Preston still shoots some of the scenes for AP. He shot the most recent one. I don't have a problem with him. He's a pretty good performer and pornographer. I just wish he didn't shoot all his FacialFest scenes in POV only.

Having women blindfolded in a sex scene. What's up with that? Not only are the eyes an essential component to a beautiful face, it also can reveal a lot of what's going on sexually, i.e. whether the woman is turned on or not. If she's into the scene, I want to see it expressed on her entire face. Why cover up the eyes? It's only the most expressive feature of the face.
As a girly girl, who absolutely does like watching porn, I have to say, I don't get why more of it isn't marketed at women. We like hardcore porn too, so why does it have to have a disgusting title with aged gorillas who grunt or wheeze, or worse disrespect their partners? Men watching porn typically want to see young, hot girls and we want to see young, hot men! So come on! Also, the excuse that men buy more porn is lame. When I was in college, I was in a sorority and every semester one of our sisterhoods was a Passion Party (sex toys, lube, lingerie). After getting worked up by games like "hot dildo" or sampling some warming lotions, more than half of the girls bought toys. So girly women, would for sure by porn if it was made appealing to us.I think if more porn was marketed with women in mind, they might see more of that lost profit they keep complaining about. In general though... I don't get gaping, or stretching of any kind. I don't get water sports and I definitely don't get medical equipment. It freaks me out and reminds me of my annual gyno visit, which isn't a blast.
One thing I don't get is anilingus. What do people find hot about it? Even if someone's anus is all clean it's not something I can imagine as pleasant for either one involved.
As for the editing thing, I see how it can be annoying if it's dizzying. My opinion on teases and intros changes enough on it's own anyway... But I did an ADT review for a scene from Hustler Hardcore Vault 7, and the scene with Sandra Romain from "Double Dippin" started with a highly edited tease. The tease even had some cuts to blowjobs outside. I would usually agree with the thought it is a bad idea, but that was SO HOT.
I saw that in a Japanese porn flick. I almost fell out of my chair laughing. The camera was zoomed in really tight on the woman's face. I had no idea what was going to happen and all of the sudden, I see this larger than life, writing tongue enter from the side. She turned her head a bit and gave him a weird look and then he stuck his tongue up her nostril. She said something in Japanese and he went "Nnnnnnnnuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhh!"

I hear you. It's kind of like the situation in erotic still photography. There was a time when film (and magazine pages, and even server space/bandwidth limits in the early days of the 'Net) were precious commodities. Photographers had to pick their shots carefully, separate the wheat from the chaff, and publish only the very best images out of a photoshoot, so the final product only included maybe a dozen or so pictures. Nowadays, without those limitations, they shoot 500 images of ONE woman in ONE setting (often with a dozen or more images with nearly the exact same pose, just minor variations to distingush them), throw the whole mess up on a website, and leave it to the audience to wade through the mess and pick out the pictures that are actually worth viewing. Hell, they'll even leave in images that are blurry, out-of-focus, badly exposed, or badly composed. I'm all for giving the audience the power to decide what's good and what's not, but seriously, SOME editorial discretion would be better than none at all. It's much the same way in gonzo porn. If the trend continues, we'll soon see DVDs that are nothing but raw unedited video, everything from when the actors walk onto the set to where they leave, with the camera rolling the whole time in-between... including herky-jerky whipping around as the photographer changes positions, inadvertent shots of the floor or ceiling, shots of guys jerking off to stay hard while the girl takes a smoke break, and on and on and on. Literally never stopping the camera for any reason. That way, the porn studios can just fire all their editors and save a ton of money not doing post-production! PCH
I'm surprised people do it at home. It's one of the things I thought only happen in porn because they used to have a certain shock value at some point.
