Wrong. It's political correctness, not biology.
Ah, so you have a degree in biology? Gonna start talking alleles and gene expression now?

I think it's pretty obvious that someone who refuses to do something that loads of rather aggressive, intolerant people insist she do to remain orthodox is a good example of having principles. I don't care if that something is lesbian sex or IR, or banging midgets for that matter.

^From what I hear about the porn industry, it's usually aggressive, intolerant people who are the ones insisting that certain girls not do IR.
If the porn industry itself didn't attach such a taboo stigma to IR, which is really unbelievable considering it's the porn industry where everything it does is taboo, then I seriously believe that most of the girls who don't do IR would have absolutely no problem doing it, especially since many of them have done it in their private lives.

It would be useful to have some numbers on black women for comparison, just as it would be useful to have a bit more granularity than "non-black women." How many black women refuse to do non-black guys? How many Asian women refuse to do non-Asian guys? How many white women refuse to do non-white guys? Etc.
And I love how the response against the "homophobic" argument comes down to GUYS' sexual preferences, when we're talking about WOMEN, not MEN. Patriarchy to the rescue of PC!

You mean the rumor mill? That's reliable. Couldn't ever be rumors started by aggressive, intolerant IR fans within the industry, then? I mean, look at the militancy here on this forum. Think that has no representation inside the industry?
What percentage of the supposed taboo surrounding IR is marketing? Apparently that taboo is what turns on lots of IR fans (probably the white ones) because it infuses the product and its marketing. That needs to be separated from the actual taboo, I think. Might be talking about a different taboo than the one you're referring to, if so clarify please.
I also find your argument that the IR taboo is absurd because porn is taboo to be unconvincing. Where's the incest, rape, snuff porn industry? Lots of things are taboo in porn. It's only natural for someone on the fringe of acceptability to point at someone further out from the center and cry "heretic!" It's how people on the fringe try to legitimize their own behavior.
http://www.slate.com/id/2177637/nav/tap3/
That's an article about an interesting study done on race and dating. It found that women have a strong preference for their own race vis-a-vis dating. And the article doesn't mention it, but if memory serves, this "racism" is strongest in black women.
Sorry for all the edits, hope no one is thrown by them.

@john_qyoo_public: Before I start this post I should mention a few things:
1. None of the percentages I will mention reflect g/g-only female performers, as the numbers I looked at were for female performers who do engage in b/g porn.
2. In all references to "race" of the performers, I'm using the definitions of "race" that are used in the porn industry.
3. All of the information below is in reference to the American porn industry. There are many posts and threads in the past here on ADT that point out that any concerns with the regards to the race of the performer one is matched with are almost exclusive to the American porn industry as opposed to other countries. If you want to know more about that, rather than ask me about it, please seek those out yourself.
Ok, so here we go:
Numbers on how many black women refuse to work with non-black men can be obtained in the same fashion as the other percentage that I quoted - go to the main modeling sites (these can be found in the list "Talent Agencies" which is a sticky thread at the top of the "Star Crossed" forum), and see how many of the black women do not have "interracial" listed on their model cards. I have done this as well as the former, and I can tell you that the number works out to 0% (in other words, less that 0.5%, so it rounds down to 0%). You can easily verify this for yourself in a relatively short amount of time.
I assume you mean you'd like to know what percentage of Asian women do not work with black men compared to what percentage of white women do not work with black men, etc. I have not done this, but if I had to take a stab at it I would estimate that the number is less than 70% for Asian and Latino women (probably closer to 60%), but higher than 70% for white women (maybe as high as 75%). I don't know if that helps you at all. Again, you can find out these numbers by the means I've outlined above if you desire more accuracy.
Because we're talking about the American porn industry, the percentage of Asian women who won't work with non-Asian men is zero, as there are no Asian men in the American porn industry (check that - there is now one, Hung Lo, but so far he has not, to my knowledge, worked with any performers who have done b/g with him exclusively). So if there was a b/g performer who didn't work with non-Asian men, she would never shoot a b/g scene.
When you ask about the number of white women who refuse to work with non-white guys, I assume you want a separation between the number of white women who refuse to work with black guys specifically, from the number of white women who refuse to work with black males as well as Latino males and Asian males. As described in my post above, the way the industry works is that if a girl has "IR" on her model card, she can be booked with a black male, otherwise she cannot. So as far as other males, it is assumed and expected that if a white woman who does not do IR is booked for a scene, and she shows up and the man is neither black nor on her no list, and his test is clean, then she will work with him. In other words, in the American porn industry there is no option for saying "no Latinos" or "no Asians". (Though again, the "no Asians" one was moot until very recently with the introduction of the only Asian male performer, Hung Lo). So there would be no statistical difference between the number of white women who refuse to work with black men specifically, and the number of white women who refuse to work with any non-white man. Perhaps it is relevant at this point to mention that there are a large number of non-black (usually white, in fact) women who don't work with black men who have gone to Japan and worked with Asian men.
I'm not sure there are any other categories to look at. Black women with non-black men, Different races of women with men outside of their own race vs. with their own race. I think that about covers it. Oh, I guess I could also mention that there have been some extremely isolated, though nonetheless in existence, cases of Black women who will not work with Black men. I have heard of two such cases in porn. Though in one of those cases, IIRC, there was some dispute as to whether the woman considered herself to be "black" or not.
It seems strange that you would add this to the end of a post where you were addressing my post, as my post did not address anything at all about the "homophobic" argument, explicit or implied.
______________________________
Ok so after writing all of that, I think I should point out that my post which you quoted from had as its express purpose proving the illegitimacy of a particular argument commonly given by both performers and others as to why certain performers choose not to work with black men. I believe I successfully showed that particular argument to be false, using the reasons I provided in that post. I don't know whether you wanted to dispute that argument of mine, and claim that the particular argument is in fact not false, or whether you simply had issues with the numbers listed at the end of my argument. If it was the latter, I hope that I could provide you with a bit more info as to the numbers, and related numbers. If it was the former, I'd like to know where you think lies the fault in my logic.

Sorry Bill, those were mostly rhetorical questions. I do have a follow-up question though - how many women are working in the industry who don't have performer pages? Because I have a hard time believing that there are no black women who work exclusively with black men and don't need to announce the fact on a page somewhere. How many of them have agents calling them about IR, compared to white women? Let's face it, the demands aren't comparable.
It's also obvious that black women have a strong preference for men of their own race, to an extent that non-black women do not, the above study aside.
I think we'd be better served by looking at the data for society as a whole, rather than for porn, because the former is a popular subject of study and statistics-gathering, and the latter is not.
The "And" was meant as a segue.
If you concisely restate the argument and your counter, I'll respond quickly. Otherwise I'll wait until the mood strikes me, if at all, to address the arguments. Might do it later tonight.

No one is saying that the women can't fuck black males. I just believe in the same argument that the pro-choice movement uses. It is the woman's body therefore it is the woman's right to choose what goes into or comes out of it. This to me supersedes all other aspects of the topic.

For those of you that think actresses being willing fuck all races except blacks is ok let me pose a question. Lets say for example I was an investor that was looking to get into the porn industry. Lets say I wanted to help a performer start a production company. I announced that I would be investing 1 million dollars each to help up 30 performers become producers. I announce one stipulation. I will consider all performers except white females. Would that be ok?

If it is your own money, you can choose how you want to spend/invest/waste it. No problem w/that. If you were some publicly-owned investment firm with shareholders and board of directors and all that crap, then it would be a problem because some of those shareholders/directors probably will not agree with that stipulation and they have some power over you.

^Not to mention the fact that it would also be illegal for an investment firm to discriminate on the basis of race. That holds true for all industries, except porn.
Considering this has been said by people who work in the industry, who are not all black by the way, I can't think of any logical reason that these people would need to spread false rumors. There are even women who have worked in the industry who have admitted that they were advised against doing IR. When people who work in the industry are saying that it's not necessarily the models, but the industry as a whole that is racist, then it adds some validity to the allegation. Plus, we don't need them to tell us what is already obvious. If you look at the negative way that the porn industry treats race, then it is not at all far-fetched to see how these same attitudes would be imposed upon others working in the industry as well.
Believe you me, if there was truly IR "militancy" in the porn industry, then there would be no such thing as a girl refusing to do it. The ones who are militant are the ones who continually insist that IR be kept separate. Take Sineplex, for example. That studio had to create a whole separate IR line (Sinterracial) that didn't exist before, simply because so many people were complaining that the studio was including IR scenes (gasp!) in movies that were not IR-specific. Obviously, many people throw a hissy-fit if a movie dares to have IR sex in a "regular" porn movie. Is raising an issue over something so trivial not anti-IR militancy?
Rape, incest, and snuff are not taboo. They are illegal. You can't compare non-consensual sex and murder to the act of having sex with someone of a different race. That's a foolish comparison. Plus, outside of the porn world, IR is as taboo as people living together before marriage. It's 2009. IR sex is not shocking and illicit anymore. It's time for the porn world to accept that.

You can't get pregnant by investing. You can't get an STD by investing. You can't get an internal injury by investing. Again, if you want to be the one to decide what gets or doesn't get put in a vagina you must first have a vagina.

Lets take it a little further. Its 3 yrs down the line and the economy has been devastated. Porn in particualr has taken a major hit. All the major company have folded. Hustler, DP, Vivid, etc all gone. I however have done very well. I also have about 20 associates that have done well, and they decide to get into the porn industry too. Each announces the same offer that I originally offer. They will invest in promising porn companies not headed by white females. This infusion of capital is so powerful that the companies my associates and I found are the new Vivid, DP, Hustler. These companies are headed by blacks, asians, latinos, men and women as well as caucasian men, just no white females. They are excluded. They can work for the companies, they just are effectively excluded from being major players as producers because the companies my associates and I founded control all the tube sites, all the major distribution channels. Lets say we have some irrational belief as to why white females should not be able to run porn companies. Lets say we believe that if it were revealed that a white female were running a company that it would hurt the industry. Or lets just say that we value our money, like porn stars presumably value there bodies, and we feel that we should be able to spend our money with whom we choose. Totally irrational, and disprovable, but thats what we believe and we have the power. My question is not whether the aformentioned scenario would be legal or not, I know that it would not be. My question is would that be ok with you.

Frankly its up to the girls in question who they want to have sex with. I respect Alexis Love's honesty. This from a guy who loves interracial more than any other porn genre. Let the girl make up their own mind for chrissakes without making a huge issue. We live in a free country and I honestly do not see why this thread is getting into the murky waters of race, religion and all sorts of political shite. Maybe, just maybe, black don't float certain pornbabes' boats...end of f*****g story. Personally, I don't go for black chicks in porn or real life or wouldn't enjoy seeing Asian guys doing porn period. Absolutely nothing against these ethnic groups outside of the sex arena! Porn is an entertainment and I actually welcome some diversity and political incorrectness (as long as it doesn't step over the line of being outright racist).
Somewhere else on his great forum there was debate over a recent Hush Hush DVD release that dared to use the N word in its title! I could hardly believe the resulting comments were from supposed porn fans!!! It was more like some pinko whinge-a-thon. Most people totally missed the point that Hush Hush were being provocative and rather amusing...cutting through all the bullshit that makes many of us enjoy the hardest gonzo interracial smut...the still taboo aspect of white chicks getting defiled by hung black dudes and loving it.
Porn is the last bastion of freedom of speech so let's not persecute anyone for expressing a preference for who they do and don't like to get it on with! Take it for what it: a persona choice. I wouldn't want anyone dissing me for MY choice of sexual partner, what gives Mr Unferth and his ilk the right to get on their high horses? Jeez.

Oops a brief PS to my last missive:
In any profession there is more than likely a precentage of the workers who MAY have racist beliefs so porn probably isn't any different! Sure we all want the performers in the ultimate industry for free expression to be all enlightened open-minded Utopians without a hint of prejudice but life just isn't that kind.
Deal with it, vote with your wallets by not buying the movies of that particular individual who's views you suspect might be racially motivated and move on. There are thousands of chicks who ARE happily getting their sexual kicks with hot black guys for our viewing pleasure (with more and more fresh babes joining their ranks every day) so why get hot under the collar about the handful of chicks who don't take a certain hue of ethnic dick?!
Really, life is too short folks.

As an Asian guy I take offense to this. I want to see Asian men in American porn having sex with all sorts of beautiful women. I want to see men who look like me. If you don't want to watch Asian guys in porn don't watch it...but you make it sound like Asian men...(even black women) should not be in porn period with the "outside the sex arena" comment. Your basically saying Asian guys can do anything except have sex in porn which I disagree with on so many levels. Talk about a glass ceiling.
Ironically I agreed with the rest of your post but ^^^ that part just killed it for me.

Sure, as long as you'd only be discriminating against white female pornographers, and no one else, then that would be completely acceptable. I know it's totally prejudiced and hypocritical. But it's porn, so it's OK.
Along with the same idea of your scenario, this is exacty why I think it's a great idea that guys like Lex and Slayer have started producing their own product, and have the independence to hire whatever models they choose to hire. I think I remember reading something about how Lex once refused to hire a girl to be in one of his movies because she was opposed to IR. She didn't mind being in the movie as long as she didn't have to do an IR scene. As I recall, Lex refused to hire her because he felt that he shouldn't have to pay someone to be in his movie who has such an attitude. I agree with that.
I have also been noticing that quite a few former non-IR girls, like Jenny Hendrix and others, have switched over and showed up in movies produced/directed by Lex and Slayer. It goes to show that having some competition in the industry can sometimes do alot to change some of the old outdated ways of the industry.

The ridiculous thing about citing that statistic here is that all male pornstars, white black or otherwise, are subject to the same testing qualifications. In other words, if the guy tests positive for chlamydia, he can't work - white, black, or otherwise.
So it really doesn't matter how many more blacks have chlamydia than whites in the population in general. If a porn performer has it, he won't be working, so a girl has an equal chance of getting it from a white or black male performer. Which is to say, not a very big chance at all.

Killbill,
The tests are not a guarantee that performers won't pass STD's between each other. Example...
Male performer John Q. Smith gets his test taken on the afternoon of April 1. That night, in his personal life, he has unprotected sex. From that point forward, all the way to May 1 - the next time he would be required to get his test again, any female performer he worked with would be at risk of contracting anything that John may have contracted from that night of unprotected sex. If John has multiple unprotected encounters throughout the month then the risk increases.
It really comes down to all the performers in the industry being responsible and professional and practicing safe sex in their personal lives. Do you really think that happens?

^ Yes rlankford, all that you have said is correct. There is still a chance of getting any number of STDs from other performers, and we have seen it happen in the past. Unfortunately we have even seen it happen with things far more serious than chlamydia.
My point was that when we're talking about the porn world, all of the male performers are subject to the same criteria, and as such if Black Male A and White Male B both get tested on March 1 and both test clean, then they can work for the month. What Black Male A and White Male B then do throughout the month may or may not wind up in them getting an STD. But they're both starting from scratch on March 1.
Citing "society in general" statistics assume that we're starting with a likelihood that is 8 times as great (or almost 8 times, or 7 times, or whatever) that Black Male A will have chlamydia compared to White Male B on March 1. This is where it's misleading. As stated, the only way these two performers will be working in the month of March is if they both tested clean on March 1, so it actually doesn't matter how much more likely it is in the rest of the population that any given black man has chlamydia compared to any given white man. Because both of these men don't have it.
Further, to assume that Black Male A is more likely to get chlamydia during the month than White Male B is to assume that Black Male A and White Male B are living under the same conditions throughout the rest of the country that other blacks and whites are, which causes this large discrepancy in the rates of chlamydia - that is to say, we would have to assume that Black Male A is far more likely to live in poverty than White Male B, that Black Male A has less education about STDs than White Male B, that Black Male A exists in a dating pool with far higher rates of chlamydia than White Male B, etc. But none of these things are fair assumptions here.
For the most part, black and white male performers are making similar amounts of money and thus fit into the same economic class. Of course there are a few specific 'top' male performers who make a fair bit more, but there are both some black and some white men who fit into that category. The black and white male performers in the industry both get AIM-tested and AIM-educated with regards to STDs. Many porn people also date within porn, so the dating pool can be very much the same for both men.
A similar argument was just presented in the "No lists" thread in the Star Crossed forum about blacks and HIV. But it was pointed out by a white person with HIV, in reference to a black person without HIV, that if someone chose who to sleep with out of those two people based on who is statistically more likely to have HIV, they would wind up choosing the person with HIV and not the person without. By trusting the statistics as opposed to other information that they had on the people (one was a former porn performer and the other not), the person would make an incorrect decision.
In other words, applying "society in general" statistics to a specific and known subset of the population doesn't make a lot of sense.

Man, y'all need to let this topic rest, it is what it is, if a white chic don't do black, that is her choice am black and i love to watch Ir porn, but i focus on the chics that do, kelly devine, bobi starr, aline, kelly wells, cassidy blue, holly wellin, the list goes on & on, and those are some beuatiful sexy women,so who cares about the ones that dont it is really a Non issue here, maybe in the 80s it was a issue because it was a lil different back then, but know you have so many titles of Ir is it not even a big deal, all these chics that dont do it is because this is what they choose right now, but sooner or later they will do it in there careers, and people only make a issue of it when the chic looks pretty good, like alexis texas,if she is not very attractive much wont be said about it,most women,I think from my perscective, give excuses about not doin Ir because they dont want to give there real reason becuase of the scrutiny that comes along with that, they use to say it will hurt my career, but that excuse was killed by gina lynn, jewel d'nyle, jenna haze and so on, they still went on strong after they had sex with lex,so we should not let this topic be a big issue any more,FuckiT,just watch and love the women that do.

I think I agree with felonycharm's post but there are so many grammatical and spelling errors I'm not completely sure.

That's absurd. You're using an exception as if it disproves the rule, which it does not. It's like saying "5% of all guilty verdicts are erroneous, therefore the justice system should be abolished."
Talk about bad advice in the service of political correctness...
Oh, since I'm such a race-baiting Stormfront reader, I'll point out that east Asians have a lower HIV rate (and violent crime rate, and mortgage default rate, etc.) than whites. Wow, real white supremacist here.
It's called honesty, folks. It really is that easy.

^Did you read the rest of the post that you quoted?
Go back and read it. It doesn't refer to one specific example.
The only reason I provided that specific example was for it to be just that: an example.
The "proof" wasn't in that example, it was in the rest of the post.

The higher STD rate among African Americans shouldn't be an issue in porn. Adult performers generally engage in a very high risk lifestyle anyway, and I'm not aware of any evidence that black performers - particularly professionals like Lexington Steele or Mr. Marcus - pose any heightened risk for infection. Are the white female performers who do escort work on the side excluded by the general porn population? My guess is no.
Anyway, I don't have a problem with a performer's decision to limit the types of people he or she will work with - even if sometimes arbitrary. People discriminate all the time for various reasons, both rational and irrational. I don't think this is necessarily a bad thing, since we all must make decisions - in part - based on probability. We almost never possess complete information pertaining to a given situation. For example, I feel safer taking a stroll down Broadway than I do down MLK blvd. in Harlem; not because I know for certain where a mugger might be lurking, but because of where I perceive the greatest threat to be mugged would be. I've heard that there is a stigma in the gay community against gay men who sleep with black males, and that those who do often find themselves excluded by their peers. Assuming this is occasionally true; I wouldn't criticize someone for it, even though it may be loosely termed "bigotted" or "racist." I think each individual is the best judge of which risks to take with his or her own body, and I respect that person's decision, even if based on generalities or stereotypes.
Also, I don't think there is a legal issue with exluding an adult film partner based on race - though I don't think there has ever been a court case concerning it. In the employment realm, racial preferences (the AA controversy aside) were made illegal for public policy as well as political reasons. But, as per my understanding, sexual performances would likely fall under an exception called a "BFOQ." This means the job description requires the services of a performer with a particular look or background. For example, a film production about MLK could legally audition only black male actors for the lead role. Likewise, say, a black male/white female porn series, marketed as such, is probably legal; whereas if the hiring was done for video operators or special effects people, it would be a blatant violation of the law. However, if a major studio like Vivid were to adopt a policy of excluding all black performers, they may get themselves into trouble. I would love to read the opinion on such a case.

Wow. The ignorance in these threads (on both "sides") is astounding.
This stuff isn't that difficult.
#1) Lots of people have racist tenancies. That's the world we live in, like it or not.
#2) Porn, while a business, still revolves around sex. (if it was just art, we'd call it "art" and it wouldn't have a special name) And in this country, people have the right to discriminate in their sexual partners.
#3) Discrimination, isn't inherently bad. I discriminate against particular restaurant chains because I don't like their food and their service. That doesn't make me a bad person, I'm just not willing to settle for food I don't like.
#4) If you really have your knickers in a twist over a girl not doing IR scenes, did it ever occur to you that she isn't the only one who is way too focused on skin color? Hmmmmm?
#5) A lot of porn "actors" aren't very good at acting. If they were, they'd probably be in Hollywood instead of The Valley. Since many of them aren't very convincing that means that if a performer is "faking" it with a performer she doesn't want to be with, it's going to be a pretty bad scene more often than not. Personally, I would rather watch good porn with people that are into each other, than politically correct porn where people are coerced into working with each other.
#6) If a performer is racist, calling them out on it isn't doing anyone any good. Finger pointing and accusations never helped anyone. If you want to try and educate people and make the world a better place, that's great and I applaud you. If you're just trying to push your own race based agenda (and coercing girls to fuck people of a different race that they don't want to fuck, clearly qualifies as a race based agenda) then you are part of the problem not the solution.
#7) As mentioned above, porn is a business. You will speak far louder with your wallet than you ever will with your mouth or your keyboard. If you don't like a performer or studio, don't buy their products. If you do buy their products despite all of your objections then in the company's eyes you show up on their radar as one thing: A Happy Customer. Conversely if you want to reward a performer or a studio for whatever reason, buy their stuff. It's that simple.
#8) People are guaranteed the opportunity for employment in this country. Not employment itself. It may very well be harder for a black performer to get a job in the porn industry. Turns out it is also harder for white guys to get a job in the NBA. You know why that is? Paying consumers decide.
9#) Some porn chick not wanting to have sex with black guys is NOT the problem. It is just a symptom. Griping about it on an internet forum won't fix anything, including the fact that you favorite actress won't do black guys on film. If there was a simple fix-all for racism I would love to hear it, but I can assure you that trolling an internet forum isn't going to get us any closer to "I have a dream."

^ I largely agree with you. Actually a second read through and I disagree with most of it.
1. Yeah this is true completely.
2. I think you're just running your mouth on your second point about how if porn was art we wouldn't have a name for it. Seems we have a name to separate ballet from tap and from dancing as a whole and I've never heard a painting called symphony. Whatever.
3. That's not even remotely on subject. But you're right discrimination isn't inherently bad. I'd even go the extra step and say racism is not inherently bad because every human being is racist (amongst other ists) we judge other human beings on their appearance, we have to in order to survive. There is a different way to react to say a white man with a swastika tattoo and an Indian.
4. Uh. . . I suppose if you want. For me there is an aestic to seeing IR but your point is noted.
5. Again I suppose. I've seen plenty of porn with girls just lying there I doubt it would be significantly different if the IR numbers increased.
6. Clearly this depends on what you view the problem as and you contradict yourself later. If I belive the problem is a stigma the most effective thing I can do is vote with my wallet. Thing is me all by myself oesn't matter. I need a following, the kind of which may be found on a board just like this one. I may not know that girl X doesn't do IR porn but if I did I might not buy things with her in it. Which is why I've suggested a number of times that somebody start up a website listing the girls who do IR (or who don't whichever way they chose to go) so it's quick and easy. Alas I don't care that much but someone must for how often this conversation creeps up.
7. Pretty much covered this.
8. Seeing the popularity of IR porn I'm not sure that the market is really deciding on this. Hell there are three major black male stars today and what two white men ever (Ron Jeremy and Peter North) aside from those two male talet is barely ever advertised. Note I mean in a true star capacity. The kind of people who are larger than the industry they are in. Mike Tyson, The Rock, Magic Johnson, Wayne Gretsky, Tiger Woods. Individuals so iconic in their fields that people who know little to nothing of that field have heard the name.
9. Maybe this format is unruly, but it is the right idea.

I was addressing a previous post by someone else that was trying to separate the "art" and the "sex" (my apologies for not quoting it... I didn't feel like dredging through 6 pages a second time to dig up qoutes) My point was that regardless of what you want to call it, the defining characteristic is sex. Separating the art from the sex accomplishes nothing.
Well, seeing as how the term has been used and misused several times in this thread, I thought I would clarify. Sorry if it doesn't meet your stringent requirements for on-topic posts.
You can claim "aesthetics" all you want, but it boils down to you, the viewer, focusing on the color of the performer's skin. But your cop-out has been noted.
Unless you are suggesting that forcing performers to be in scenes with people that they don't want to perform with would improve the situation, then my point still stands. Forcing people to perform with people they don't want to perform isn't going to help.
I'm not contradicting myself at all. If you want to be a smart consumer and vote with your wallet that is great. If you want to get online to convince like minded people to do the same thing that is great too. The important distinction is why you are doing it. If you happen to like IR porn and want to encourage it, then that's great. If you are turning it into a racial issue and focusing on all of the performers skin color instead of the movies they are making, then you may be a smart consumer, but you are an ignorant human being. The biggest problem concerning race in this country, if not the world, is the fact that people can't look past skin color. This goes for White, Black, Brown, Yellow, Red and every other color people. Regardless of how noble you think your intentions may be, if people continue to focus on the color of people's skin, racism will never die in this world.
Let me be clear. If you are beating the IR drum, you are simply a racist in denial. Just because you've found some porn chick to focus on who may be a little more racist than you, doesn't mean that you aren't a racist. Don't sweat it though. It's not the end of the world. We all have our racist moments (myself included) But once people realize that this incessant focus on skin color is the problem, not the solution, the world as a whole will be a lot happier place to be.
I don't know what becoming an icon in the field has to do with being employed. Are you suggesting that it makes a difference to Joe Schmoe on the street if he buys some random IR flick, or if he gets one with Mr. Marcus?
Well, I think I've already addressed my feelings on spreading racism (inadvertently or not) via online forums.

Sorry, but I don't see how speaking up about how people of your race are the ONLY ones singled out for exclusion makes you a racist. Fans that want to see a girl do IR are not against her performing with other races. They want her to be more INCLUSIVE and work with black performers. That is all. Honestly, they yearn for the day when a model card doesn't need to have "Interracial".
Most of your comments have been sensible, but not this one.

I addressed this before, but it might've been in the other thread. I think it was. The screening is the same for all, but since it doesn't eliminate the risk, it doesn't eliminate the racial aspects (a racial HIV/STD ranking of east Asianeducation>behavior thing is just speculation, designed to explain the facts. They may or may not be correct, but again, we're talking about the risk of HIV, not tiddlywinks.
Sure, but this goes back to the assumption mentioned above. Can you cite studies that control for SES and show that makes the risk or behavioral differentials in question disappear? (This isn't a rhetorical question)
I responded before to this, but I want to add that I haven't suggested throwing out information about an individual and relying solely on statistics. Who does? I'm just responding to the idea that statistics don't matter. And I think it's safe to say that PC is motivating that idea.
I'll take being un-PC and HIV-free over being PC and HIV-positive any day of the week.
