How long would it take you to watch those one thousand videos?
in a porn doc in the 80's Jim South was telling girls they can make 500-1500 per shoot [soft core or hardcore]. With inflation that would be about $1,250-$3700 so that should be the rates per shoot and also pay the men the same or near it. Every good Hollywood movie has a supporting cast.

Honestly not sure, but on some very random clicking they've ranged everywhere from less than a minute to almost 30 mins. a lot of her older stuff is short clips < a minute, but even in the midst of that, there are 10 minute full scenes.

Don't worry, like all platforms that were built on the backs of the adult industry, as soon as they get mainstream enough, they will purge the adult content.

Well, no need to feel like a fool. Casey's been real upfront with everything when she pops in and a complete professional. There'd be no doubt in my mind that I'd be talking to her directly. She's no fly by nighter.

Based on this article Onlyfans' adult content will not last long.https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-06-16/onlyfans-is-said-to-seek-funding-at-valuation-above-1-billion

Onlyfans wants more money and having affiliation with porn will not attract advertisers. A purge is coming if the evaluation determines the site is worth potentially a billion dollars.

Honestly, if I was an attorney for Onlyfans, I would advise getting out of the adult content arena. I am not sure how they can prevent underage individuals from placing racy material online or underage individuals from viewing adult material. Those two aspects clearly lower evaluation.

^Maybe it's just me but if it wasn't for Covid-19 then even mid-level celebrities and has been athletes could earn decent money without having an OF account. I would argue that even Z level celebrities pre-Covid-19 managed to make money and they didn't use OF. Top tier athletes and celebrities don't need OF because they already have plenty of better sources to make money so I don't expect to see many of them. Now that doesn't mean that OF couldn't pay these athletes and celebrities to pretend to be interested in OF but at some point it would become obvious that whoever is managing their OF account isn't the celebrity or athlete and that could backfire on OF.

I would be cautious of investing in OF while there is still a pandemic going one because right now it's popularity is being greatly affected by the pandemic and I would wait to se if in six months time people are still clamoring their adoration for all thins OF.

Like it or not. The day OF decides to block all adult content from it's platform is the day it's goes out of business. Can anyone name me the top 10 OF accounts that don't involve some type of adult content because I'm really curious to know what they are.

???? I thought I was beginning to understand the whole Onlyfans thing but I guess I don't. After reading that article I clearly don't understand what appeal of Onlyfans outside of lower tier celebs, Instagram models and pornstars. Why would someone pay for an Onlyfans for a restaurant? Why pay for a major star like Cardi B? If there's doubt that a B-level pornstar is doing the actual fan interaction then it's 95% likely that a major celeb has others doing so. What are athletes offering up on Onlyfans to make someone want to join? Clearly I'm missing something.

And perhaps if they do eliminate all adult type content from OF that may be a good thing. It seems some of you have issues with the platform when it comes to pornstars using it. If there's money to be made in this arena it's only a matter of time before someone comes up with a platform better suited for adult content.

OF does well and so many people are hopping on that train because it's the trendy thing right now and it's popular. I don't understand what any major celeb, athlete, or business(?) could gain from OF. In terms of exposure or reaching fans OF doesn't compare to some other platforms in terms of numbers. OF seems much better suited for C-list and lesser celebs offering fan interaction and exclusive content. But I guess that's the way it's always been. As soon as something becomes successful and people see there's money to be made they flock to it and try to make it more mainstream and family friendly in an effort to be more appealing to a wider audience as to make more money.
It will be interesting to see where OF ends up in a post pandemic world. I think if the adult content survives the planned changes it won't suffer that much because it offers something that isn't as easily available elsewhere. The accounts that don't....unless they're offering something or doing something I don't understand or know about, I don't see the point of people staying on that platform for them.

^Maybe I'm ignorant of the various type of content OF offers but I was under the impression that even the celebrities who have an OF account tend to have a certain amount of adult oriented content and some have hardcore content. Not sure most of them would be able to make any significant amount of money if they had to stop adding adult content or worse have to remove all of it.

also, this may be a bit far-fetched, but if their messages say something like "morning love" or use the word "whilst" then, fair chance you're talking to some English OnlyFans support person and not the actual girl (unless the girl is from the UK too, then this assumptions falls apart 😅)

I was also under the impression that OF mostly is used to people offering adult content of some type. But according to the article posted athletes and restaurants use use the platform also. What I'm not understanding is what does an athlete or restaurant of offer on OF that's worth fans paying a subscription for? I could understand an athlete having that service where you can pay X amount to actually talk to them for a preset amount of time but what's the appeal of an OF subscription? I can understand a celeb chef having an OF that has videos of them show how they make a particular dish. I can understand a singer or rapper offering up unreleased music or some BTS footage of a concert. But what does an athlete or restaurant offer up that's worth paying for? I guess I'll have to do some research.

Nothing that article claims negates my belief that the vast majority of the content available on OF is adult oriented with a significant portion of it being midcore/hardcore. I like the part where OF wants to enlist celebrities and athletes...for a fee. I believe that is called paid advertising so how is that any different from those celebrities/athletes who promote a product they don't use and wouldn't be talking about it if they weren't being paid to do that?

Unlike You Tube or Facebook where you can view the vast majority of the content without signing up. You have to sign up to the individual OF accounts to see anything they have to offer so can someone tell me why a restaurant or any other business would want to advertise on such a platform when there are far better ones that will get you significantly more traffic?

I think posters here need to understand the legal exposure associated with Onlyfans. Based on the article above the UK government is placing pressure on the owners to protect minors.

"In a statement in response to our investigation, the government was highly critical of OnlyFans. The website has "failed to properly protect children and this is completely unacceptable", a spokesperson said. "Our new laws will make sure this no longer happens."

Legislation may cut into the profits. It can also make the site notorious. The platform is very popular as indicated traffic is up 500%. With advertisers and famous celebrities do they need adult content and the risk of government conflict. A pivot for the company makes sense financially. We will see if it works. If Onlyfans is valued at a billion dollars adult content will need another platform. Issue is making a platform that creates buzz to attract adult creators, and consumers is not easy.

Well, I just watched a few videos talking about OF and the characteristics of the people sign up for it. While I thought of OF as just a platform for people to see sexy/nude pics of Instagram models or vids of porn girls not available anywhere else, for many subscribers it's much more than that and the sexy pics/vids aren't even the main draw. Plus, while I though some of the things some of you are complaining about in this thread about the platform was just bad applications not thought through, they're actually intentionally made that way to manipulate users. So , after watching those videos explaining the appeal of OF to the people who subscribe, I've come to realize it probably her to stay (or at least until the next platform becomes popular). It all makes sense to me now.

Right now Onlyfans business model does not make sense. The platform was always a medium for "stars" to connect with fans. Adult flocked to it because the platform did not have strict rules. However Onlyfans was not created for adult content. The issue with the platform is an integration of adult material and non-adult material. It does not make sense. If I was the owner I would create a new site totally dedicated to adult material, push the adult material to that site. Create new tools etc for adult performers to interact with fans and then make Onlyfans what it was originally designed to do. Get your billion dollar evaluation. Get famous people on your site and advertisers.

With your new adult material platform act as though you have no affiliation, even though you do.

^ I agree that spinning off the content to a separate site may be the best way to maintain revenue streams from adult content while keeping advertisers happy but I don't agree with your analysis of the business model.

Integration implies design or planning, which contradicts your (correct) assertion that the site wasn't created for adult content. The accumulation of adult and non-adult content is incidental to OnlyFans not being averse to money - it makes total sense that OnlyFans would want to maximize its revenue streams regardless of whether the site was created for adult content or not.

I would say it's more likely that adult creators flocked to OnlyFans because it was growing in popularity and they saw an opportunity to monetize their content more easily in terms of setting up shop and collecting money, compounded by the effects of the pandemic keeping a lot of people at home or at least restricting their movement. I reckon that for the platform not to have strict rules was secondary at best.

^I'm not so sure that the people behind OF were trying to create a kind of mainstream streaming platform. Especially when the man who founded OF in 2016 was a man who's first businesses were in the adult entertainment industry. He sold 75% of the business to the owner of My Free Cams in 2018 so he wasn't looking for someone with a more mainstream background.

^&^^&^^^ Ah no, I disagree. The idea of OF giving up porn to focus on mainstream personalities so to speak in just plain idiotic. They're known for porn. Play to your strengths and ride the wave for as long as possible before they fade into irrelevance. If they cut out the 95+% of their content providers, you're also cutting 95% of their income (simplifying for discussion) for what? Potential mainstream income down the road after an extensive/costly attempt at rebranding.

They basically have a line of people waiting to give them money, why would you give that up?

^One of the reasons why they may be trying to navigate away from adult oriented content is the subject of the below BBC article where it discusses how underage teens create OF accounts and upload content that is illegal to view and could nab the owners of OF in serious legal trouble. Don't forget that CC processors started cracking down on sites that allow pseudo-incest themed porn and they are also concentrating on those sites that allow(ed) child pornography to be uploaded.

I get what you're saying, but you either do or don't do, there is no try. If they were serious, they'd just go "We're done!" and purge all content in the same way that Pornhub did. They could then just reverify any accounts and continue on.

^They are serious about getting out of adult material. If they were not they would not be trying to get a billion dollar assessment and advertisers. Your idea about purging accounts and starting over does not address that they are not using technology to address the potential of minors using the platform for money. It would probably cost a lot of money to address the issue. Furthermore look at the link above. Only fans is starting to attract plenty of non-adult content creators. It is only a matter of time until Onlyfans pivots. I bet money on it.

^I'm not to sure which part of my post your reply is meant for so I'm covering all bases. I think PH had an easier time than OF will because PH basically targeted third party content providers while OF has to target just about everybody that sort of looks underage because those people aren't uploading third party content but their own content. It just happens that they are underage and used fake I.D's to register to OF. Think the modern day equivalent of what Tracy Lord did.

Now if you are saying that OF needs to go cold turkey with adult content and ban everybody that produces that type of content then the first thing they need to do it hire a shitload of staff to monitor all of the various OF accounts they currently have under their banner. Once that's done then they can basically advised those people that they need to purge adult content or lose their OF account. Of course one of the problems is what is adult content? If a woman offers provocative photos or even racy non-nude videos then would she be banned for creating adult oriented content? What about women that use OF to get fans to order private videos that aren't sold through OF but were ordered through OF?

Ultimately I call B.S on OF looking to move away from adult content because I don't think they could survive a second without that kind of content.

^^I checked out the link. If they are going to eliminate adult content in favor of embracing Tyga, Jordy, or Cardi B and the mediocrity they bring, OF will quickly become a Business School case study on how to run your business into the ground. Besides video quality, the main gripe here is about the add on charges beyond the initial membership fees.

Using Demi Rose from the article as an example. She already has half a dozen free accts across social media. But on OF she indicates that..... Wait for it, wait for it..... "might include videos such as her cooking, or playing her instruments in her underwear - she has been learning the harp."

Isn't doing things in your underwear almost adult content? Or is it going to be that I can watch her make lemon meringue pie on IG, but if I want to see her brown the meringue peaks at a critical juncture, I have to subscribe to OF and then click on an upsell?

Did the people tell her nudity/porn would be shown before the subscribed to their OF? Did they put a 2257 compliance statement before their videos/pics? Why would anyone charge $25 a month then show 5 second clips then ask you to buy to see full video.

The simple dishonesty in not telling anyone who was actually followed is that she can say pretty much whatever she wants in order to push the narrative and there is no way to check or dispute it.

For this sole reason any 'anonymous' review should be ignored.

^^ Why? It then just becomes a gossip piece. Or a "ha ha, look what they now have to do" piece.

^ I disagree. We trust journalists all the time when they write about things they have seen, things they were told,... I believe a piece like this is much more effective in telling a narrative when the individuals are not named.

None of those things are true across the board other than the inability to download. They may be true for the people you follow. I have followed many girls who post 10+ minute clips, including clips I previously bought on ManyVids or IWantVIds (that did make me a little upset, but not much). I've only bought like one vid, and that was from someone who gave a free trial and always does hour long live shows.

^ this.

I followed Ashley Fires last year as well, also had full length videos on her page (no upcharge) and did 1 live show per week. The last week I was a member, it was a GG show. I mean, obviously, I can also give examples of girls I didn't enjoy following for reasons similar to the OP, but that isn't my point here, it's his. As in most things, you have to do a bit of research.

Yes, but just because we want to know, it doesn't mean we are entitled to know.

"The Australian former reality TV star posts entire pornographic films, with other men and women."

Also, I think the general public's definition of pornography is usually different to that of regular porn viewers.

Jules Jordan announced that he's got some exclusive OF content coming. How do you feel about this? Obviously he won't have poor resolution content. Obviously it would be well shot. Do you think his OF content will be more to your liking?

^^Maybe she didn't want to name her because it would send more traffic to the reality star's OF account and you can probably Google the question and get an answer. Granted the general public's idea of pornography and our idea may be very different but in this case I think the author mean that the content is hardcore in nature.

^The first words that come to mind are "Brand Suicide". I mean Jules already has a popular site where he can upload those videos he claims will be for OF so unless he plans on producing more videos to feed both platforms then one or both will suffer and frankly I think his site will be the one to suffer first.

The rate of performers moving to mostly or entirely OF-based content seems to be going up exponentially with each passing month. I'm definitely seeing it skyrocket among performers who one might consider mid-tier simply in terms of their relative popularity. Many of them (Maya Kendrick is one that immediately comes to mind) have straight up said that OF is far and away their primary source of income now. Whether or not any of us are particular fans of OF seems to be a moot point at this juncture, as it (or some substitute platform which utilizes a similar structure) is likely going to be a permanent fixture in the industry.

Kali Sidhra poste this today:
"Mis amores. I am very close to deleting my account because, I just can't anymore. It's NOT FAIR. I am finding my Onlyfans material PIRTATED on tube sites. I would like to remind you that i am a low income S3x Work3r who makes VERY LITTLE MONEY on this platform (they take 20 percent of what we earn). When you pirate you are literally abusing my generosity to even SHARE MY BODY with you here and also offer affordable prices for videos and content. My page is free to follow. I don't have a subscription fee so everyone can access it. WHY MUST YOU TAKE ADVANTAGE on BROWN S3x Work3rs? Or any S3x work3r, woman, queer, trans, or disabled person for that matter? I'm not about sharing sexual content for fun, I do this for a living. Respect it or get out. Let me remind you that most creators require a subscription that can start from 10 dollars- 50 dollars a month. I don't have subscription fee and I won't put on but from here on it, all my nudes and videos will be behind paywalls. I am sorry to do this, but for my own sanity, it's the only option.

I really do love most of my fans who have been so supportive and encouraging and would never even dare to do something like this. But there is always one abusive person who has to ruin it for the rest. Don't be that guy."

It's a mixed bag. There's a pretty awful side to OF, with some people creating bots to create low quality OF that just spam you every day. Some of the scammy NN accounts that pretend to not be NN.

However. It's kind of the new playboy. Playboy used to be able to get certain celebs that have lost their spotlight to get naked that you'd never think you'd ever see naked.

Now through Onlyfans I've gotten to see some women that I thought I'd never get to see naked, in the nude, including celebrities. Even in the way of porn people Maitress Madeline does one hell of a live show every week or so on her OF and it's quite cheap to join for a monthly. Kenzie Reeves offered a free trial and did a quality live show as well during the trial period and like good stuff too anal show with a huge dildo.

The live portion of OF is great, you actually can interact with the performers and since you've paid for their monthly fee/to join the chat and other people are paying for a goal they're not constantly fishing for tips the whole time like on some cam sites.

Also it's a little more ethical than your regular run of the mill porn site, especially if you want to see celebrities. You actually can contribute directly to people you enjoy.

There's def some quality problems with the site and if they do ban NSFW RIP. But until then it's been a bit of a dream and a wild ride.

^ At least with Playboy, you knew what you were paying for. Too many content creators don't offer much transparency on what they sell behind the second paywall especially.

Even if OF bans adult content, another platform will take its place in that regard. The adult performers are making way too much money from it and its way too popular of a media platform to just fade away. Not to mention non-porn stars are making bank off of it. I know a few waitresses and bartenders that started doing OF and cams when the bars were closed down, and within a few months they had 500+ subs at $10+ a month. Even everyday gym hotties are raking it in.

As far as the minors thing, I do OF n cams and when you sign up for the sites to broadcast, you have to provide clear pics of your ID alongside your face etc, plus personal info for tax purposes.

Yeah, but believe or not, that lack of transparency is purposeful and one of the reason OF does as well as it does. OF is specifically designed to hook in a specific type of user. It's not as simple as being another place to watch porn.

^Call me a believer because hope and/or expectation that one of their favorite celebrity/model/performer does something that he/she hasn't done anywhere else is the fuel that keeps the OF engine running. That's why I find it ludicrous that anyone associated with OF claims they want to remove adult content from their platform because the day they do that is the day their profit margin completely disappears. I mean Playboy tried to be a non-nude magazine and we all know how well that went.

I think OF would suffer in the beginning if they went down the transparency route but I think it would quickly see a significant increase in profits as more people like me who can see what their money can get them would join multiple OF accounts. Of course individual OF accounts would see a quick drop in membership as people would finally see that all these people had was hype and no substance.

Your last line hits the nail on the head. My experience has been a bell curve with models -
You have the 10-15% who are completely open with what you're getting and you can buy with near-certainty that the media will meet/exceed expectations, there are plenty of pro's and am's in this group.
You have the 10-15% who are scammers and it's best to simply unsub and block them the instant you realize the game they're playing, sadly there are a TON of pro models in this group.
The rump 70-80% of OF accts I've run across are a mix of showing you what you'll get most of the time but then hiding otehr content behind the platform's horrible gamble mechanic of buying to see what's there.

If OF went full transparent the upstanding accounts would boom and the scammers would dry up, sadly for the platform it'll be readily apparent that there are far too many well-known accounts that are operating dishonestly.

Yeah. The smart think to do would be create another platform with a different name to do non-adult stuff. At this point so many people associate OF with adult content they'd have a hard time getting most people on board. And why even try to change something that works so well for them and makes money at this point in the game? Take the concept and recreate it for an all ages type platform if there's actually money to be made with it.
From what I understand the thrill of not knowing what you're going to get plays a big part of the OF addiction for the certain type of OF subscriber. It gives the person the same type of rush that gambling does. They feel like a "winner" when they make the right choice and get what they consider great content as opposed to the less than great stuff.

no system is perfect but to write an article to make it seem as if thousands of u/a teens are signing up and selling nudes is disingenuous esp when the writers themselves coerced a teen to sign up. Adult sites have been plagued by u/a trying to sign up with their older relatives cards/ID since the 90's.

Be well

I can understand that fans have thing of getting closer to their favourite pornstars, but for me personally, it doesn't interest me. I want my porn to be the best of the best. Shot by professionals who know what they're doing.

There's a huge market for amateur porn particularly for custom fetish stuff that most studios won't do.
