i don't know...i like the larger file sizes. certainly, 5 gb might be a little over done for...say, a 20 minute scene. however, i guess i fall on the other side of the fence. if there's your typical 40 minute scene...i'm content with a solid 2gb as long as when watching...the quality substantiates the size. bit rate, as others point out...is the better indicator of quality. but, i'm happy as long as it's hd quality content. i'll bottom out at around a gb per scene. anything less and i feel i shouldn't even bother. so, what do i hate in porn? low quality releases. i want to feel like i'm right next to the action.

Considering that most sites offer their downloads with multiple resolutions, I just don't get what all the fuss is about. I want the 1080 HD option to be as large as is necessary to deliver the best quality -- and preferably at a 12,000 bitrate (like Brazzers delivers). Too much for some, then down load the 720 HD option already. Some studios -- I'm looking at you BangBros -- could knock-off the 20-30 minute lead-ins (e.g. driving around in the bangbus, chatting for 20-minutes about stupid, etc.) before anything happens. This would cut file sizes drastically! But, hey, BangBros is only giving us a 3000 bitrate, anyway, so what the fuck I could edit the whole "bangbus pickup" down to a VERY hot 3 or 4 minutes, but these guys can't or won't use editors who know what they're doing. Other studios do a much better job with their editing (note: I did not say good/great editing, just better). The worst "large file" offender out there has got to be Mofos. Their file sizes are HUGE, yet the video quality is seldom more than mediocre, at best. Anyway, if you're giving me quality, I don't care how large the 1080 HD (or now 4k) option files are. Quality, quality, quality!

You seem to be forgetting something. All those huge 2, 3 GB+ video files take up lots of HD space, so unless you have multiple terabyte external drives you are going to run out of space real quick.

Yes, I have "multiple terabyte external drives," and I have 16.85 TB (before formatting) of local hard drive capacity on my media computer (exclusively for audio and video processing and storage, primarily porn) -- including three WD Green 4TB and one WD Green 3TB drives (that's 15TB) dedicated solely to storage. Which, FYI, keeps my original files locally accessible for immediate access and editing anytime I damn well please :) Not to mention multiple TBs of storage available on my "everyday" desktop (which is still running an i7-3770 CPU with 16GB of RAM). And, all originals are also burned to Blu-ray disks (with TBs of older SD material having been burned to DVDs). I haven't "forgotten" anything. Don't want to invest in hard drive capacity? Why not breakdown and spend $50 and burn your downloads off to disks Obviously, quality doesn't mean anything to you, otherwise you wouldn't be pushing your ridiculous "file size" campaign. Did you miss? where I wrote...How about you download one of the smaller file options that meet your lifestyle (and budget), and leave the larger high-quality, high-resolution, high-bitrate content for the adults? I do lots of things in harvesting ("process") porn files. Originally, I started by digitizing content from from my VHS movies, and found that by having individual scene files for each scene (as opposed to needing to search and fast-forward through entire movies) was a vast masturbatory enhancement :) So, I moved on to extracting individual scene files from my DVDs, as well.
