Wait till you see how I treat your mom... Which is to say that anyone who takes anything that happens on the internet personally is an idiot. And it'll probably take the death of most of the dinosaurs involved in it now, for that to happen in any meaningful way.
^^I have to agree. I have nothing against any single porn company. I don't think my interest as a consumer is served by being loyal. It appears that due to certain "must be present" methods and practices, All of the studios are shooting stuff that is pretty hard to distinguish one from the other. I'm sure there are exception. I haven't seen offering from every existing studio. If I were an operator of a studio I know it would be hard pill to swallow, but maybe it's time for a change.

In my opinion, and that is all that it is. Porn will not die, and I don't want it to, I LOVE what I do and I love sex. Listening to what everyone has to say and collaborating with talented hungry individuals that want this industry to thrive again, will make the companies do well. There seems to be a lack of inspiration. I come from a world of modeling, and so I saw creativity and people that wanted to push the envelope and try for better and best. Why does porn have to keep with the "same"? The "same" can evolve and become something better, or just perfected, you just have to have people that are willing to evolve too. There are way too many dirty thoughts and fantasies out there to have them all already filmed.... I have many ideas in my little noggin, here's to hoping you all like my evolution, and here's to porn living on! Lily LaBeau
I'd like to add my 2 cents and comment on the state of porn today. I don't think it will die but it has to change. Background: I am a secular Canadian-born citizen from Colombian parents, in my 20s, I do not consider myself white nor black but rather multi-racial and most importantly human. I am an engineer who hasn't move out from my small apartment I've had since university (so I have a good discretionary income). I am careful where I spend my money because I grew up somewhat poor. As a huge music fan and after being gouged in the 90s by the industry, I have no problems downloading free music torrent files online, however, I've realized that this has consequences and can lower music quality. So what I do now is I pay for my favorite artists, especially if they are little known, mega pop stars like Madonna don't get my money, too bad for them. With porn I do something similar, free porn is everywhere, tubes sites are limitless! The major porn sites don't get my money directly, I can pay for some specific content, Blue Ray DVDs or register on my favorite stars sites but I really have no problem not paying for content! I find the whole IR controversy stupid and offensive, its 2010! The idea of girls/women, who get paid to do pretty denigrating and disgusting things on camera, refusing actors of entire ethnic groups is a reflection of their own stupidity. The idea of respecting "moral choices" of self-proclaim pornstars whose dignity can be easily purchased for about $1500 per scene or $1200 per hour on the escort circuit, is an oxymoron. Some pornstars say they carefully select the actors they work with and personal preference prevent them from doing IR, personally I find that really hard to believe, logically it should mostly a question of money not race, but not everyone is graced with a logical mind it would seem. I think pornstars say things simply to cater to their fans/clientele. At the same time, fans who hound non-stop pornstars who don't do IR are silly, taking comments from pornstars as gospel is silly, getting angry based on their comments is even more silly; racists pornstars will never admit their racist ideology because it would hurt their bank account. I don't care what Alexis Texas, Nikki Benz or Diamond Foxx have to say, I'm much happier with the fact that I do not pay to watch their content. Some surprise me with their stand, to see how some stars defend their ethnic background is really funny to me as well, a good example is Isis Taylor, she's Peruvian/Israeli/Irish, not black, OK!!! LOOOL Who cares? It's irrelevant, what matters is if she spreads her legs or not and how she takes cocks. If she's pretty does not mean that Peruvians women on a whole are hot chicas... I have some suspicions about her so I'm very happy to add her to the list of pornstars whose content I never pay for! I'm sure racists can be found in porn, racists can be found in every place in the world, I don't waste my time to investigate each of them. Personally, I think the biggest problem in porn today is its move to the mainstream and its size. I consider myself a normal male with a good sex appetite but super rough anal, ass-to-mouth, messy facials, golden showers and so many other sex acts so common in porn are way too disgusting. If I have a daughter one day, I'd rather shoot myself than tell her that these things are ok, too many girls are willing to sell their souls away for a quick dollar without fully considering the consequences. By posting here, I clearly watch porn to satisfy my voyeurism and I do like sex (I'm not a Jesus freak) however porn would be in a better place if it shrank by a good 50%. Too many girls see porn as a logical career choice like being a nurse or an office worker; too many call themselves porn "stars". Also I don't see much difference between prostitution, escort and porn, in the end it's someone getting paid or paying for sex. Porn and escorts having a richer clientele doesn't legitimize much in my book but I don't hate them nor do I hate prostitutes for that matter. I have traveled a lot in my life, I have met people in so many countries, experienced so many cultures that I can say with certitude that no one person can ever represent an entire country. Nikki Benz is Ukrainian and seemingly racist and yet I've met a group of Ukrainians in South Africa and they were very cool with Africans. I've been to Peru 3 times now, and I have not met anyone ashamed of having black ancestors, Peru has a good number of black people like many latinamerican countries and is not a Japanese mostly country. In fact, white latinos in those countries are proud of the important culture blacks add to their countries so I don't understand why Isis Taylor is making such a big deal with IR especially when her husband is biracial. Dominicans unfortunately do have major issues even sham with dark skin, black people, what Sami Sosa did to his skin is a good example. I think the huge controversy in porn about IR is mostly centered in the USA because Americans are really an insular people. I think it's really funny that in Europe, where white people are really from, IR is not a big deal whereas in the USA where most people have mixed DNA heritage it is such a big deal.. If Americans were more aware of the rest of the world and the fact that the USA is not the center of the universe would do a great deal in solving their problems. If someone had traveled and personally seen the beauty and great people found in Africa, Latin America and Asia they would not be racist but by living in gated communities surround by people who look just like you and think like you, one would be more susceptible of being racist and xenophobic. So that was my 2 cents, a long text for a nuanced opinion, porn must evolve, downgrade and change or risk imploding... No disrespect to Stormy Daniels but the body can only take so much and after so many years of performing, she has done all that can be done already 2 or 3 times over.. Peace out! Colombian-Canuck
Did you even read what I wrote? I'm not another IR obsessed, I don't care much for the whole controversy. I wrote "At the same time, fans who hound non-stop pornstars who don't do IR are silly, taking comments from pornstars as gospel is silly, getting angry based on their comments is even more silly" If fans were all satisfied with porn today it would not be in a major downturn. You're cherry picking a line to serve your own purpose... Colombia-Canuck

^ It means you freely admitted to stealing artists' content. There is no difference between downloading songs from a torrent site and stuffing a couple CDs in your pocket at Best Buy and making a run for the exit. However, having read your post, please know Nikki Benz is not racist. She's discussed potential future IR plans extensively on this site, even polling fans to see what male talent they'd like to see her work with. That's it, I just wanted to refute the untrue allegation. I'm done. I'm fascinated by some of the tenuous and bizarre theories of genetic memory that race obsessives espouse, if only because it reveals their thinking to be based in the same concepts of race they insist they're railing against. I'm done.

What RTM really means is that you're wasting your 'breath' C-C... Especially if you're trying to address any even reasonably well thought out, cogent content at him. He's just not equipped to process anything of that ilk. He can't even wrap his head around the fact that people in other countries are not required to follow his countries laws.... Nor can he understand that there is PLENTY of difference between file-sharing and shop-lifting. Shop-lifting depletes stock. File sharing for the most part doesn't take anything away from anyone that they were going to get anyway, and it also doesn't prevent anyone from getting something they might have wanted. Your model of inter is very similar to mine. A model that causes no one a single lick of harm.
I take your point, but even if it doesn't change, or evolve, it will never go away... someone will always be making movies of people fucking, as long as there are movies. It also seems to me that the porn industry gene pool could maybe use a healthy dose of chlorine though... maybe a serious porn recession (It's a billions of dollars a year industry in the USA alone) would do it some good, like Yellowstone needs to burn away the crap from time to time so that the forest can survive.
Hey, New Romancer, the unauthorized copying or distribution of copyrighted material, whether for profit or for personal use, is illegal under Canada's Copyright Act.
I never claimed to not be stealing music artists content... When I downloaded Usher's last album online I felt no shame. I guess the only difference between BitTorrent and stealing at Best Buy is that I'm more likely to get caught by the police if I do it at Best Buy. I have no problem watching tubes porn sites either but I do support (with my money) Andy San Dimas, Sadie West, Bree Olson for example because they make hot videos and don't bitch about silly things.. Esperanza Gomes needs more work! I did not know that Nikki Benz is appearing to change her mind, I'm sure she will make a HUGE amount of money by doing an IR film, since many people want to see it and it will not hurt her career. I would be most happy if the whole IR discussion was needless and pornstars would fuck actors as contracts come their way regardless of silly ethnic background issues. If Ron Jeremy can still fuck pornstars, the male actor appearance should not be an issue! The only exception is if the dick was to big for the girl and she'd get hurt.. LOOL That's why I think Justin Long is wrong for not doing IR anymore. Too many people in porn, low quality videos and fans not satisfied has made the porn industry go into deep decline.. I'd like to see more big movies like Pirates in HD, I'd pay for that! I won't pay for cheap porn ever. Colombian-Canuck
I have never heard of any prosecution attempt in Canada, in fact, Canada has a bad reputation with regards copyrights. As of today, I have no fear of being caught downloading.

Maybe you aughta read the Copyright Act... Under “fair dealing” I can download anything I want for the purposes of "private study or research, or for criticism, review or news reporting."
Yeah, because "jerking off" and "private study or research, or for criticism, review or news reporting" are the same thing... Justify the theft any way makes you feel less guilty about it, but if you thought it wasn't a big deal, you wouldn't need to keep trying to find ways to justify it. Grrrr... Never mind.. Let me just leave myself a reminder... [Image not found DB]

Sorry... but you brought up the CCA... All I did was answer you... If you don't like the answer, maybe you shouldn't have asked. Again, I sleep soundly at night knowing that my downloading isn't hurting anyone... and knowing that the cries of those who try to claim it is are apparently baseless, or at the very least, biased or ill-informed.

Sorry, but the onus is on the copyright holder to prove, beyond doubt, that I (or filesharing) has caused them harm... They can't do that. What they want to try attribute to filesharing is just as (or more) likely caused by a lousy economy in general, a glut of material, a dearth of quality, onerous distribution methods, or other factors. The available data more seems to suggest that filesharing might help more than it hinders. So, IF "Porn" is a dying industry (And I see NO evidence that it is) the people who really want to keep it alive had better find another scapegoat other than filesharing. At the very least, Filesharing is never going to go away. There will NEVER be a way to stop someone who wants to get something off the internet for free... Again, if one is concerned about any supposed downturn in the porn industry, one needs to fight the battles one is capable of winning. Improve distribution methods and product quality... Trying to stop internet filesharing is trying to bail the ocean with a sieve. Edited by - NewRomancer on 5/14/2010 8:28:14 AM
No, from what I understand your hypothesis is that filesharing doesn't hurt or cost the industry at all. You keep repeating it ad nauseum in this thread. If your hypothesis is valid, you should be able to provide backup proof. I learned that way back in high school when we had to write papers supporting either side of an argument. You keep asking for proof from the other side yet when it comes to your definitive statement, that there is no harm, you repeatedly refuse to offer proof. When industry insiders say it is causing a harm in sales, you refuse that requiring full financial disclosures only. You say it is on the other side to provide all proof and that you won't, meaning that your statement is unprovable and flawed. Then again, not even being an industry insider, I can offer proof that filesharing has hurt the adult industry financially. An ex-friend of mine used to rent and occasionally purchase adult titles. After filesharing became available and he got a broadband connection, he stopped renting and purchasing titles stating why should he pay for what he can now get for free. He was a paying customer, who when it became available to him stole instead. His actions are loss. Proof of harm right there. And also a part of why you can't prove your hypothesis, because it is wrong. I'm sure that filesharing isn't the only aspect leading to the financial issues going on now, however, any statements that it isn't a part of the problem is an out and out lie. Sorry.

The porn industry has to change big time, it is too blotted and even arrogant. It needs to deliver what fans really want also it should shrink and concentrate on the real pornstars, nowadays anyone is a star after they shoot a couple videos! If fans are really pushing "Girl X" to do something (anal, IR or something) but she says no, she has the right to say no, but now fans can decide not buy her videos, to me it is perfectly logical. Deliver what fans really want! LOOL I have to agree with pretty much the majority and against NewRomancer (sorry) about the impact for file sharing, I do believe that BitTorrent is hurting the music industry, the porn industry and even the movie industry to a lesser extend. I see it as a form of protest, crap will not rewarded, even if some studies show that people who buy music also download.. But NewRomancer raised several good reasons why people download for free, industry should understand those reasons. The way the music biz has adapted by allowing single track purchases instead of forcing to buy an entire album, increased quality and lowering the costs of music will allow it to survive. However from on only the good artists will make it big as it should be. If people who can afford to buy porn choose not to do so it's for many reasons, yes free is always better but also cheap and repetitive porn is not helping either. Pornstars acting like drama queens, bitching left and right is also a turn off for me, porn is certainly not an art form. A good pornstar will be able to preform sex with any male or female actor because she is that good, if she can't handle an established actor it is because she's weak. Pornstars need to relax and realize their place in the world, they are NOT feeding the poor or achieving world peace. I like Sasha Grey, she assumes her role well. The way pornstars are so readily available to the public has taken away the fantasy aspect for me. Porn used to be, at first, hot girls I'd like to fuck but couldn't but now every girl escorts and dances; while it is not a big deal for me, I don't fantasize about strippers much. Only when the porn industry will be on the brink of collapse will it really change, that day is not far off. Colombian-Canuck

There may be a lot of porn being produced, but it is mostly garbage. The choices are extremely limited because their is no real competition among these so called competing companies. They are parts of a machine that do what they do, but remain united in their objectives. It is a clique of ever consolidating power that use the same camera operators and crew on a continuous basis. There is no real difference between Devil's Films or Sineplex. There's no difference between Hustler or Red Light District. It's an interchangeable assembly of participants that all play their part. Often, I will download videos that are so blatant in their apathy, I purposely seed to be a dick. Two negatives equal a positive.
Allow me to seed this, please. (Emphasis mine.) [ invalid url ] NEW YORK — In a ruling that could tip the scales against companies that distribute and market file-sharing software, a federal judge has ruled that LimeWire is liable for committing and inducing infringement and engaging in unfair competition. U.S. District Judge Kimba Wood agreed with 13 plaintiff record companies that LimeWire's parent LimeWire LLC and its founder Mark Gorton didn't offer any supervisory control with their peer-to-peer software that mostly distributes music, as well a well-stocked inventory of pirated porn. On Tuesday, she granted summary judgment to the labels. "There is substantial evidence that LimeWire had the right and ability to limit the use of its product for infringing purposes, including by implementing filtering, denying access and supervising and regulating users," Wood said. "LimeWire has not exercised any meaningful supervisory control over LimeWire users’ infringing activity, or provided a legitimate reason for its failure to do so." Wood's ruling was a landmark one for the plaintiffs, which included Arista Records, Atlantic Recording Corp., BMG Music, Capitol Records Inc., Elektra Entertainment Group Inc., Interscope Records, Laface Records, Motown Record Co., Priority Records, Sony BMG Music Entertainment UMG Recordings, Virgin Records America Inc. and Warner Bros Records Inc. In the case, the labels hired Dr. Richard Waterman, a statistics professor at Penn's Wharton School, who looked at a random sample of 1,800 LimeWire files and concluded that 93 percent were copyrighted and unlikely to be licensed for download through LimeWire. "Dr. Waterman next logged the number of times LimeWire users sought to download each of the files in the sample," Wood said in her ruling. "Based on these results, Dr. Waterman estimated that 98.8 percent of the files requested for download through LimeWire are copyright protected or highly likely copyright protected, and thus not authorized for free distribution." Wood's 59-page decision primarily was based on a unanimous U.S. Supreme Court ruling involving file-sharing service Grokster. In the 2005 decision, the court ruled that entities that distribute a device with the object of promoting its use for copyright infringement, "as shown by clear expression or other affirmative steps," is liable for third-party infringement, even if the device is also used lawfully. LimeWire created its service in 2000, six years prior to the record companies suit. The company at one point describes itself as the world's most popular peer-to-peer file-sharing service, with more than 50 million monthly users. LimeWire issued a statement on Wednesday after analyzing the ruling. "LimeWire strongly opposes the court’s recent decision," the company said in a statement. "LimeWire remains committed to developing innovative products and services for the end-user and to working with the entire music industry, including the major labels, to achieve this mission. Wood set a June 1 conference at U.S. District Court in New York for further proceedings. The four largest music labels are considering whether to seek an injunction prior to a status conference Wood scheduled for June 1. If that happens, LimeWire may have little room to maneuver and the company could be forced to close shop within weeks.
+1 lol its not dying. despite all the piracy when it comes to file sharing, the internet only continues to make the porn industry grow. file sharing might take away some of the profit but i am sure all the porn companys agree that the positives of the net far out way the negatives and the dark days of porn was back when there was no internet.
Brandon Iron, it obvious that LimeWire facilitates illegal music transfers, I'd like to welcome this federal judge into the 21th century! As with Napster, if the feds in the USA shut one system down another will come up... I'm not worried. On a personal note, American federal judges do not jurisdiction outside the borders the United States. LOOL Copyright infringement is mainly a North American and European affair, the rest of the world realize that they have to live with it. Colombian-Canuck

Whether or not torrent sites live or die, the industry is keeping it barely alive on purpose. The hot shit is compartmentalized. The homo-erotic, degrading, and inflammatory shit is pushed. It's just the way it's got to be....A New World Order. ...and I am laughing out loud.

Not at all... I've said that for one, I don't believe that there has been any downturn in the industry... No one has provided reputable evidence that there is. Assuming that there is any downturn, there is NO evidence that it's because of filesharing any more than any other factors that might contribute to the downturn (if it exists at all)... no one has been able to demonstrate that either... So I remain unconvinced.
I won't say mostly, but I find very little I will spend my money on.
I am disappointe din the Limewire decision as Limewire is simple peer-to-peer technology and I do not believe they should have to police it. However, I understand that piracy is severely cutting into the profits of pornographers, so i am not saying the issue is a simple one.

I wouldn't read too much into the Limewire decision. Limewire is largely an anachronism based on a 10 year old file sharing platform – Gnutella. Simply put, I don't know anyone who shares on Limewire anymore. With regards to pornography, the 2 most dominant ways to share are one-click file hosting sites (Rapidshare, Hotfile, Megaupload, Depositfiles etc) and tubesites. Does filesharing affect the creative industries? I would say the answer is a resounding yes. I provide piracy protection (removal from one click file hosting services, torrents etc) for a number of IFPI record label clients', smaller labels and a couple of pornographers. They simply wouldn't collectively employ my services if it didn't have a positive outcome for their businesses. The file sharing issue is even more acute for porn. For instance, even in today's more liberal society, an extensive porn collection is not something that most individuals would freely admit to or proudly display in the living room for all to see. Most of the people I know who paid for porn in the past, did it because there were simply no other means of obtaining hard-core pornography (particularly for free!). In fact, some of them used to pay up to £500 per year in order to get their porn fix. Now they don't have to pay at all because a lot of it is freely available on one-click file hosting services like Rapidshare et al. Moreover, they don't have to physical store porn where girlfriends, wives & parents could potentially find it. Apart from a coterie of dedicated fans, very few casual porn viewers have any kind of allegiance to studios, directors, websites and even actresses – the average porn watcher is just looking for titles/scenes they can masturbate to in the comfort/privacy of their own bedroom. If the loyalty isn't there in the first place, they're unlikely to purchase a DVD/Scene as a consequence of watching that scene for free. It's probably thus fair to that rampant file sharing is pernicious to the porn industry. Their is no value not to your posts or threads- just garbage man. You see there is a difference, a guy that buys and a guy that steals- you cant appreciate value because all is stolen "FREE". There are assholes like you ruining the business, so why do you think companies consolidate their productions? because motherfuckers like you- "SEED" on purpose for something you never even paid for, because your pissed your jobless and cant afford a chick, so you spend your time complaining about nothing except a reflection of your loser life- reflected on what others try to achieve from losses to pirating. At least your honest about being a cheap loser that helps fuck the industry up more- hope someone post your IP- and cracks your jack! c

Of course d/l sites etc are dropping sales of porn. I try to buy the odd DVD, when I have spare cash, motivation etc. But it is now just a pandora's box. There are so many files out there, than can never be put back. The internet is great, but it has ruined / is ruining a few industries. Music, Second Hand shops, Travel shops, Computer Shops, Newspapers and Magazines. My solution is a quick Tank you button for each female porn star or studio or male actor you like, after your download. Give them a quick Paypal 50 cents. (Needs the banking industry to "come" up with quick efficient Micro Payments) I know I would do that and I am sure many others would. Edited by - Digmen1 on 5/15/2010 3:34:04 PM

I detect some anger in your post. I tell you what. Why don't you change the policy from never producing anything worth a shit to never "ever" producing anything worth a shit. I'm conditioned to it and very far from pissed, it's actually hilarious. By the way, I've got a suitcase full of Sineplex and Devil's Films DVDs that are very much paid for from a job. Before your company hired the pathetic talent (aside from Kid Jamaica) that saturates it now, I was a high paying consumer and could easily drop a couple Benjamins at any time, without blinking. It's obvious from screens that almost all of your stuff is the same as ever and not worth stealing. Go to the edit link I provided on my profile and check out one of the women I can't afford, you and your "buddies" might learn something about how to capture a scene. I don't have to buy my women. Relax, don't do it, when you wanna cum.
Eh, even business people can be prone to the occasional flirt with (the modern equivalent of) witchcraft. They may be convinced it has a positive effect on their business; whether it actually does is a dicey question, and with all due respect somebody offering this as a commercial service is probably the last person whose statements I would take at face value on this.
Wow, angry Americans! LOOOL You guys are so funny, when someone says something you don't agree with you guys go straight to name calling and insulting your opponent. So weak! Your President says its not normal for world superpower to have 50 millions without proper health-care, well he must be BOTH a Nazi and a Communist (and a grandmother killer too) a diametrically contradictory position seeing how Communist Russia invaded and was a major reason for the destruction of Nazi Germany. Nazis hate all non-white people, how funny would it be to have a Black Nazi - he would have to hate himself! When arguments supporting your claims are scarce or unconvincing, out come the insults! In a country where people don't care for their neighbors it is easy to not care for people dying needlessly.. Colombian-Canucks
Hey Douchebag, I'm a Canadian proud to be living in the land of the free instead of the land of the free lunch at taxpayer expense, and when you're talking about destroying a persons livelihood, they're likely to get angry. Maybe when the porn business breathes it's last breath and I can't make a living, I'll move back to Canada, sign up for welfare and move next door to you. Not quite sure what you get out of insulting Americans except the same false sense of importance that every internet troll thrives on.
The first thing you have to say is Douchebag, how very Canadian of you. If you do lose your job and move to Canada to collect welfare, no one will accuse you of "destroying their livelihood". If fact, if you do move to Canada than you will contradict yourself by moving to the system you despise so. Lucky for you that option is open to you! LOOOL Go ahead get mad, call me Nazi/Commie or whatever, I'm secure enough with myself to handle your silly name calling. Colombian-Canuck

First of all, the guy who insulted me is probably European, he's just a spokesman for a company who sucks at filming pretty white slaves. Second, If you think the Nazis lost the war, you obviously believe everything in the movie they created. Obama is their puppet, nothing more. Third point, labeling someone a troll is something that is totally fucking "pussy". If you can't speak the simple truth, don't go pulling the "troll" card. It's such a cop out. By the way, I truly love all of you, even if your dickheads. I am an Earthling. Pull the panties out of your ass-cracks and make some decent porn so I can quit fucking you back and start buying blu-ray discs. I hear they're pretty sweet.
I have no beef with you, in a free society you are free to do as you wish, more power to you, its up to the industry to reach you and deliver content you want it to produce not what an insular director/owner thinks is what's good for us. I mostly buy BR dics of serious productions as well, cheap porn I don't buy. Colombian-Canuck
