I did a search for this, and nothing came up...
Most other boards I participate in have a thread devoted to recently seen flicks -- I figured The Feature Side could use one so we can get little reviews of features -- new, old, and otherwise. People around here always seem up for suggestions, and sometimes it feels like no good new features are being made, so this might be a good way of quickly giving a thumbs up/down/middling.
The most recent features I saw were actually re-viewings of a couple of early-80s classics: Hot Rackets and Taboo II. Both great films, and both have that hard-to-capture mixture of being thought-provoking, compelling, sexy, and frivolous.
I hope this thread takes off...

Great idea, GGG. I have a huge stash of classics that I will be watching in alphabetical order to catch up on titles that have been mentioned in this forum.
I'll start with Chuck Vincent's BAD PENNY (1978) with Samantha Fox. It's one of those New York set flicks that's more than a bit silly but worth seeing for Sam in a number of scenes. Beware of Molly Malone as an evil auntie, who ends up like Wiley Coyote by the finale. Sam's scene with a grungy work guy is the hottest as she gets things going by having him put his dirty paws all over her shoulders and white dress---!!! 1/2

Finally had time to finish PT's Pervert. Fantastic movie and easily the best feature I've seen in a long time. Review should be showing up soon...

I loved the same scene with Samantha as well.
Recently rewatched Oriental Techniques in Pain and Pleasure, a sleazy and goofy S&M film by Phil Prince from the early 80s. It features Annie Sprinkle, George Payne (relatively minor role) and the amazing Mistress Candice. There's barely any real narrative and some tasteless, less than convincing and misogynistic 'rape' scenes but the film seems to reserve it's most extreme 'punishment' for the men: Annie is 'forced' to anally fist her 'brother' and then inserts the biggest dildo I've ever seen (it outdoes anything in a Belladonna video) up this fellows ass as well. Not something you see everyday. Strangely enough she also licks her 'brothers' balls at the same time!
This is then followed by an extended dom scene with Mistress Candice and Alan Adrian. Lots of cock slapping and clothepins to the balls in this scene, topping if all off with an extended golden shower by Candice onto Adrian. Kinky as all get out.

^ I guess I'll be purchasing that one.
Oh, and good to hear a perspective on PT's new stuff. I want to see Pervert. I will be looking for the full review AK.

The other day, I watched BEYOND DESIRE (1986) with Vanessa Del Rio getting top billing. She has a scene with this nebbish fellow and it seems tagged onto this thinly plotted tale of John Leslie taking over the day-to-day operations of a brothel that's mostly played for chuckles. It's really a John Leslie starring vehicle in just about every sense. Even his pooch gets a cameo. Great supporting cast with Seka looking mighty fine in her scene---!!! 1/2

I want to concur with Astro.
I recently watch Pervert myself and was just blown away. I was sorry it had been released after the nominations period though there is always next year.

Georgia Peach (1976) apparently aka Peach Fuzz, but the title on my copy is clearly Georgia Peach. The review of this up on imdb is for a completely different film by the way, as the plot description in no way matches the actual film.
A decent little melodrama from Cecil Howard (shot by Anna Riva, aka Roberta Findley), it gets by on period charm and the performers, as the script is pretty threadbare.
Jefferey Hurst, who also did some early Chuck Vincent films and is a pretty good comedic lead in the Harry Reems mode, is a political science student (!) who falls for his professor's (played by a non-psycho Zebedy Colt) mistress (Jean Dalton) aka Georgia Peach or Mishou. To get nearer to her he dates the professor's daughter (the very cute and natural Hope Stockton) who seduces him by asking him after his corny joke if 'I can suck your cock.'
The whole film is told in flashback as Hurst brags to his buddy Mark Ubell (actually Chuck Vincent himself apparently!). There's a pretty good twist at the end, although it could have been set up better. A nice bathtub masturbation scene by Dalton is the erotic highlight imo. There is only one completely unmotivated sex scene that brings the film to a screeching halt before the pay-off of the end, which is pretty good by porn feature standards.
The most absurd scene is when Dalton tells a story (shown in surreal flashback) to Stockton about being 'raped' by three farm boys when she was a girl, of course she ended up enjoying it. Stockton's delivery of the line after the story 'I always though rape would be disturbing and unpleasant' is inadvertently funny as it points up the stupidity of the very idea of 'enjoying' being raped. It's as if Howard and company knew how stupid this porn trope of the era was but still had to play to it for the raincoaters. Of course, the lesbian scene that soon follows has to have Dalton declaring 'Of course I would prefer being with a guy if one was around' just before she seduces Stockton.

It's too bad Stockton and Dalton didn't go on to make many more films past the late 70s.

Happy Birthday, Annette Haven!
I watched THE BLONDE (1980) with Annette donning a blonde wig to a play an actress approaching a movie producer making a bio-pic of a deceased blonde bombshell named Valerie. The actress looks like Valerie so she and her agent show up where the producer is scouting locations for the film. A solid premise but the follow-through is disappointing. At the center is a terrific seduction and sex scene with Brooke West and David Morris in the hotel kitchen area. Annette hooks up with Mai Lin then a guy for the finale---!!!

I started watching Hot Cookies but the quality of the TVX dvd is so appalling, Mr. GGG made me turn it off. It was making him dizzy.
Then, I started watching the latest Digital Playground blockbuster Body Heat, thinking it would be silly fun. It was pretty dead serious -- not bad, but I'll save it for an early afternoon watch. There is a frankly hysterical scene of bomb defusing a la Hurt Locker featuring Manuel Ferrara -- I haven't seen the whole movie, but I feel confident recommending it just to see this scene. In general, the whole enterprise seemed promising. Kayden was acting everyone off the screen as usual.
So...I haven't seen an entire feature in a while. Hopefully that will change soon -- I have a stack of dvds including The Twilight Zone parody and Danish Pastries.

"Bad Penny" is very early Samantha and sets the tone for the rest of her fabulous career.
In it she's both scheming and innocent and you know she's going to get banged hard by the end of a scene -- you're just not sure how she's going to get there.
Particularly of note -- not that it's shot all that well -- is the foxen one crawling beneath a table at a dinner party of four sexual-orientation-questionable fops and taking all of their cocks in her mouth.
A star was porn in that instant.

I had a big group of friends over for a party a few weeks back and played them just that scene. Everyone thought it was hilarious.
It is a good movie though in terms of the sex - every scene was solid (although I would have thought they could have been more inventive in the lesbian orgy in a fire station - no use of axe handles or hose nozzles ).

Recently saw The Human Sexipede, which apparently is a parody. I thought it was ok. Maybe just a little too over-the-top for me. I mean I usually like Campy fun, but I didn't quite like it as much as I thought I would. Hot threesome featuring Sunny Lane and our own Keni Styles though.
Really doesn't appear to be that many features being made these days outside of parodies. Great to see Paul Thomas back at it though.

I have also noticed that features that are not really parodies, or even necessarily linked to a specific source material (basically original scripts or interpretations), have "A Parody!" slapped on the cover as a marketing strategy. It's annoying.

Do you have the VXP DVD of Danish Pastries or the original Danish language release under I Jomfruens Tegn? If you have the former, it's dubbed into Engligh and I'd recommend picking up this DVD for the original language track: http://www.tlavideo.com/cult-in-the-sign-of-the-virgin/p-280538-7

^ Predictably, I have the VXP version, and I watched it last night. No hardcore...was not aware of that. Oh well, for a softcore flick I enjoyed it. And the dubbing was way better than most dubbed films I've seen. Me and Mr. GGG actually talked a good bit about the art of the dubber/voice artist. Nevertheless, of course I would prefer the original version.
Favourite things: face-"rape" by grapes and red wine (actually kinda brutal and shocking); hamsters standing in for mice, and a guinea pig standing in for a rat. I know my rodents and cavies, and they ain't fooling me.
Oh, and I found it a bit odd that the dvd blurb was an entirely lifted segment of prose from Robert Rimmer's review of the film. Is that something you're supposed to credit?

I liked PERVERT, too, except that the therapist stuff (with Samantha Ryan) veers off in different directions at too quick a clip for the finale of the second part. (It's in two parts---one clocks in at 45 minutes, the other at 55 minutes) Her hooking up with Anthony Rosano in the back of the bar is almost treated as an afterthought.

I watched Antonio Passolini's Raw. It was ok. The sex was kinda awkward and too frequent, but it wasn't a disaster.
I also watched the Jack Wrangler starrer Heavy Equipment (1977), originally 3D (and you can still see the double lines in the 3D segments, which is more fun than annoying). A dweeb wants to be a hunk, and in a Jekyll and Hyde type transformation, drinks a potion and turns into Jack Wrangler. He proceeds to go around fucking a bunch of people (including Al Parker). I loved this film. It was amazing.

Based on a recent write up by GG I (re)watched EASY by Anthony Spinelli, starring the amazing Jessie St James with appearances by Richard Pacheco and Georgina Spelvin (great here) and Desiree Cousteau. Very memorable, the opening titles with no music gives off the vibe of a 70s independent feature.
There are a few ambiguous scenes of sexual violence and forced sex in this film, and the film is an odd mixture of discontent (aka. Linda William's 'bad sex') and more positive sex scenes, but few other features are as effective in communicating a range of emotions through several different sexual scenes as you see here. The range of views about what the film is about in imdb reviews suggests just how much of an ink blot this film really is for the viewer. Myself, I'm not quite sure what the film is 'saying' (it's attitude to sexual 'liberation' seems much more conflicted than usual in a xxx flick) but the very fact that you have a xxx film trying to say anything at all suggests just how ambitious Spinelli was at this point and time.

Recently saw Tru: An XXX Parody (True Blood Parody). I thought it was pretty good. Gotta say though, some of the makeup and wigs used were pretty bad. Don't know if it was intentional, but they were probably better off without them. Still a good flick though.
Overall, it's worth checking out.

Just finished Body Heat.
Luckily I had GGG's warning about it not being what I was at first expecting from Robby. Normally his movies are really fun but this one while it had it's moments was a serious drama all the way through.
The bomb scene was pretty funny. I wonder if there were some time constraints there. Robby is usually a perfectionist and that scene played out like he was pressed for time.
Kayden really showed herself as an actress here and while the material was serious Jesse and Riley's easy going, funny attitudes came through.
As weird as it sounds I think the G-G scene with all the DP Contract stars to close out the movie was probably the weakest. I liked the set-up and all but it just seemed out of place to me. The editing and the heat in it never seemed to flow or catch on. It was just a mish-mash of hardcore images of women having sex on the back end of the fire truck. Why they did not use the cab, top, ladder, etc I don't know.
Though some of Robby's trade mark humor did shine through in points. Did anyone else notice who the "firefighter" was who Jesse complained had beat her out for the calendar last year?
...Tera Patrick.

Just finished Batfxxx.
Interesting, at first I was a little put off with Nick Mannings acting but once he got into character of "The Bat" he did a fairly decent job.
Unfortunately I think this one lost some points with me because just about all the sex scenes were orgies. There was Nick Manning's 3-way to start things off and then Madelyn Marie's 4 way but other then that large groups.
So if you aren't into group sex this may not be for you.
Plus they also made the (in my book) cardinal sin that a lot of Hollywood studios do with Super-Hero movies.
They tried to put too many characters into one title:
The Bat
Robina
Katwoman
Jokker
Poison Ivy
Two-Face
Batwoman
If you like the genre (superheros) and like group sex scenes then this might be your movie.

^ I'm still not sure if I can get down with that. Doesn't sound awful from your description though.
Last night I watched two films: Sexcapades (Henri Pachard, 1983) and Games Women Play (Chuck Vincent, 1981).
Sexcapades was frankly amazing. The tone of this film is impressive, and this might be the most integrated sex/narrative film I've ever seen. Eric Edwards does a really impressive job in the lead role, and there was a ton of visual, verbal, psychological stuff to get your teeth into -- I loved it!!
Games Women Play was decent -- probably not fair to watch it after Sexcapades, but I couldn't wait. Jack Wrangler was adorable as usual (even though he kinda played a baddie), and his scene with Merle Michaels where he ends up sobbing was pretty intense. Good stuff, but not the best. (Probably still head and shoulders above many of the films out there though).

Sexcapades definitely one of the late Henri Pachard's (R.I.P.) crowning achievements he had quite few of them. His films were always a lot of fun to watch.
Gore Gore Girl, what did think of the office scene between Sharon Kane and Lee Carrol?
In my opinion it's second only to the scene between Jesie St.James and Geogina Spelvin in Anthony Spinelli's (R.I.P.) Easy as far as girl/girl scenes go.
Eric Edwards,I could go on forever and tell you why he's so great. At the top of the list he was a favorite of Cecil Howard my all time favorite director and he cast Eric quite often in the lead role and he would always turn in an excellent performance both acting wise and sexually as well.As is Cecil Howard's last directing project for his company Command Video was a 4 part shot on video and told in 4 parts called The Last X-Rated Movie.Eric Edwards was cast in lead and definitely one of the very few actors that could have pulled this off and hold your interest at the very same time.It was told by using a lot flashback and repeated itself quite often which for the story was necessary. Also considering it was a 4 part series it had a rather small cast.Eric Edwards was absolutely brilliant here and nobody could have done a better job.I would one tape after the other just to see the final outcome.
Great Sexpectations the follow up to Sexcapades is as good to some even better.
A definite must see I own it on VHS.
My first time viewing this was in 1987 at the Pussycat Theater in Santa Monica California it was part of a double feature it played along side Taboo 4 another film I own on VHS.

I just rewatched TALK DIRTY TO ME for the first time in a few years and found that it was a hell of a lot better than I remembered it being. Although not the masterpiece it's often referred to as, it's a well acted, well photographed, and very well directed little drama with comedic undertones.
Although not as good (or as heavy) as its sequel, NOTHING TO HIDE, Spinelli continues to prove he's one of the finest actor's directors to ever work in XXX.

On the subject of Georgina Spelvin g/g scenes, I would also mention her truly beautful scene with Barbara Bourbon in Private Afternoons of Pamela Mann. In fact, I can't think of another performer besides Spelvin whose sex scenes I'd describe so often as being beautiful. What an erotic treasure she was!
More on topic, I recently watched Expose Me Lovely, previously cited by other posters. I had read some lukewarm comments on it before but thought it deserved better than that. Its one downside: Ras Kean had to carry the show as he was the narrator and was in nearly every sex scene. Unfortunately, I felt his acting wasn't quite good enough to completely pull it off. However, the movie had an interesting and complex (if not especially original) story, a wonderfully gritty, atmospheric look and feel, and very good sex scenes. I especially loved the touching scene with Kean and Jennifer Welles as his ex-wife, plus a great bit of wild sex with Jody Maxwell, and a lovely, erotic scene with ... I forget her name, but the woman who hired Kean to find her brother.

Sexcapades is one of my favourites and the best Pachard I've seen so far. I also agree with alphadachs about the g/g in Pamela Mann, that is the highlight scene in that film, can't wait for the upcoming re-releases of these Metzger titles!

GREAT SEXPECTATIONS
A porno film about making a porno film, and an exceptional one at that.
Henri Pachard was in that next group of directors behind Cecil Howard who knew how to spend money in procuring great talent both on-camera and off. This is a gorgeous picture to look at -- and not just because of the likes of Kelly Nichols and Honey Wilder captivating the camera.
This is Kelly's show and you see both the entire range of her eroticism and her beauty in this movie. Whether radiating sophistication and elegance or earthiness, Kelly reminds you that there was a time when X-rated movies were this close to gaining widespread acceptance. If movies like this were still made today, they just might have been able to crossover. Heck if Chloe Sevigny can give a blow job, Chelsea Blake could have aroused more than just raging hard-ons in the movie-critic community.
Kelly and Chelsea reprise their incredible chemistry together which also could be seen in "Jailhouse Girls" from the same year. Kelly has just been fucked on the soundstage with her husband Eric Edwards calling the shots. When Chelsea drops in on their home a few hours later, Kelly turns the tables and orders the submissive Chelsea to drop down on her knees and suck her husband's cock.
Whether Kelly is doing this to maintain the marriage's equillibrium or simply to satisfy her own kinky desires is open for interpretation, but it isn't long before her clothes are off and she's working over her pussy on the sofa as Chelsea engulfs her husband's cock.
As jaw-dropping as Kelly looks in a black crewneck sweater or with a veil and a chic hat (two earlier looks in the movie), she demonstrates that she also doesn't wear it well. Her tits -- always a major part of her appeal -- look absolutely huge as she spreads her legs and sinks into the leather sofa, her hand furiously mining for pussy juice.
Chelsea, it seems, likes a little quim chaser after wolfing down cock and crawls between Kelly's legs. Kelly makes her eat her pussy just the way she likes it and as a movie star she is quite the imperious bitch. Chelsea is all too happy to oblige this Venus' fur and gets to enjoy Eric's cock in her ass at the same time.
When they've all gotten off Kelly sneers at the submissive Chelsea dismissively. And talk about chic, Kelly wraps her sweater across her shoulders and around her neck. Very preppy! Except that her tits are still swinging freely beneath this Waspy wardrobe cliche!
The movie also features the lovely Honey Wilder who gets her share of cock and pussy as well.
This is an erotic masterpiece and is a must for anyone who seeks to fill their library with porn that has a very refined edge to it.

It should be noted that Great Sexpectations was the follow-up to Sexcapades. Two favorites of mine from Henri Pachard, although I personally preferred Great Sexpectations since I liked the overall cast in it a little more. As much as porn has changed over the years, the messages in this film are still relevent IMHO.

I'm in totally agreement here I preferred Great Sexpectations over Sexcapades because of the cast.Great Sexpectations and October Silk are my two favorite Henri Pachard (R.I.P.)films.
I'm in agreement with the late X-Rated Film Historian Jim Holliday (R.I.P.)Exposed is the best X-Rated film about the making of an X-Rated Film.Great Sepectations and Sexcapades aren't far behind.
Saratoga excellent review of Great Sexpectations you have me wanting to watch it all over again.I could go on and on what an excellent film this truly is I won't due to the fact that Gore Gore Girl has just ordered it so I'll save that for later date.

Sat down and watched Sex Files 1 and 2 back to back.
Excellent job by everyone on both of these movies. I can see why part 1 did so well last year. Part 2 kept the trend alive, totally different set up but still a good story and very well put together.
I might add these to my list of movies I would be willing to recommend to new viewers.
Also watched Ashylnn Brooks directorial outing Red Riding Hood XXX.
Believe it or not this was a very well put together little feature.
Lexi Belle is Red.
Juelz Ventura showed that she is a lot more then just a pretty face and I hope to see her in some larger acting roles in the near future. My only warning about this one is the final scene with Kristina Rose. Sexually it is your typical Kristina off the charts hot but from a plot standpoint it made no sense. I got the impression the movie ended up not being long enough so they just crammed another scene on the end.

^I want see a remastered uncut version of Barbara Broadcast just for that scene alone. That's one of the hottest scenes ever filmed and I'm pretty sure part of that scene was cut.

I started to watch Barbara Broadcast a while back, and didn't think too much of it (maybe because I had been watching a particularly good batch of flicks around that time), but I will definitely pick up the PE release once it comes out.
Tonight I will be watching Ms. Magnificent!!

^^^^^^
The film that cemented Desiree Cousteau as a demented and daffy little duck.

Don't forget the nasty that Susan McBain was up to herself. Took out a waiter's cock in the dining room and just blew him. Right then and there, while looking as glamourous as a 40s screen siren.
Took 27 years to find her after that, but find her I did and received the same treatment.
The things we do for lust . . .

Barbara Broadcast has a delightfully frothy style that can't fail to charm me. That being said, I can understand why one might give up on it: it has rather a lack of substance and ultimately just peters out and quits. Still, for me the style wins out over the shortcomings; the movie can't help but leave me with a smile. Throw in the thrillingly sexy scene with C.J. Laing and Wade Nichols, and the mere presence of Annette Haven, and I find it well worth returning to.
As for Ms Magnificent, that is definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. Desiree was in her usual ditzy splendor, and I loved Holly McCall as well. Enjoy!

Ditzy? Demented? Daffy? I'm in! Just waiting here for Mr. GoreGore to finish wrapping my presents so we can watch the darn thing. Hurry up please...
As for Barbara Broadcast, alpha: "lack of substance" is what I recall from the 30 mins I put into it. That said, your little write-up sounds like something I would say, so I look forward to watching it again but in the usual high quality of Platinum Elite.

One further item on Barbara Broadcast that might appeal to GoreGoreGirl: you have the option of watching with a delightful audio commentary by Jamie Gillis and Gloria Leonard. Mostly this was just nostalgia time as the two reminisced about the period and the people in the film (and other people as well, as they tended to wander freely in their remarks). The wonderful Ms. Leonard, of course, wasn't in the film, but was a nice foil for Mr. Gillis to chat with.
At one point, Gillis remarked, I believe (it's been awhile since I watched this), on Annette Haven being approached unsuccessfully to do the commentary. Didn't Ms. Haven become something of a post-retirement recluse? Do any of you know much about her since she left porn? (I know, base curiosity on my part; but I am sure I'm not alone in thinking her the most beautiful adult movie star ever, and she is my third all-time favorite, as I once noted at indecent length in another old thread.)
Oh, one additional thing about Ms Magnificent: not wanting to lead anyone astray, I should emphasize that calling it a guilty pleasure suggests I liked it perhaps more than it warrants. It is a fairly cheesy movie not on a par with the best of the era. I just thought it very fun in a silly sort of way.
