First of all, on the Josh Stone thread, Isis clearly stated that she has worked with Prince Yashua, who, last I checked, is unequivocally African-American. She has also stated that while she is selective with the black men she works with in IR scenes, she also stated that she is selective with her white male partners as well; in fact, with all her partners. On that thread, she and Josh both described her husband, Ethan Hunt, as black. Second, to Isis, let me say that no one is trying to force you to do anything, unless in jest. This is an issue where passions run deep because of issues that have festered before you were born. I can only imagine you feel somewhat bewildered because you wandered into the middle of a highly politicized conversation where at least my side feels that the stakes are huge and only getting larger - see my post on the "The definitive IR thread". Okay, here's the deal, I won't attack someone personally here, because you're not even worth my time, let's just say there are very good posts here, but also major "dumbfuckish" ones that just reek of lack of any intelligence at all. Now I feel I something to say about this issue: first of all, I don't know how many who have posted in this thread actually are from Europe, but I believe I could name a few, because I am from the middle of Europe and I think we see things a little different over here. Which does not mean there's no racism in Europe. Anyhow, I'm from Europe, I'm white, and I have a black girlfriend for many years now. And even after all those years and even we're living in 2009 there's still people who look at us in utter horror and disgust. Admittedly, it's a vast minority, but it still happens on a regular basis. Being white I didn't know what it feels like being looked at that way, and when I first experienced this I just wanted to go straight to this stupid motherfucker and kick his fuckin face in. Good thing I didn't, because I would have amassed a lot of jail time by now. What I wanted to say is that it was a new feeling for me, and not a good one, but something I had to deal with from this day on. Now to the thread relevant things: my GF and I have had very different friends, hers are mostly black and mine onyl white, and this IR issue has followed us pretty much everywhere we go, everywhere we're at. But in the end it's not a real issue, just something we talk about with friends and family. Anyhow, what I wanna say is, that my GF has black friends, both female and male, who are not sexually attracted to white people at all and I have such friends too, who feel the same way about black people. But this is everything else than racism, it's just a choice of sexual preferences, and everyone who calls such people racists is a stupid narrowminded dumbfuck who in fact doesn't know what she or he is talkin about. First of all, I would bet that for some of those people this whole thing only applies one way, meaning that only white people who aren't attracted to black people are racists and not the other way around.
