Some might read into this as Jules is helping Brazzers, which, as far as I'm concerned, isn't the case.
Brazzers is working hard towards owning everything. A big statement, I know, but these guys don't need Jules. Jules needs them. I would be willing to bet that Brazzer's controls 75%+ of the online porn traffic at any one time. I've quoted Alexa rankings here, but if you don't believe me, play around on Alexa and see for yourself.
Now they're branching out into the DVD market, and instead of Porn Valley hindering that process, they've got folks like Jules Jordan in their back pocket.
How much easier are we gonna make it for them?
Agents shouldn't be booking Brazzer's scenes; free porn has slowed down this industry to the point it's hard for talent to make anything near what they once did.
Directors in Porn Valley should be passing on working for them; let them find girls in Canada and shoot it all themselves. See how far it gets them.
I know this might sound stupid and naive, but if this keeps going, you're gonna see one or two huge players in this biz, and everyone else fighting for the scraps.

If this is coming to an end I would like to say Thank You MikeSouth for putting a spot light on Jules and how he is destroying our industry. For the last year or so I have heard store owners bitch about Jules but no one in the industry.
If store owners are talking and industry people are now coming out on this topic at least the word will spread about Jules.
Thanks Mike

If it was wrong for Adultbouncer to misuse Jules' content, isn't it equally wrong for Brazzers to misuse the content of other studios?

I'm a porn consumer. I don't focus very much on the persons who produce porn, so the name "Mike South" is new to me. I've been following this thread, and I've been perplexed a bit, because there are obviously undercurrents with which I'm unfamiliar. Beyond that, I have no way of knowing whether something that I see on a website is pirated or if it appears there by mutual agreement.
That brings me to mikesouth.com. Not having noticed him prior to reading this thread, I decided to look at his website to get a sense of what he does. There is a section on his website that says (sic): Click here for Todays FREE Galleries". I did that. That took me to a menu, one item of which was: Janine Lindemulder enjoys a big dick. I clicked on that, and it took me to some content at http://www.pretty-pornstar.com/juggs/plibajanlinde/gall136.html . A legend at the top of the content there says: Brought to you by BRAZZERS, and the photos of Janine have a Brazzers stamp on them.
So, here are my questions: Is that content really from Brazzers, and, if it is, was the linkage chain from the mikesouth.com site somehow put on his site just to embarrass him? Is anything pirated in this linkage chain? Does Mike South have some sort of arrangement with someone or something that results in a person such as me, looking around on his site, making a couple of clicks and getting to some content ostensibly from Brazzers?
Now, in reading his posts in this thread, it's pretty clear that Mike South is very unhappy with Brazzers. I don't really understand the business relationships (or lack thereof) to get a sense of the fairness of his comments in this thread. On the other hand, I was just on his site, and, to my surprise, a couple of clicks got me to something supposedly related to Brazzers. What's up with that?

actually i try very hard to keep brazzers, adultfriendfinder and bang brothers content OFF my tgp but the filters dont always work and some submitters are auto approved.
rest assured I have turned down advertising that would put money into my pocket from some of these dirtbags...so they slip through once in a while on 100 tgp slots......I block far more than that and when I catch em I try to remove em.
you can bet yer ass i dont pay brazzers to rip me off.....

As a consumer I don't have the intimate knowledge of this fight and how the download sites have killed the business.
What I do have is my complete dissatisfaction with the state of porn.
I buy a DVD and this is what I get. A girl in lousy makeup and badly done hair, staggers into frame wearing a busted up pair of stripper heels. She stands over the camera, rubs her pussy with a bunch of red razor burns into camera. Her ugly gigantic belly tattoo is now in full focus. Some dude with equally ridiculous tats and steroid pumped arms walks into frame and pulls his dick and she starts sucking. They do three positions and he pops.
Three more scenes just like that and the DVD is over. So I just paid 17.95 for something a chimp could've shot. And not a particularly talented chimp either.
I have no doubt that making anything free is going to murder the business. I was a full time freelance writer and can safely say with over 400 magazines going out of business last year, people won't pay for articles when they can get a free version of it online.
However before the internet, magazines used to go out of business all the time because they didn't put out a very good product (yes there were a hundred other reasons why too, but being bad was a very valid reason to go out of business).
I stopped dealing with streaming sites for the most part because they're virus laden and I don't download much porn unless it's something I absolutely can't find elsewhere, because even the twenty minutes it might take to download two parts of something from rapidshare isn't worth the effort because the porn is so badly made. Seriously, it's just shit. The girls look bad and nobody spent five cents on hair and makeup- and this is before the internet killed the golden goose of profit. The work might as well be coming out of a halfway house.
I won't get started on various credit card scams that have existed with internet porn sites; it's one of those sad things that tar an industry with a single brushstroke. But I can guarantee unless a site takes paypal or some other method where they never get my credit card info, I will never join (well maybe Lady Sonia, she really puts out a good MILF product...)
I'm just saying while no one deserves to have their work stolen, porn with several dubious business practices and shoddy product has made it very easy for people to have less sympathy for their losses.

You, my friend, have summed it up better than anyone so far. Piracy, tube sites, Brazzers, Jules Jordan, the tooth fairy etc have certainly contributed to our current state of affairs, but unimaginative Gonzo crap has made porn completely disposable. I have certainly shot my share of gonzo crap but the present reality of the biz is forcing everyone to up their game. The upside is that you might see a renaissance in the quality and imagination of porn. The downside is that Brazzers and others will steal that too and we all go out of business regardless.

I just don't get this terrible argument between JulesJordan and Mike South.
First of al who is Mike South, what doe she do ?
And I suppose by tube sites they mean a porn version of you tube ?
And if Tubesites are killing the mainstream studios, why would JulesJordan (who has made some really good pron) pay brazzers to put his videos on their sites ?

well Mike, seems that you too are supporting Brazzers!, and making money from it.....i've found a bunch of other links on your site that lead right to Brazzers, and its very apparent, so if you are claiming i'm guilty of something then so are you.......its funny that the people that complain the most are the ones who have NO content on the tube sites, my content is the EVERYWHERE on the tubes....is it killing my business?....NO, do I like it? NO, the reason sites are "getting away" with it is because of the horrible DMCA law....once again, I do not own a tube site or profit from tube sites in any way......
Many people dont know this but I actually own stores around the Los Angeles area, I know what is going on at the store level, nothing is killing quality productions, people that want quality know where to get it, people that want cheap or free garbage with horrible quality know where to get it.....

I clearly wasn't singling you out for being responsible for the demise of the industry hence my also referencing the tooth fairy. It is clear however that free porn legal or illegal, is doing to the brick and mortar business and online retailers what Napster did to the music business.

I'm just a consumer/connoisseur, so I don't pretend to understand the internal politics of a business that obviously doesn't mind airing its dirty laundry in public. So, my observations are that of any outsider; but since you've introduced the topic into public discourse, I'll jump in.
I've enjoyed a lot Jules Jordan's work, but I had never heard of mikesouth.com. So, like Irex, I decided to check it out. Since Mike South said that he is virtually un-offendable, I have a couple of questions, if you don't mind.
1) In the upper right-hand corner is a message that reads "FUCK YOU AEBN." AEBN is also one of the places I regularly get my porn. Are you accusing them of being pirates also, or are you just an enemy of the entire business?
2) All of the other sites have an "Adults Only" warning, but you don't. How have you been able to evade the Kiddie-Porn-Cops? Is your site legal?
3) What exactly is it that you do in porn? I looked at your site, and if you take out the Jules Jordan stuff, its about ABBA, the stimulus package, and the autobiographical musings of somebody named Julie. And from what I was able to find out, you live in Georgia--is there much porn production in Georgia, or do you comment from a disconnected distance?

This is true.
If you want to sit there for 2 hours and download crap in poor quality, with the added chance of a virus, it is there for you.
You never get something for nothing, you always get nothing for something.
Quality will prevail.
People are tactile buyers, they will always love the shopping experience.
There is nothing more satisfying than walking in a store, shopping around, touching, seeing and buying what you want.
Leaving with your purchase in hand, and going home to play with it.
No internet can replace that.

not true woody
The full HD version is available for download, menus and all
the days of only being able to get low quality and risking getting viruses are LONG GONE.
and to the guy asking abou8t aebn, no they are not pirates, they cut my affiliate payout percentage and i said fuck you.
and if that was all you got out of ten years of posts on my site you are seriously lacking reading comprehension
I just call it the way i see it....you dont like it go cuddle with Jules, yall can gasp about how mean I am. LOL

Woody: When you are talking about content used for a 5 minute jack-off session, I'd have to disagree. I think that is why free porn is such a negative for the porn industry.
1) It's free for the user.
2) You aren't buying a piece of art, or a durable good, or even something that you may hold as having some form of long-term intrinsic value. You are buying something to use as a masturbatory aid.
3) It is IMMEDIATELY available. You got the urge to jerk off, you hit a tube site and you are done 5 mins later.
4) Therefore, given the above, quality and value are both totally subjective for the intended use.
This is like saying you would enjoy going to the store and fondling kleenex boxes and sampling various types of lubricants before you go home to use them for jacking off. Masturbation just isn't that big of a decision. It's 100% impulse-driven. When your impulses can be fed immediately at no cost....well, you get the picture.
Now for some percentage of the porn consumers out there, porn may take the form of a collectible or hold some artistic value as erotica. These are called "fans" and they make up a far smaller percentage of the marketplace than the strokers. While they may also use this content for masturbation or other sexual gratification, they don't want a scene on a computer screen, they want something much better. THOSE customers, I agree, you can't totally win over with just internet fare. This is the same group you'll see at AEE and other trade events...the groupies of porn. Unfortunately, I think they likely represent a tiny fraction of the total porn consuming public. I'm not one and I'm on this board posting....I haven't bought but a handful of DVD's over the past 5 years, although I do subscribe to a lot of internet porn websites. I don't think I've been in an adult bookstore since...wow, I can't even remember when.
As for low quality and viruses, while I agree most Tube sites offer less-than-perfect quality, the entire ISO image for a full DVD, HD/Blue Ray or normal, are easily available to anyone with a high-speed connection. We aren't talking crappy rips...but complete, distribution-ready exact images with zero loss in quality. Brandon and others here know what I'm talking about....the entire website is "siteripped" and available for download, or the entire DVD (extras, menus and all) is available for download. All within an hour if its 5gigs or less in size. Times have changed.
