Don't draw conclusions from your own preferences. WHY does it have to be degrading? Is that inherent? Did the entire US feel degraded in the last 8 years because they were governed by a black president? Or, to use one of your words instead of "governed", how about "dominated" "overwhelmed" or "destroyed"...

^^You're generalizing about IR fans while ignoring the fact that many porn consumers in general, just not IR fans, crave a scenario in which a man "dominates" "overwhelmes" "destroys" a girl. Your claim that "Even if nothing degrading actually happens it's the narrative behind it that makes it so to the eyes of the buyer" could be applied to PLENTY of non-IR porn.
I recently wrote on the Blacked thread:
From what I've seen, critics of IR tend to employ a double standard. That includes pornstar critics, like one who was repeatedly discussed early in this thread. That pornstar was just fine being slapped around, spit on and called names by white guys and Hispanics, but then she wanted to criticize traditional raceplay for being "negative."
IR is no more or less negative/degrading than a lot of other non-IR porn.

100% agree on this point. One of the most common reasons I've seen from performers who won't do IR is they find the " hard race-play" aspect to be degrading. Putting aside the question of why they find that more degrading than being slapped/spit-on, and called vulgar names in non-IR porn (everyone has their own bar I suppose), the idea that the only IR porn in existence is hardcore race-play is so glaringly false it's embarrassing.

I enhanced the parts I'm replying to
Actually it works the same way when the woman is black , in my collection a great deal of my IR porn actually is WM/BF even WF/BF and I usually don't like lesbian porn , I've been advocating for more black women on blacked (with white men I mean) , tushy and everywhere , I ceased my membership with dogfart exactly because they shoot such kind of "destroy the white girl" material , I don't like it , but i continued to support their "We Fuck Black Girls" site for a long while even though it was pretty much the only thing I was watching from there.
I recently discovered a black girl named Naiomi Bilas from a Manuel Ferrara's DVD , Special Dark 2 , her scene with him is beyond arousing a favourite of mine already.

it's one thing to believe scene presentation/marketing schemes/depiction/themes is degrading. it's another thing entirely to believe working with a black actor is degrading, in and of itself.

^Obviously the latter belief is racist. However, the prior belief often gets a respect that imo it's doesn't deserve. IR is unfairly and irrationally singled out for criticism, and the pornstars who single it out never explain why the other porn they do is the "good" kind of porn. If pornstars just want to talk about what they are subjectively comfortable with, fine, but if they're going to make objective sounding statements about IR they should justify them. If they wants to say that there's no problem with the stereotypes, fetishization, etc. that occurs in porn except in the case of IR, then they should explain WHY they believe that, or else they deserve to be called on their bullshit.

I've come across this argument as a retort to the criticism of raceplay. It certainly adds to the level of degradation. When white guys slap around pornstars it justs just a guy slapping around a women white or black. No racial elements portrayed. But anything deemed 'degrading' done by black performers is amplified to raceplay status, it's as if being a particular shade or tone of skin makes the act in question more objectionable or severe. Whites get to just be guys, whereas black guys aren't just guys but the skin tone that they carry.
So, I disagree with the assertion that criticizing raceplay is a double standard, it's racism 1.0 to make black skin peculiar.

My preferences tend not to humiliate women, maybe I'm blinded by such a misconception and I apologize.
It's funny you think Obama is a black man becouse he has black skin. Think again...
Ofc it could! And it would be equally degrading.

^^^^I did not assert that criticizing raceplay is a double standard, but that singling out raceplay for criticism is a double standard. Roleplay in mainstream porn is rarely socially progressive. IR is NOT unique in that regard. Nonetheless, I've yet to see any pornstar critics of raceplay actually make an argument for why race alone should be treated with politically correct sensitivity in porn, while everything else is acceptable.

^^^^It's bullshit to single out raceplay as the one form of roleplay which is to be condemned for not being PC. If a pornstar wants to say that roleplays should reflect socially progressive values, fine, but if they want to make IR the sole form of roleplay that is to be criticized, they should explain why they are doing so.

^x6 and ^x7 It's common - hell, it's arguably normative - for porn to depict immoral and unethical behavior, for porn to stereotype, fetishize, etc. Were that not the case except in IR, pornstars would have an obvious basis for their criticism. Since such an obvious basis does not exist, I'd like to see pornstar critics of IR actually explain why they're only criticizing IR.

Honestly I had to check what the one drop bullshit was. It's "limpieza de sangre" from medieval Spain!
Far from what I meant... I'll try to explain: Obama is the product of an education and an environment that define him by any standard.
He belongs to an elitarian class that must reproduce itself to survive.
That's why Obama is not representative of a "black man", but of the elite group (historically white) that accepted him and supported his candidacy. It's pretty naive to oblitarate these social dynamics with the cool image of the "black president". Ofc he has black skin and identifies himself as black and bla bla BUT did really change anything in the political praxis of the USA since a black man became president? Did he behave differently from the people with white skin that came before him? The elitarian class now benefits somebody else?

First let me begin by saying I've always agreed that "interracial" should apply to any racial combinations. And I am pretty sure most people here would agree, the term should apply to broader racial mixes. And if you cared to investigate, you would find that IR does NOT apply strictly to "2 specific races and 2 specific genders." If you search most vendors catalogs for IR, you will find some white male + black female movies. They are included. It's far more reflective of a pragmatic marketing scheme than it is anything to do with putting races down. I would speculate that 80-90% of porn that features interracial themes is black and white. Any interracial porn including Hispanic or Asian performers is very rare these days, but even so, porn vendors typically have Asian and sometimes Latin/Hispanic categories. They may not necessarily feature exclusively interracial w/ Asian or Hispanic scenes, but they are nonetheless appropriately tagged in Asian or Hispanic categories.
BTW speaking of porn that is cataloged as interracial but does NOT feature black men with white women, Jules Jordan has had a recent bestseller with Special Dark. And then of course there's Dogfart productions, which features an even higher production rate of porn featuring white men and black women.
In fact, now that I've just checked again to find a current sampling of what is being categorized as "interracial" on Xrent for example, I've found several titles outside of the bm+wf standard.
Check for yourself
But Muggle, has it occurred to you that some of us either don't find white men particularly sexually attractive, or that some us do find black men and white women particularly attractive?
There's no shortage of people out there who feel the exact opposite, but they don't have their tastes commonly interrogated or devalued. There's a lot of people out there who do find black women or white men especially appealing. And we don't hear nearly as many irate people trying to take away from that.
And for the overwhelming majority, I would speculate that these sexual preferences have nothing to do with the kind of contempt or disfavor that racism denotes or connotes. Invoking racism strongly suggests there is some sort of hostile motivation behind it. This couldn't be further from the truth in the vast majority of cases.
There was never a good time for shaming people over who they find attractive, but if there was then that time has long since passed.

If it's equally degrading, then doesn't that kind of make the whole issue a wash?
In the end, isn't equal degradation for all what you're looking for? That includes lack of degradation as well. There is plenty of degradation in vanilla porn. These days, I would argue even more. I see more hitting, abuse, and more flagrant debauchery in vanilla porn than in IR. And I don't even go looking for that. That's just what tends to pop up in cursory glances.
Mainstream porn in general is markedly more tame than it was 12 years ago. And IR porn is especially tame now, tamer than vanilla. So I think whatever merit these arguments had probably became finally exhausted pre-2012.
Also, Muggle, again just because you may not be into degradation doesn't mean many many MANY others should not be. This is truly an area to just grant "to each their own" and move along. Unless you're trying to bring up something criminal or imminently threatening, I don't think too many will heed your message of outrage.

Snowbunny Sorcerer, out of curiosity, do you have a big problem with DickDrainers? They like to do raceplay and are quite popular.

I just don't see what good comes from equating raceplay involving consenting adults who are avid enthusiasts of this psychological kink with genuine racism in which people are seriously hurt. It would seem to trivialize real victimization to equate these things.
It's like saying when consenting adults engage in sex with roleplay of a policeman/woman and "taking advantage" of the other partner in a consensual ROLEPLAY and saying this is tantamount to criminal police brutality. Or nurse roleplays being medical malpractice...
We can't take anyone to court for doing legal stuff in the bed that they and their partner consensually enjoy.
C'mon do we really need to police people's sexual fantasies?

It would be an entirely different matter if there was a case of a party or company, let's hypothetically refer to CatQueef, and they developed a reputation for abusing performers and misleading them into provocative scenarios that the performers did not consent to and do not approve of. We can, should, and I believe do hold companies to higher professional standards than that.
I believe there are proper and productive ways to approach this content and meet the approval of all parties involved. DickDrainers seems to be a good example proving this concept. The talent they hire seem to be consistently pleased and happy to promote their work with DD.

Dear Melvyn,
I don't find any kind of men sexually attractive, to me they are a necessary evil for the the greater good. If you find black men attractive you have all the rights to watch them. I find a little bit disrespectful to claim that black women aren't though.
I was addressing the hypocrisy of people who call racist a girl to refuse to be in a "race play" situation.
It's evident to me that those people are not against racism per se but they only want an inversion of roles in the same basic structure.
Nooo, what a disappointment! Is this supposed to be a joke? You seemed way more intelligent!
To be clear I was using the sociological concept of cultural reproduction...

Just because, let's say Ricky Johnson for e.g. is an actor in a scene with an actress, how does his presence make that scene any more extreme than a scene that doesn't include a black actor?
Too often it seems like the mere presence of black actor elicits talks of "how can we tone it down and package it in a way that's classy" as if a black actor's presence makes things more extreme in and of itself.

Saying raceplay in porn promotes racism and should be condemned is like saying that the movie IT promotes child murder. PORN ISN'T REAL. Porn stars are consenting adults and they are playing a part. Can't believe people are still arguing about this shit.

IT is a real fucked up book though! But yah, to DD's point, that book came out 3 decades ago. And there's other even more fucked up books out there. But we don't blame artists and authors for real world crimes, even if the criminals perpetrating them claimed to be inspired by those books or movies or works of art.
Some people think they can blame media, but that's just a generational scapegoat that comes up every couple decades. It's always a new scare. Metal music in the 80s caused the Satanic Panic. Video games was a big witch hunt in the 90s. People claim the Columbine shooters were "inspired" by the movie Basketball Diaries (using trenchcoats) and the video game Doom (ultra violent first-person shooter computer game).
But those maniacs would have done what they did regardless of what media they consumed. If it wasn't some movie or some game, then it would have been something else. Those creations did not make those two sick boys take actions against unarmed defenseless people.
Doom was played by tens of millions of people. 99.99999% of them don't go out in the world and then commit mass murder.
If anything, the rise of ultra violent video games has correlated with a DECLINE in real world violence. Since the early 1990s, video games have only become increasingly violent and realistic, and yet real world rates of violence have been cut in half during the same period. If anything, we may as well credit violent video games and movies and comic books, just violent pop culture in general, for this decline. They shouldn't be condemned. They should be praised. That's if you believe there is some definitive causal link between the two. I think it's smarter to be skeptical. Realistically, at best we can just note correlation. And that correlation is actually very positive, contrary to what the hand wringing fear-mongers say.
Look at Japan's media. It's even more fucked up than America's. More graphic and abusive depictions of violence with less censorship overall (despite the curious mosaic boxes they use in porn). And yet crime there is comparably unheard of.
It all points to the more violent and obscene the pop culture, the less real violence in the society. Maybe it's to do with cathartic value.
Speaking of inverse relationship of media and real world, just look at how common porn is nowadays. It's readily available on every smart phone or mobile device. Kids are exposed to it much earlier and it's pretty much impossible to avoid.
So the fear mongers naturally would want to say this is going to result in rampant sexual activity and abuse.
Facts say otherwise. I keep seeing studies come up which reveal that kids are having sex later than previous generations. Porn isn't turning them into promiscuous sex crazed animals. It's likelier keeping them cooped up or too "preoccupied" to bother with the mess of fooling and running around and playing games where someone usually gets hurt anyway.
So if anything, race-play porn could be a constructive way of defusing tension and giving people perspective of relief. Not saying it's some magical "cure all" for all society's ills, but I have to wonder if there isn't a counter-intuitive benefit to it. Violent games and pervasive porn has only correlated with declining violence and sexual activity. I say run wild with the raceplay. Who knows - maybe it could do more good than politics.

She means that a black guy calling her white lover "bitch" isn't per se more or less degrading than a white guy doing the same to a black woman nor a white guy with a white girl
nor is role play of sort , for example it's said many women have rape fantasies , of course none of them would actually like to be raped, but would like to be completely controlled by her male partner or partners but even though they "use" her none of them want to hurt her.
it's role play , Tyler Knight here on this very forum told us a story , can't remember what topic it was, but he dated Annette Schwarz and HE wanted her to play the SS nazi officer abusing him sexually and verbally , he said he needed a good while to convince her but then they enjoyed their meeting.

You're not reading carefully. I haven't once said or implied that the un-pc nature of roleplay in general makes raceplay acceptable. Rather, I'm saying that it's common - hell, it's arguably normative - for porn to depict immoral and unethical behavior, for porn to stereotype, fetishize, etc. Were that not the case except in IR, pornstars would have an obvious basis for their criticism. Since such an obvious basis does not exist, I'd like to see pornstar critics of IR actually explain why they're only criticizing IR. If a pornstar were to argue that roleplays in general should be pc, that would be one thing, but if they're going to say that IR needs to be the one exception, they need to justify that. So, judging from her work and comments, the pornstar I mentioned earlier on this page thinks that rape scenarios are okay. That means that she does not believe that all roleplays need to reflect/depict socially progressive values. So why does she hold IR to a higher standard? That's not a fallacious question. If you single out IR without explaining why it's not fallacious for me to ask "Why?" in response.

Child murder in It is not shown in a positive light. I would like to point out, the underage group sex is omitted in the miniseries and the upcoming movie.
If you're going to argue that fiction cannot have an impact on attitudes and perceptions of the audience, I'll point out that D.W. Griffith's The Birth of a Nation is widely credited with reviving the Klu Klux Klan.
>>You haven't just said that you dislike and don't watch raceplay, but that it's racist.<<
I think its racist, and I think quite a bit of gendered roleplaying is sexist and misogynistic.
I also have no problem saying I think what people do in private is their business, but hold a different attitude to things created for mass consumption.

Well that's too bad you can't enjoy it, cuz it's a lot of us who can. DD is an independent upstart who has already got a real impressive following better than a lot of more mainstream brands that been around longer.
I'm not telling anyone they are wrong for what they like or don't like. I'm just saying 50k followers so far seem to like what DD is doing. Maybe it's too nasty or insensitive, but it's all consensual and the performers seem to enthusiastically enjoy it.

The original BoaN also came out in an era of segregation and codified Jim Crow racism.
You could not "revive" the KKK today over 100 years since that movie came out if you wanted to. Let's say hypothetically The Trump admin outlawed any positive messages of black and white association, and began using federal funds to make propaganda movies like the original BoaN to distribute nationwide to theaters every month. Just nothing but racist propaganda. Even if that was all he did for his entire term and nothing else, in 4 years the KKK would still not even be remotely as popular as it was back then. Not even by half.
The KKK is not even 1/10th as big as it was before the Feds started busting them up. Even as far back as the 1940s the KKK were being vilified in popular mainstream programming such as the Superman radio show.
At their peak the Klan had membership in the millions. Within a decade that tanked to the low tens of thousands. Today it's even less, all the while the overall population has grown exponentially.
It would take some kind of marketing "wizardry" (indeed) to gain any semblance of political capital back for the Klan. Some argue that is the point behind the so-called "alt-right." But we need look no further than Charlottesville to see what an embarrassment white nationalists are, be they KKK or Neo-Nazis. They can't put together more than a few dozen guys in solidarity. The biggest Neo-Nazi group in America only has a few hundred members. We live in a nation of hundreds of millions. So you have to take the number of Nazis and multiply it by 1,000, and then you have to practically multiply it by 1,000 AGAIN to rival overall population.
There's more members of "Antifa" in each chapter in each state than there are Nazis in the whole nation. And Antifa is a joke unto itself, yet they are 10-100 times the size/popularity of neo-Nazis.
What's crazy is their ideology is even more deadly than the Nazis. Antifa glorify and romanticize communism which killed more people than all other ideologies combined in the last century. Hitler's 3rd Reich only killed 1/4 as many people as those killed by Stalin and Mao and Pol Pot.
So I'm saying no amount of Leni-Riefenstahl directed Goebbels written propaganda would revert things to pre-Civil Rights, Jim Crow racism. It would take enormously burdensome and unpopular legislation to take us back to that. So let alone the impact of one raunchy independent porn brand, which I highly doubt would be the Klan's first choice as inspiration for revival. The comparison of DickDrainers to Griffith's movie is very unfair.
DickDrainers undermines racism. Now, if you want to make the argument that it's so provocatively mocking of racism as to incite reaction, then that's another argument. But no way could it be used to make the Klan cool again. You have to win the youth to have any chance of sustained revival, and good luck telling youth that porn is bad. Kids love porn. It's way cooler than hate groups. To even acknowledge DickDrainers and draw attention to it in some type of outrage would backfire and make you seem really uncool.
There's this one sad and pitiful excuse named Richard Spencer, the guy who wants to take credit for coining the term "alt-right." He's the type that would earn contempt if he wasn't just so hapless. He actually does seem to want to "revive" white identity, whatever that means. And he shuns porn and football. Okay already he's lost at least 50% of the general population just on those objections alone, nevermind all the stupid race agitation. He's not got a snowball's chance of resonating with even 1% of the nation. To even associate with him would be political suicide. And he's supposed to be some kind of white nationalist leader. He's about the least credibly threatening cultural figure on the political landscape. Anybody who feels anxious about all this overhyped "white nationalist" claptrap should just listen to one of Spencer's speeches. He's a sad and impotent charlatan. There is nothing inspiring about his vision. It's just depressing.

Mass consumption?
It's porn whose purpose is exactly to allow people to indulge their sexual fantasies , it depicts exactly so , it doesn't promote anything it's not something you find by chance if you want to watch domination you look for it, either woman on man or men on woman it goes both ways
I don't like the heavy raceplay of some sites so I just don't go there , but there's a lot of peopple who do, including black guys , it's not inherently racist nor it promotes anything , it's product made for a market who demands it.
It appears to me that you believe all porn should be the same , something like soap operas with real fucking in it

Yeah, it's called self-hate, internalizing racism.
Not quite sure how heterosexual male-female sexual contact could in any way not be deemed "sexist" since do to biology (male penetrating capacity), any conventional sexual encounter between male-female, will result in the male being the 'dominant' one.
So you're essentially comparing apples to oranges here.

Selling a fictional product featuring taboo consensual sexual encounters targeting a specific audience makes me self hating? I guess all the women who do kink, hookup hotshot or any type of rough porn hate themselves too?
It's clear you don't understand porn, the adult business, or reality. One more time....PORN ISN'T REAL. You're too sensitive and emotional to be watching it. Do everyone a favor and stop.

^^I'm comparing roleplay to roleplay, porn to porn. Do non-IR scenarios in porn commonly reflect socially progressive values? Pornstar critics of IR hold raceplay to an exceptional moral standard. They do so without ever justifying that.

Thank you for answering. Do all role plays tell us about the real life values of the participants?

^^^^^^Not surprised you would downplay the very real threat of white nationalism and white supremacy during a time when even right-leaning publications have voiced concern; nor that you failed to mention the armed militias that have been working with the "unite the right" crowd. Which is funny, since your posts on pc/social justice border on red scare.
^^^^^Porn's purpose is to bring in money for the studios and producers.

It appears to me that you believe acknowledging something is sexist and/or racist is the same as calling for it to be banned.
I think its important to be aware of what you're consuming whether it's food, drink, or media. That's how you can make an informed decision on how much, if any, do you want.

Any activity with money involved is meant to bring it in , even doctors and Saints asking money for the poors.
Still there's a market and to hit your marketing target you have to reach his purpose which is to jerk off over a fantasy of his .
Hence the purpose of porn is to depict such fantasies on movie to sell them to those who would buy them

Clearly, white supremacy has had a profound effect on the minds of the oppressed to the point that they aren't very aware of it (the norm).
Me, being critical of it, should be the least of anyone's worries, not least the mind of the oppressed.

You continue to use use the what about ___ excuse as a way; a slick veiled way of denying the undeniable.

Should I spell the letters for you???
I do not, nor have I ever agreed to or enjoyed the degradation of women, be it, in porn or in real life.
I will continue to display an unliking for raceplay and all of it's parts.
