I assume they keep most of their full scenes off their own tube site. You'll notice that all these companies do that, except for some excerpts, compilations minus cum shots and a few older scenes.

I hate tube sites; not only because I don't want to support piracy, but also because they are just god awful... ads, poor quality (I admit I haven't been to one in ages, I just remember checking them out in the past and they were garbage for someone used to full screen high quality media). This will sound crazy...... I hope one day the porn industry all comes together like music and movies have, and create one big place for streaming content for a low monthly cost. That is about the best way to combat piracy these days. iTunes and Netflix (for example), took a big bite out of piracy because you can get everything easily, in one place, in top quality, on all devices, for a low cost. There will always be pirates, however there is a lot less music piracy than the Napster days, and far less people downloading movie torrents when they have their various streaming movie services, or VOD on their television package. Apple re captured hundreds of millions of dollars that was lost to piracy when they got iTunes off the ground with most of the music companies. Dare to dream. PS - these big porn companies that own tube sites have no incentive to do this sadly, It's like if Sony owned Napster back in the day; they wouldn't care about an iTunes model if they were stealing everyone else's music and making money off ads and clicks to support their own music.

^ Also pop ups and viruses. I don't understand why people stream TV illegally on their computers. Looks terrible (Netflix and other legal services obviously look a lot better). I could understand if it was OOP stuff unavailable elsewhere, like some of the TV movies you can find on Youtube that aren't commercially available (although I see Warner has started to stream some films for free and pay via Youtube too). But then those who care for quality are always in the minority. VHS mostly looked like shit but the convience won out over quality. And nothing is more convienent than free. As for the rest of your post I agree that would be ideal but it is important to have that separation between distributors and content providers. Steam is another example of the appeal of a walled garden approach. I doubt that the porn industry could come together to arrange something like that and the continuing social marginalization of the genre (despite the much ballyhooed mainstreaming of porn) would make corporations gun shy about gettting involved in something like that. It may also be too late, Itunes sort of stemmed the bleeding of the music industry but it really is a shadow of its former self (profits dropped 50-70 percent and digital and streaming have not made up for those loses). Similarly there's nothing to encourage LP and MG to create such a service. Why they haven't been sued into oblivion is another question. Probably due to the misapplication of naive ideas of 'internet freedom'?

It would probably cost a lot of money to do this; who wants to fund it? Probably a lost cause. And I doubt any Dept of Justice person would want to be the one who launches a crusade against porn piracy :) Edited by - Canadian_Cindy on 1/15/2016 8:25:53 PM

^^Apparently, Met Art had (EDIT: has) sued multiple sites, including the site owned by the people behind LP (a site which, bizarrely, was also sued by <bMindGeek</b). Edited by - misspornUSA on 1/15/2016 10:36:00 PM

^ Fuck, Now I REALLY wish another another company would rise up challenge LegalPorno's domination in the hardcore anal and DAP niche's. As you know I used to dislike them just for their male talent, but after reading more about them in this thread there's SOOOOO much more to dislike!

Maybe we need to talk that Alvin guy into filming some DAP's pronto! Might be an interesting twist to get one with a story line and some passion to it

^^While the business side of things is kind of fascinating to read about, it doesn't change my view of LP in the least. I like the content, so I buy it, simple as that.

I find it interesting we have two women buying their scenes and most of the males hate them (at least based on posts here) :)

I agree, at least the passion part (in Gonzo). I always loved Timea Bella's scenes for Gonzo because she was IMO the girl I most believed was really into her scenes. She was quite timid early in her career and turned into a DAP (and TAP) animal. And Julie Skyhigh is quite vocal (for a Euro-Girl anyway) in her scenes for Giorgio and are fucking BEYOND hot. I've always been able to cut Euro-Girls some slack for their lack of passion in most scenes (as compared to US girls) because let's face it, for the most part they're all ridiculously beautiful.

I wouldn't think it would be a Dept of Justice case, I meant the porn companies. These days though they are probably lucky to just be making enough money to keep running and the Youtube case is probably the real reason. One of those rulings that makes sense in principle but fails in reality. I do remember Evil Angel bringing a case against physical piracy in Canada and they won that. Piracy per se is nothing new to porn, there use to be pirate reels of porn movies in circulation during the days of theatrical porn and the arrival of VHS lead to a big boom in pirating as well but obviously nothing like the ubiquity of todays piracy.

When it comes to machines and machinery acts and such manhandling I guess I would still prefer some old Stallone out in the bush making a mess up in Oregon, and he could sure put out some thoughts too. Legal Porno is just a hit and run.

Blaming the rise of tubesites for the lack of creativity in porn is a pretty obvious coppout. Most porn makers have no fucking imagination. Thats why every scene you see, nearly across the board, takes place in a white sterile million dollar home somewhere. You can pretty much predict how the action is going to flow in every scene. You know every fucking angle they'll shoot and which angles they won't shoot. Every...Fucking..Scene. LP is no exception to this. American studios all do the same shit over and over and over as well. No one tries something new with where they place the camera. And even when they have the shot, there is virtually no direction given to the performers in order to maximize the sexiness of whats happening. Tubesites didn't cause that. Any joe picking up a camera and calling himself a pornographer, did that.

Clearly creativity has taken a dive since the gonzo period kicked in. There's only so many ways to shoot people fucking, hence the growth of circus act sex like LP, the early days of Red Light, But just before the Tubesites kicked in I was liking the direction of a lot of modern porn in the 2010s: Elegant Angel's showcases, big butts, more body types than ever before, vignettes and smattering of features, dudes who didn't look like creepy uncles or prison escapees, g/g and kinky subgenres, becoming more popular and 'mainstream,' IR and black-on-black moving beyond a cheap niche. etc, etc. The law of averages though tells us that the less porn produced, the less chance of anything of interest being produced. What makes a great scene to me is the chemistry of the performers and that lightning in a bottle isn't going to happen with every scene so the more produced, the better chance of something good. Tubesites and illegal downloading has eviscerated the porn industry, so the less production, the less chance of any diversity or quality.

^I haven't listened to the interview, but Hope did great work for LP and didn't look either bored or afraid. I wish I was as wealthy as balbars and had as much time on my hands. I too would like to see most of LP's shoots. Edited by - misspornUSA on 1/17/2016 12:32:57 AM
I love seeing hot girls going air tight, but LP does seem to have a fondness for the showing the odd splodge of anal seepage, as well as the Adriano style freakshow views of raw, gaping assholes.

This is true, there are only so many ways to shoot people fucking, but why does everyone have to use the same way, everytime. I'll give you an example. In one of the euroangels hardball scenes, two guys buttfuck a sexy long legged redhead in some pool hall. At the end, they bust in and around her gaping asshole. There's nothing new about this sequence. However, the camera angle that christoph clark used is what sets it apart. You had a close shot where her asshole is in the foreground, then standing over her where the two guys squirting while taking turns dipping in her butt. That one shot, made all the difference in what would've been a mundane ending. In most doggy scenes, why is there no angels where the girl is facing the camera? No variation whatsoever. Sometimes, we like to see the girl's body, from every angle. Black on black has all but disappeared since black females have been pushed out of the industry. Yeah there's a few here and there, but around the turn of the century, you had a large number to select from. Today you hear interracial and there's no way you think its anything but a black man slamming a white girl. All it takes is one person to break the current assembly line mold. You can even set a context when it comes to gonzo porn. They used to film nasty ass porn in what was clearly someone's kitchen, livingroom, etc. Now its in spaces that your average person is not gonna be in from day to day. Whatever happened to the kuckmal? (yes, i'm an assman through and through.) Edited by - Jedi Master Bates on 1/17/2016 3:50:33 PM

some of us really love gapes, so no complains here.
I had a great time shooting for Lp. Yes, it was rough shooting three DPs in three days. My body just isn't use to that with that being said I would do it all over again. Enjoy Hope Howell

I didn't say you said that. I specifically said that I said it -- "my words, not hers." Anyone who is interested can listen to the interview and decide for themselves whether the term I chose to use was a fair commentary, given your description of the employment.
That was I meant, same scenes and attitudes in the same scenarios, over and over again, I understand that there are people that will be ok with most LP stuff, but I'm not one of them, every decade has it cons and pros, but in the past some movies where funny, others where intense or passionate, who remembers Michael Nin elegance style nowadays?, even the Bangbus guys when started where something fresh, but now those guys in LP are impossing an style in porn that I do not like at all, and others are slowly following, which in the end will kill the fun. There are some performes who seem to enjoy this way of shooting porn, ok for them, but these same performers tend to quit really fast in the industry, one reason is that once you have seen them do any imaginable sex act in front of a camera, in a couple of years you get bored of watching the same woman do the same tricks over and over again or the producers move to the new girl on the block an so on, I prefer the american slow approach, with the performers going slowly in their careers, so when they did that dreamed scene you where waiting for, you can enjoy it for real and value it more. Thats the trouble with LP starlets, first movie if they are shy you get a huge anal with no glamour or grace at all, second or third you get DP or DAP, lots of spitting, fake moans and artificial passion, not my thing. I already posted why I do not will support with my money in another comment, if others do so, is up to them, but in a few years if things doesn't change, those same people that now are praising that studio will be complaining in the future, it happened before, and people seems to forget easily.

True, that's one of the reasons. But as i previously stated elsewhere, Omar Galanti mentioned in his thread here @ ADT that many Euro-Girls nowadays are just in the business to put themselves thru college which could explain their all in as fast as possible philosophy. I prefer the slow build approach in the US much better as well. Hell, Part of the reason I joined ADT way back when was to keep up with Juela Ventura's excruciatingly slow build up to her first anal in 2009, I found it truly exciting. Sadly that's fading in the US market as well.
I'm one of those people. I joined in 2013 and I'm BARELY holding on only because of Giorgio Grande. In his LP forum thread he responds suggestions from his fans as to what they'd like, let's see if he acts on them.
I respect everybody preferences but I'm not one of Grandi's fans, in fact I do not like his style at all. I hated the guy in his rocco's days and I still despise him nowadays, but he is perfectly suited to LP way of making videos if that is your sorta thing.

Well, lets just say he's definitely contributions are the least worst on Legalporno, but I have to have SOMEWHERE to go to satiate my DAP cravings. And for the record I didn't like him much as a performer either.
One thing I'm grateful to LP guys, they made me search in my collection of DAP in other studios and make me enjoy those more these days. I like DAP scenes too, but not from that site anymore.

agreed. Giorgio is the only reason I even check LP these days. He even brought us Halona Vog.
Even Asstraffic or DPFanatics had better shoots or performers than LP, and their female women looked like ice queens most of the time. Giorgio Grandi is not my style, but everybody is entitled to have thier preferences. In a few years or months another will come and take their place, using an aggressive campaign is showing that their stuff is not as strong or fan based as before, they are trying to figure now how to keep it longer than others.
