A very brief plot summary: a mysterious butler adds spice to Brigette and hubby's sex life. If I could have seen the film in its original language and subtitled, I'd give it a top rating; as is, it's pretty darn good even in this dubbed version that I have. Although my foolish first impression was that she isn't quite my type (whatever that is), I found I simply couldn't take my eyes off of her. I keep going back to the same word, eroticism: she has a smoldering eroticism about her every moment, not just in overtly sexual scenes; it is an ever present steam rising from her. She is well worth searching around for, even (for language impaired little old me) in undubbed versions of her movies. [Link]

Cheyenne Silver is really beautiful there, followed closely by Shay Sweet and others. Everything else was merely OK, except for the awful Hartley/Stone scene (can the makeup be any more of a wood killer?) and equally awful Puck solo scene (yes it can). [Link]

Click to expand It sounds like I probably liked this somewhat more than you, though it was flawed at best. I did appreciate the attempt to follow the action of the play fairly closely. Agree on the oddly androgynous Puck scene, less so on the opening orgy: it starts out very nicely, but I thought it runs way too long, gets repetitive and boring, overuses (the same) close up shots, loses its way. A few other scenes fell short as well. On the whole, though, I was pleasantly surprised. [Link]

The secretary (Laurie Smith) and production guy (Tom Byron) help Silk as does her beau (Eric Edwards) who lets her in on the gold digger's scheme. Director Mike Stryker has a knack for filming wide and letting the performers suck and fuck in frame. Kelly has a solid opening scene with Eric but Laurie ends up being the star in terms of carnal talents. A Mike Horner/Gina Carrera hot tub scene is just sort of stuck in there for no rhyme or reason during one of Silk's radio broadcasts. This had potential but the lackadaisical plot execution drops it a notch or two---!!! outta !!!!! I also continued watching some other Brigette Lahaie flicks but in French with no subtitles. With long dark hair, she's radiant in her brief action in Les Plaisirs Fous that has this guy and a few gals driving about the countryside in what appears to be an old Mercury. She dons a black wig for Evenings of a Voyeur Couple that's a pretty easy watch whether you know French or not. Both are recommended. Due to the great generosity of another ADT poster (thank you again!!), I now have several more of her films, of which I have watched the following: Auto-stoppeuses en chaleur This doesn't feature Lahaie as a principal -- she appears only in one scene (well, a double scene). There is no real story to speak of: a guy drives around and lucks into sex with women -- a couple of hitchhikers, a woman whose car has broken down, etc. Nice looking ladies, generally good sex, though not always satisfyingly shown. A pleasant enough diversion, but don't expect too much. If you are unfamiliar with Ms Lahaie and are looking for a place to start, you would do better to see such as: Serviced With a Smile Je suis a prendre Parties fines Le petites ecoliers La Rabatteuse At any rate, those are my initial recommendations. I am, however, still scratching the surface of her oeuvre. Camp Cuddly Pines Powertool Massacre Gore Gore Girl has frequently praised this porn slasher-movie parody, so I finally gave it a look and quite enjoyed it. An excellent script and acceptable acting make great fun of the dead-teen-ager genre. I must admit I found several of the characters really irritating -- but also quite funny. They were, after all, parodies of stock figures, and well done parodies; I was laughing through my irritation, which I guess is a good measure of success for a comedy. Jessica Drake and Stormy Daniels provided the highlights -- no surprise there. I consider Ms Drake one of the leading performers in porn these days. And, while Ms Daniels doesn't overly appeal to me physically, I find her so charming, so delightful, so completely beguiling that she is generally a joy to behold; in particular, she has a wonderful comic presence, very well shown off here. As for the porn part: the sex was generally very good and the sex scenes all a reasonable length (overlong sex scenes bore the shit out of me and screw up the narrative), and yet nearly every one was in some way offputting. Many were marred by odd, awkward camera coverage and (especially ruinous) awful, extended shots through a camcorder's view (in particular, the Jessica Drake/Eric Masterson scene was a visual disaster, but it wasn't alone in this regard); a couple of scenes featured women whom I personally find unattractive (one to an extreme degree); one otherwise good scene I finally skipped because the guy in it wouldn't shut the fuck up -- he chattered non-stop through the whole thing (it was supposed to be funny, I suppose; I didn't find it so); etc. I think only one sex scene didn't annoy me in some manner. But, your mileage may vary. Anyway, how can one not love a movie with lines like this: Cherokee appears to Tommy Gunn as a Native American spirit figure and comes on to him. When he hesitates and makes excuses, she says, "I'm sick of white men's reservations." For those who care about such things, the movie comes with two full discs of extras. As usual, I didn't watch any of them (speaking of boring), but I did view the movie a second time with the audio commentary featuring Stormy Daniels, Eric Masterson and Jonathan Morgan -- time well spent. The film was funny, the commentary even more so; they all seemed to have a lot of fun, which transmitted nicely to us. Health Spa This late 70s feature spotlights a health club that combines exercise with sex as a motivating factor. An investigative magazine publisher wants to expose and ruin them. Kay Parker and assistant Abigail Clayton are assigned to do the article, but find themselves more sympathetic to the spa than their employer. Sexy at times, but a lot of the sex is poorly displayed. Abigail has implants by this time, though not really awful ones -- she still looks good -- but isn't quite the astonishingly captivating creature she was earlier. Kay Parker is not given a enough of a chance to shine. Phaery Burd is also in this, one of those unsung lovelies of the era who looked fine and always did solid work. The sex is okay if you have a higher tolerance than I do for watching John Seeman in way too many scenes. Worth a look if you are as fond of Golden Age movies as I am. [Link]

I also really liked the Masterson/drake scene -- I think it's the best in the movie. I can see why someone wouldn't like the camcorder thing though. As one who really hates a scene finishing with a guy standing over a woman jerking himself off, this was a rare treat. For those who haven't seen the movie, after they screw, she kneels before him, peels off the condom, takes him in her mouth with her lips sealed around the end, and strokes him off as she sucks the head. I usually don't have much praise for new features but I liked Nica Noelle's WIVES CLUB (!!! 1/2) that's described on the DVD sleeve as a homage to the mainstream film, FIRST WIVES CLUB from 1996. The second half seems a bit rushed after spending too much time with the cheating hubbies in the first half but Nica seems to be putting more into her writing to go along with the "real orgasms, real lovemaking" sex scenes that she shoots---tb [Link]

Sovereign especially plays her part superbly and the sex scene(s) between the two you wont want to miss. I'm not exclusively a g/g fan but the storyline and build up to that point in my opinion is superb. Also watch out for the scene with Katsuni and Sinn Sage as well as a very good non sex performance from mother in law Veronica Hart. Marianne (Brigitte Lahie) lives in a nearby building. Though he has never met Marianne, he is obsessed with her, each night having intense dreams about her. This provides the excuse for the majority of the film: a series of sexual dreams in which Lahaie's character is completely compliant to him. (In one dream, he tells her, "You really are a slut, aren't you," and she replies, "I am anything you want me to be.") Pierre's wife (Ursula White) makes an appointment for him with a psychologist who, along with her maid, then gets mixed into the dreams as well. Eventually, at the wife's suggestion, the psychologist arranges for Pierre to meet the Brigitte Lahaie character. But, there is something more going on with his dreams. For example, in an early one, another man appears, one of the husband's coworkers who turns out to have had the same dream (though from his point of view). Furthermore, once Lahaie's character is brought in, we find that the husband's dreams have been prophetically accurate about her -- they precisely represent what her apartment looks like, that her husband has recently died, what her favorite flower is -- and that she has also been dreaming of the same sexual encounters as his. In the end, Pierre works through what is troubling him in an extended sequence that begins with him returning to his first dream, where he goes to Lahaie's apartment, and completely reenacts the events of that dream, but Lahaie is now replaced by his wife, leading to the ultimate resolution (of sorts). As a huge fan of Brigitte Lahaie, she is my main reason for watching this movie. She is as beautiful here, and as sexy, as always; however, for most of the movie she appears as Pierre's compliant dream figure, and as such has something of the air of an automaton, not the sort of rounded, fleshed out human character we see in films like Serviced With a Smile -- though, of course, all in service to the plot; she is what she's supposed to be here. Conclusion: not top-tier Lahaie, but very watchable -- sexy, a simple but ultimately intriguing enough story, and a chance to enjoy one of my all-time favorite ladies. Two final remarks. One of the dreams contains a forcible rape sequence; it is a small piece of the film and can be skipped if you find it too unpleasant. Secondly, for those of you obsessed with the money shot, be aware that there are very few -- most scenes end without a visible pop. Didn't concern me. Debbie Does Dallas 2 I have always had a soft spot for Debbie Does Dallas -- more so than its quality merits. It was one of the first two adult movies my wife and I watched eons ago (Behind the Green Door the other; don't remember which we saw first). But, I had never seen the sequel, so threw it into the DVD player for a look. The story was at about the same level of sophistication as the original -- meaning weak and corny but mildly entertaining -- and the sex generally much weaker this time out. After not making the Dallas cheerleaders, Debbie is away from home and moneyless. She takes refuge at an aunt's ranch, which turns out to be a cathouse. Her aunt shows her around, letting her watch the ladies at work. When a high school coach (Ron Jeremy) pressures police to raid the place, she helps defuse the trouble the expected way. Not as fun as the original, but okay. Some of the sex scenes are nice, some weak. A couple of otherwise decent scenes are in a dark room with awful red lighting. One is extremely short and chopped up, looking like highlights from a trailer. The opening scene is offensive -- three piggish cops vie over who will arrest and molest her, though she has done nothing wrong (just walking along the road). All in all, okay for its era, but not a highlight. While I am posting, I might mention another movie, though it's not a feature. A while back I happened to see two films with Kimi Lixx, esteemed member here at ADT -- quite by accident; I hadn't sought her films out. But, I was very impressed with her as a performer (and a hottie!) and poked around for a few more of her efforts. Amongst other things, since she apparently did a lot of fetish modeling, I picked up a light bondage movie called Tied n Cumming 2 (or maybe 3?? Says 2 on the box, 3 on the film). Not really my cup of tea, but I am up to sampling something different now and then. There isn't really a lot to this. In her half of the movie, Kimi is tied up, lightly flogged, and stimulated with a magic wand. And yet, I surprisingly found it rather enjoyable. She looks very fit and sexy, and her impish smile seems to promise so much delightful mischief. Mostly, though, is this: Kimi is so direct and candid on these forums that her personality beams forth: strong -- and headstrong -- smart, witty, arch, and all those other lovely traits she never deigns to mask. What is surprising in this flick is how much bright little bits of that personality manage to leak out even with the limited means of expression available. She is, after all, bound, constrained, gagged with ball or bit. And still that heady character peeks out to charm us. The other scene features Madison Blue. I was less engaged by this. As noted above, this genre isn't really my thing. Between the scene running long with with no variety and my lack of connect with the model, I was back to my inherent disinterest in the material. Also, the over loud, obnoxious music masked the sounds of the scene; in Kimi's portion, the aural content was a major added attraction. (I might add, on a technical level, that the sound was erratic throughout and the camera work of minimal inventiveness.) I liked the first scene because of the personal appeal of Kimi; the second scene lacked that, and left to its meager devices couldn't hold my interest. Meanwhile, I will in the future periodically cue up more of her movies. Still looking for the OOP Senator's Wife, which Ms Lixx has listed as one of her recommendations. [Link]

Dubbed in English. Belles d'un soir (1977) Patriarchy triumphs. Three women with offensive, sexist pigs for husbands rise up against them and leave home, setting up house together. In their rebellion, they mimic the piggish behavior of the men. When their rebelliousness gets them fired from their jobs, they turn their apartment into a brothel to get by and end up being busted. On release from jail, they go crawling back to the men, who not only re-subjugate the women but begin pimping them out. Sex scenes are short and often completely devoid of feeling (purposely, per the plot), but there is a nice erotic tone to the movie. Brigitte Lahaie is the reason I watched it, but this is very much an ensemble piece for the three leads, with Véronique Maugarski and Martine Grimaud rounding out the trio of angry women. While the story plays with dreadful and ultimately triumphant sexism, it does manage a humorous feel for all its oinkery. (A favored scene: when Lahaie's character, a nurse, is tired of being verbally harangued by a wealthy, mean-spirited old patient -- after she has just finished getting him off -- she slowly pours a bottle of his urine over his head; very satisfying moment!) Pretty Peaches 2 (1987) Very fun DeRenzy, a charmingly screwy story of an innocent young woman trying to learn about sex. Nothing in common with the original Pretty Peaches other than the protagonist's name and a general, light goofiness, this time sometimes veering close to surreal. A nice cast gets into the gently silly spirit of it all. Siobhan Hunter is delightful as Peaches -- in the little I have seen of her work, I have always liked her a lot. Here, she doesn't have the delicious ditziness of Desiree in Peaches 1, but is fetchingly innocent while still being sexy as hell. But, Tracey Adams steals much of the show as Peaches' mother. Ron Jeremy and Herschel Savage are camping it up all around, and with Jamie Gillis in drag as Granny -- well, just go with the flow. As I said, very fun. Also, I found the sex mostly quite nice. Scenes are certainly much shorter than what you see in modern films, and especially blowjobs are usually kept disappointingly brief (there are some women here who do it so nicely, too), but I found this charmingly erotic and satisfying. Teenage Twins (1976) The obvious raison d'etre for this movie is the coolness factor of twin sisters -- and yes, they get it on together. There is also an attempt at a plot involving an ancient magic book and a ritual to cast a spell, plus the sisters psychically experiencing each others sexual escapades. Mostly, though, it's an excuse for sex with a lot of intrafamily activity going on. Not impressive as a movie, but I found this surprisingly hot, most likely because of the naughtiness of sisters getting it on, plus the various other combinations of Mom, sisters, stepdad and his colleague intertwining in all combinations. Here are four to skip: Dream Master (1999 -- Michael Raven) I have enjoyed several of Michael Raven's movies before (e.g., The Visitors and Beast), but found this terribly disappointing. Though I kept watching, I had pretty well written this movie off within the first 20 minutes -- unfair of me, perhaps, but nothing happened later to alter my perception. Fast forward predominated. For a film with airs of being mysterious and a little bit dangerously sexual, this is bland and insipid stuff -- the whole look and atmosphere of the movie, the dialogue, the acting. Most of the sex, excepting only the final scene, is dull and lifeless. I think especially of the first scene -- how can sex with Sylvia Saint be made so blah? -- but nearly every scene was devoid of heat. I want to know who kidnapped Michael Raven and replaced him with a pod person. This movie is a throw-away. Consenting Adults (1982 -- Gerard Damiano) Sort of a magazine format -- a series of unrelated short articles on sex, directed by Damiano but with Annie Sprinkle as the principal guide. An odd mix: a Mr/Ms Nude America event; Marc Stevens masturbates as he watches his wife fucked by another man (and is himself eventually sucked); a femdom treating a client as a dog; a woman getting her labia pierced; two women doing a live sex act (including blowing members of the audience) in a club so dark as to be nearly invisible; women in apartment wrestling/oil wrestling; a shemale rhapsodizing on the joys of cocksucking; etc. While trying to explore some of the edges of sexuality, it seldom comes across as erotic. I found it as arousing as flipping through an old magazine in a dentist's waiting room. Silky (1980 -- Joe Samo) No story here, just a series of sex vignettes connected by the commentary of Merle Michaels, picked up midfuck each time, who finishes her fuck then introduces the next segment. The movie is unwatchable: lighting is awful, most of the sex lost in dark shadows. Color is atrocious -- skin tones tend mostly to red, with highlights of yellow and green. Sex, what little you can see in the murkiness, ruined by excessive use of close ups. Little Orphan Sammy (1976 -- Arlo Schiffin) Really, really bad movie. Excruciatingly stupid; it tries for funny, misses by a continent. Abysmal acting is exaggerated by everyone camping it up. Sex scenes seldom rise to tepid, are often extremely short, and broken into tiny bits to mix around. What a waste of Jennifer Welles, C.J. Laing, Andrea True and Jamie Gillis. [Link]

Another Cecil Howard title and thoroughly enjoyed this one. Sex scenes were very good, story line very good and a solid performances especially from Ron Jeremy, what more could you ask for? For those that don't know: The story revolves around a family where the wife is cheating on the hubby (Ron Jeremy) with his best friend, daughter knows but doesn't let on, actually hubby knows but doesn't want to admit it. All three have their own sexual encounters but return home and attempt to maintain the happy stable family unit, however the perceived secrets provide an uncomfortable psychological under current throughout the movie. Being AVN's first Best Film Award winner this make this movie a must see. Golden Girls: The Movie (1985) I'll be completely honest, I switched this off after twenty minutes. With Jamie Gillis and John Leslie in it I thought I would give it a go but after the opening sex scene where I had no idea how they came to be having sex, I zoned out and did something else. Can some one who's seen this movie please convince me to give this another go, it does get better doesn't it? [Link]
mcewan All-Star Member 1294 Posts 8/08	Posted - Apr 29 2012 : 5:20PM ^Scoundrels is an excellent movie then again I'm biased being that Cecil Howard is my all time favorite director.In Scoundrels Ron Jeremy turns in one of his finest acting performances of his career.Also gorgeous redhead and one time Hustler Centerfold Copper Penny makes one of only 17 film appearances of her career.Tammy Lamb (a.k.a. Bambi)best known for her performance in Taboo 2 which I have to see has a scene where she works at a massage parlor and Ron Jeremy pays her a visit,Cecil Howard would also use this clip in his 1986 release Star Angel.Ariel Lee (non sex role) is a gorgeous sex tease throughout the movie. Golden Girls it's been a while since I've seen this one it did in 1984 receive Hustler's Highest Rating and back in the 80's when I started purchasing X - Rated Movies Hustler was my go to guide and a majority of the time they were right on the money. Now watching this I do remember it being rather cheesy with a lot of attractive performers.It wasn't the best I'd ever seen or purchase.I don't remember it being the worst either.I have on numerous occasions watched a film a couple of times and have found myself liking it better the second time around.Maybe the fact John Leslie (R.I.P.)Jamie Gillis (R.I.P.) & Shauna Grant (billed as Callie Aimes)(R.I.P.)were cast in this film your expectations might have been to high. You maybe right about my expectations before watching the movie and I was finding the cheese factor slightly irritating before the switch off, don't get me wrong I do like some cheese I'd recently watched High School Memories (1983 - Spinelli) and really enjoyed it, it was obviously well made though. Anyway I still have the movie for a couple of days so I may still give it another go. Watched this when I got in from work this morning. Dixie Ray Hollywood Star (1983 - Spinelli) Set in the 1940s, private investigator Nick Popodopolis (John Leslie) is hired to investigate a black mail plot by former Hollywood star Dixie Ray (Lisa De Leeuw) to find out who is trying extort $50,000 from her. As I'm beginning to find out a star studded line up doesn't always guarantee a great movie but this one ticked all the boxes for me, totally my kind of movie. Not once did I look how long was left it really could have gone on for another hour and I would have still been happily watching away. Decent storyline, very good performance and very good sex scenes, easy to see why this movie won the awards it did. Recommended for any one who hasn't seen it. [Link]

Click to expand If you can find it, check out IT'S CALLED MURDER, BABY. That's the 'R' rated version of DIXIE RAY, which was actually released theatrically a year before DIXIE. ICMB adds an additional 45 of plot, sub-plot and characters missing from the DIXIE cut. Granted, it has no sex, but as a film it works much better and makes a lot more sense. [Link]

I thought it caught the mood and atmosphere very well and (in spite of some criticism it got) found the acting convincing. Also liked Expose Me Lovely, but felt Dixie Ray was almost as good. [Link]

It's Called Murder Baby) was intended to be an R - Rated Movie after all it did have a legit Hollywood Actor who was scene throughout the movie that being Cameron Mitchell. I do remember the Summer of 1984 I was with some friends in Georgetown we were out drinking we decided afterwords to take in a porn movie on 14th Street in Washington DC at a theater called the Casino Royal (No longer there)I was all excited because I was reading the ad in The Washington Post and Dixie Ray was suppose to be playing.Well it must have been a Wednesday because we ended up watching Unthinkable.Was I ever disappointed I had my heart all set to watch Dixie Ray Hollywood Star I mean after all with all the build up and hype and receiving Hustler's Highest Rating.Unthinkable was gonzo before gonzo I did enjoy watching Tamara Longley and Bunny Bleu perform though. My take on Dixie Ray Hollywood Star I like it.Is it Anthony Spinelli's best work ? No,it's still superior to a majority of the features on today's market though. [Link]

Click to expand It wasn't intended as an 'R' film exclusively. Hardcore scenes were shot, but when Chris Warfield first released it, he decided to take a gamble and see if the 'R' cut took off. Much to my surprise, it was really good! Not only is it not one of the typical current parody type movies (it really could have had its own original title, but I guess they're cashing in on the parodies), but the sex scenes were fairly integrated and actually interesting. Granted, this may be because I'm unfamiliar with Dorcel stuff, so the sex was novel solely because it was something new, but even with that in mind it felt fresh. For the language impaired (like me), be warned that this is in French. The film concerns women -- and later men -- being sold as slaves (sexual and otherwise) at auction, very willingly. (Indeed, when one woman is returned to the auction house as unsatisfactory, she bursts into tears.) Light sex romp, nothing illuminating, but pleasurable enough. Attractive women, decent if vanilla sex. Would have liked more of Brigitte, but then I always want that. Aphrodesia's Diary Very couples oriented. Much soft camera work, sensual. Opens with Dominique Saint Claire reminiscing about her past and the men who had exploited and betrayed her. She was an innocent girl from the French countryside who had a rough start in her adult life, but all works out happily in a romantic end. Nicely sensual movie, not overly hardcore, but quite pretty. Note: the DVD cover features Vanessa Del Rio, who is in two scenes, but this is very much Ms Saint Claire's story. Open Nightly English dub of a French film from ca 1980. The familiar porn story of an innocent girl in a brothel: in this case, a financially strapped cathouse whose owners decide to use their virginal daughter to bail them out (she is eager to help). Her education is brought along slowly, first by observing, gradually becoming integrated into the action orally only. Finally, customers buy into a card game to win her virginity. Full of very attractive women and generally nice sex. Enjoyable. Getting Off No story here. Pat Manning and John Leslie are doms, Desiree Cousteau a submissive, and they are used as connective tissue between scenes. But the bulk of the movie is just a series of unrelated reminiscences of other people and events -- purely a loop carrier. The opening scene (continued throughout as framing) is ripped off from Metzger's Punishment of Anne, but without the style and class. Leslie is underused and his manner is what, in less PC times, might charitably have been called retarded. On the plus side, the sex is generally pretty hot in a 70s vibe, semi-watchable for that. On the whole, though, from a modern perspective, this has the weaknesses of its era without the virtues. [Link]
