JD has been out socialising with the Kink crew so presumably their public declaration was simply a damage limitation excersise and they like most biz people take a realistic (non hysterical) view of these allegations.(and JDs site still links to kink as a freind site) Everything considered hopefully this will be a good thing for JD and he can make the adjustment in his behaviour , after so long in the business its not inconceivable that peoples perceptions can become warped and twisted - witnness the agents seriously saying that alleged victims should feel grateful for being sexually abused by him and porn film crew high fiving forced sexual acts. Generally people seem to think hes a good guy - as witnessed by the James Deen? topic where porn girls (Roxy DeVille, ryderskye, DanaDeArmond, melissalauren, unanimously sing his praises, and if its true that alot of women have rape fantasies then this might even consolidate his popularity, time will tell. He still seems popular with the babes captured here at avn - rhs is v hot. Either way hopefully the women involved can move on happily with their lives (rather being subsumed in self-destructive bitterness)and so does JD.
^^^ I listened to it, they bring it up one time and Deen answers (im paraphrasing) “everything there is to know was said in the Daily Beast interview” (by Aurora Snow).

Neither of them are identified beyond babes at avn unfortunately - maybe someone else recognises her or she herself is an adt member and wants to say hi. She has a great posture.
This thread is so depressing. I feel like we spent more time engaging in hostility and attacks with each other on this message board than actually could have even theoretically transpired between James and Stoya. We spent more time fighting amongst ourselves than they spent with each other. SMH!

When I was a kid, I memorized the comedy routines of Bill Cosby, available on vinyl records. I'd entertain friends & family by repeating the hilarious stories, in his style, unique to him. Recently, after a long absence, I checked my Facebook page's "Liked" pages and found I had "Liked" Bill Cosby's FB page. I noticed that the wife of a veterinarian friend also had "Liked" Bill Cosby's FB page. I had a moment, where I thought about removing the "Liked" status of the described page. I chose to keep it as it was. I chose to give the man the benefit of the doubt. I choose to do the same for James Deen.

Ditto! Also got me thinking do most people give the benefit of doubt in cases like where the person dies before being found guilty in court of law if it even makes it that far i.e. Michael Jackson. Also, playing devils advocate here if true do this bad behaviour negate anything positive these guys did earlier in life? is there a tipping point and if so what is it and where? I mean I doubt a majority of guys here are really going to stop flapping to any porn with James Deen in it!

Michael Jackson was exonerated years before his death, so that's an odd example.
Good question. Although I won't be watching any of Deen's future work, I haven't deleted any of Deen's past scenes from my hardrives or tossed any of his dvds. That fact is that he's participated in many of my favorite scenes and those scenes are still favorites of mine, even if I think Deen is probably guilty of at least some of what he's been accused of. Now, those are mostly older scenes and frankly his work was beginning to bore me in the year before Stoya went public. I wonder, if I had been enjoying Deen's new work as much as I had in the past, would I still have stopped when I decided that one or more of the allegations against Deen were probably true?
I don't know that any bona fide fans of Deen have said that they're giving him up. Maybe dropping him doesn't mean much to viewers who either didn't like him or were indifferent to him in the first place.

benefit of the doubt is an honorable thing to do in most cases.. How can you rationalize doing it when there are 50 accusers? I really think that is what makes the Cosby thing so unique and really different from Deen. Edited by - Canadian_Cindy on 2/9/2016 9:11:51 PM

I think many adult viewers, don't want to know or refuse to accept everything bad that is happening behind the cameras. Imagine some of the adult viewers as fast food consumers who are trying to enjoy their hamburger. They dont want to know from what animal the meat came from. How or where the animal lived or if he had limps or ears. Imagine them also as fur owners who dont want to know how many minks where killed, in order to take their skins off for example. Because if they do learn, they might be troubled. This knowledge might spoil the overall sexual appeal of a scene, it might alternate the taste of their meal or the soft feeling of the fur. No matter how cynical or cold someone might look, there is still a small internal voice of morality or humanity if you prefer, which might eventually prevent him from enjoying a certain product. We are not perfect as human beings and in a grade that is normal, as long as that small voice still has an impact in our judgment. What is not right, in my opinion, is when we are turning in the opposite direction and trying to justify our tendency we start making faulty generalizations or idealizing something that is wrong or inhuman. We CANNOT DEDUCT that
all women are naturally masochistic or like rough abusive treatment
(In this point I have to make a distinction between hard, intensive and rough, abusive sex. In my experience, most women encourage hard sex, after a point, as an expression of passion. After all, every lover knows that if you dont move your butt, you will not make your partner happy.)
all fantasies or acts you see on screen should be copied in real life, at least not in the exact manner
when a woman says no she actually means yes
a woman who is working in the sex industry accepts to be treated disrespectful or violated by everyone in real life
trying to break a woman's feminism makes you a man
a raper is a cool guy and raping is a natural expression of sexual instinct
Especially those who encourage the last statement should comprehend that if something similar happens to their spouses, relatives or friends would form a complete different opinion. Now I know that some of you will say, that I am pretending the smartass professor or I am talking about things everybody here already knows but Trust me, you have no idea how many mentally and sexually immature people are still out there (especially now that porn access is free for everyone) and how distorted ideas they have about sex, women, porn and the people who work there. So no matter if we like JD or not, what he did, if he did it, to Stoya or to her colleagues is WRONG! Period. And by any mean we should not encourage off screen raping practices by anyone, even if they become behind a porn stage or even under the prism of sentimental relation. It is not about sex or control, It is about respect and trust. And whoever believes otherwise he better be careful what he states here, because this site and its threads are read by many adult performers who wouldn't like to know that some people do not really give a shit about them as personalities. So all the industry and especially the viewers who understand something more, should raise a shield of protection to them if we still want to see them performing on screen and listen to our wishes. I can personally admit to you that I did consider that JD was a very good male performer (when he didn't pretend the misogynist) but all this fuss made me look at him under different site. So again I strongly suggest to JD, in order to fix his public image, to try to look more like a caring human being, who might had made mistakes and not like an indifferent apathetic person who whistle senseless. He needs to work in order to reestablish relations with his colleagues and the adult viewers in general. This is very important because the industry needs his skills. (It would be helpful for him to recall Bill Clinton case) Now, about Stoya, although it is a bit inhuman to ask from a victim to forget what happened, especially to a very complicated personality and a sensitive character like her, I do agree also that she needs to try to move on and save herself from depression. She is still very very pretty and sexy, she has a lot of fans (including me) who appreciate her and she has a vision that needs to be fulfilled. At least this twitter declaration might be a positive sign for her future... We miss you princess!

@KeishaAddiction: It might not look like, but the truth is that the industry has a big issue with adult male talent. There are actually around 50 cocksmen who are actually active in US and can perform in a big variety of scenes (erotic and hard) including physically demanding activities like DPs and gang bangs. That is why there is a constant import of male talent from Europe the last decade and that is why industry needs JD skills (despite some minor wood issues). JD image before the accusations was one of the most successful in the biz and believe me for many young starlets, was the ideal sexual mate and initiator. He had done many great scenes, including pairings with some of his exes and it is a pity that some viewers cannot enjoy them now, as they used to before. But it is not the blame on the viewers, of course. It seems that he couldn't just retain the sexual balance off stage and somehow he managed to destroy whatever he build all these years. Unbelievable. @MissPornUSA: Yes I am referring to Bill Clinton. Bill Clinton also fucked up when he was still a president and before, humiliating his wife and an entire country. But people forgave him because he publicly repent. Of course, there are two very different cases but James and his publicists could take a very significant lesson by this. He needs to apologize to the alleged victims and condemn publicly any malicious impulsive behavior off screen, either is committed by him or by any other perpetrator. There is no other option for him. It will not gonna fix what happened, but it will sooth a little bit the impact!
Meanwhile... Explore Sexuality!

Nice comparison to the meat or the furs as to people not wanting to know the evil side of how their product is produced. Porn has a very dark underbelly to it and most people don't know or don't want to know. There is a huge distinction between hard/rough sex, and abusive sex. Some men like Mr Deen don't understand this and play this narrative in their head that "every girl wants it"; when they may want to be fucked hard or slapped, but not be harmed or humiliated or pushed beyond their will, or have someone purposely try to injure them. A woman wanting a face slapped a bit during sex may be a turn on, having a recently operated on nose to be pushed into the face is just someone being plain cruel and that is abusive, or having to say no 8 times before the person stops is just being abusive. There are differences that some people unfortunately don't understand.

If Bill Cosby was an indigent waif, living on the streets, holding a cardboard sign at a street corner, I'd doubt any of the "50" would bother accusing him.

If Cosby were a homeless waif, I doubt he would have had an opportunity to drug and rape such famous women and have the money to cover it up as he did.

This is more of a post to move me along in this thread than anything else, but...... for me I don't watch porn for the guys, I watch for the girls and the type of scenes.
If he admitted the accusations are true, he might go to jail for rape and he might have to pay financial compensations to his victims. And the rest of his money would go to his lawyers. It's pretty unlikely this would save his career. Edited by - Keishaddiction on 2/11/2016 12:09:42 PM

Yup this is why this will blow over because I'm guessing the majority of porn consumed by guys you rarely even see the guy's face so James Deen can easily be replaced by any "stunt" cock, which I doubt the majority of males, can tell any difference? If anything I'm guessing it's the females that will lose out because as I mentioned before and other here have the majority of his fans were female.

Then how do you explain that most porn never shows the male's face let alone entire body? There are exceptions of course, like Woodman (and that's where guys will make their opinion know wanting him to lose weight or show less of his undesirable self!), that actually makes sure to show his entire body/face in all his scenes because that's what he specializes in but I say ask any random guy on the street to name a male pornstar and they couldn't even tell you (back in the day they could at least tell you they didn't want to work with Ron Jeremy at least)! Actually, now that I think about it I recall seeing some BTS of female pornstars where they are asked if there is any male in the business they would want to work with and get a blank response from them too! The other main complaints I can recall from guys that actually avoid certain male performers due to personal quirks like that talk to much, make certain noises or faces, etc.. Personally, I've yet to not watch a scene in porn due to the male involved(Ron Jeremy did get close to getting on my nerves though since he seemed to hog all the work in porn for a while it seemed); it's all about the girl for me. In my experience, men's faces and bodies are generally quite present in porn. Not focused on, but not hidden either.

Well... I agree of course that his career will never be like it was before for several reasons, but there is still time to save his dignity and maybe make a new humble restart. But it is not all about him. The impact of this story is a lot bigger than him or even Stoya. It affects the entire industry, a lot of adult consumers and a big part of our modern society. There are a lot of adult actresses which were annoyed about what came out and started to worry about the working conditions and even reconsidered their very place in the industry. It is already difficult what they do, so this was one additional blow against them. But the most important issue lies on the fact that many people consider James as a male sex idol, imitate his behavior and support his actions. This is not an exaggeration. I lived it myself by hearing teenage boys proclaiming that "all women are bitches" and "they like to raped and beaten up" and stuff like that. How the fuck to explain to them they are wrong, when probably they haven't even touch a woman before. So I am saying that he needs to denounce raping mentality once and for all in order to help the industry, he is working for, his female colleagues, the immature audience and of course himself. It is up to him to pick the role he should portray. There are always proper ways to say the right thing without risking to go to jail. The problem is how convincing he is able to be... and who will believe him.

The big difference with the cosby affair is that the cosby victims felt strongly enough to report the matter to the police - whereas none of the Deen accusers has done likewise. Stoya may have had her 15 seconds of glory but the circus of frivolous complaints and nonsense that has ensued has done no service in treating the issue of rape with the seriousness it deserves . There has not been any formal legal proceeding dealing with facts that gives complaints proper justice and credibility. Instead we are left with the enduring fact that all these women tolerated being sexually abused in silence and did nothing. The saddest part is that the message this sends is that women tolerate being sexually abused - they will not go to the cops - they think tweeting about it makes them feminist warriors.
There are exceptions of course, like Woodman _____________________________________ I was never proud to show myself on video because for sure I am not "handsome boy" style. But as a porn lover from always, I think full hetero men never paid any attention of the male physique during the sexual act but care only about the action. I was always interested to see a girl in the 80s taking her first anal because it was rare at this time and I really didn't care if it was John Holmes or Ron Jeremy and even I prefered them than an appolon like Francois Papillon because that kind of appearence is not representative of more than 5% of the men on earth and it was looking to fake for me ... Considering today at 53 years old, I sale 5 times more a girl alone in casting with me than if she does a DP with Seb Barrio and Mike Angelo who have a perfect 6 packs body and good faces, I still perform on camera with my ugly look because it's obvious many heteros on earth care more how I fuck them than how I look on the picture ... PW
I know one thing. I will continue to pay for JD films and I will never buy Stoya films. And I don't think anyone in the business should have sex with her or they risk their careers.
I don't know James Deen but I know Stoya. I have already said what I have to said about this story on my forum. I never heard anything bad about this man, only positive comments from all people I was speaking with and curiously even having diner with Stoya never she told me anything bad about him but it doesn't mean nothing too ... All I know, this story is very sad and I don't see the interest of this !!! PW

Honestly, I think since nobody has filed charges or a lawsuit, it probably is time to just move on from the story. Everything that needs to be said has been said, and everyone has enough information to decide what they want to do in terms of working with or hiring Deen, watching his porn, etc. I applaud the women for coming forward; and hope it has opened a door for porn performers in the future to feel they can come forward when something happens.
So, did we ever see those "texts" deen claims would explain stoyer's behaviour? i found both of them unappealing for different reasons, if you had told me deen was a possible rapist, i'd believe it and if you told me stoya was a delusion mental case, i would have no trouble believing that either. but it has been interesting see people's take on this matter. no proof from either side yet many people desperately wanting to believe the hype. the whole thing has been more about the people who know nothing about what happened, than the two people who do.
^^Since Deen seems to back working as if nothing happened is that door really open?

^^^ The events described are mainly (except stoyas) events that happened out in full view of everyone in the vicinity. We apparently have a journalist being raped in front of an audience , kori peters being raped in front of a crew high fiving each other and nikki blue being gang raped by individuals that included a kink director - so how much further forward can things come. Its seems like the biz sees it and isnt concerned. The only real recourse , like it is for everyone in society is to report it to the police. But unfortunately as we are aware for a multitude of reasons they opted not to do this.
Interesting related case from Canada Long story short, a high-profile celeb was accused of sexual assault by several women, including a prominent (in Canada) actress. He recently had a trial on three of the four charges. All the accusers had been on social media and had exchanged e-mails with each other, much like the Deen-Stoya case. The defense counsel took all those tweets and hashtags and used them to undermine the accusers' credibility.

^ According to the article not 'all' of the accusers were on social media and communicated with each other via email. Two of the four who came forward exchanged emails. Not clear how many of those who came forward used social media, several didn't come forward so they probably didn't use social media at all. Ghomeshi started it all by posting his defense to FB after being dismissed from the CBC. It was a very dumb move and obviously once he hired his high priced lawyers they told him to shut up. If his outsized ego hadn't driven him to making that FB post he could have slunked off and got another high paying job in media or communications. Edited by - BlackSix on 2/24/2016 5:45:20 PM

Flacfan based upon available evidence we cannot categoricaly believe or disbelive either party. Therefore guided by the notion of innocent until proven guilty that underpins our justice system the "benefit of the doubt" if you like to call it that is afforded to the accused - in this case JD. OK ? Happy.
