I believe it's referred to as trolling.
Of course it is unreasonable to assume that others will change their way of thinking and the likely hood that there are grudges behind some of this should be counted on.
Did he do it? 2 people can answer that. We never will know. James is probability doing exactly the correct thing, because barring a smoking gun, it's she said/he said.
I'll burn my troll shoes {for now}.

Trenchcoat still has material featuring JD and so did Joanna Angels website the last time i looked so if the alleged victims themselves arnt sufficiently motivated to remove content from their own sites that tells you all you need to know about how seriously people are taking all this.
I dont think anyone is blaming the victims - i think the lack of the kind of clearcut repercusions that you seem to want to see happen is more a reflection and acknowledgement that in our society unless you are tried and convicted in a court of law you are essentially innocent , and without a guilty verdict forever blackening your name whatever aspertions may temporarily attach themselves to JD, they will by virtue of our inate notions of justice slowly disrobe from him and in the end when all the hysteria has subsided all that will remain is the vague memory of some noise on twitter .
And really thats the correct outcome because trial by twitter does not justify any serious repercusions to anyone - wether the person set-upon is a man or a woman.

Trenchcoat's view, at least on the scenes involving Stoya, was that to remove them would harm the overall work.

This is one of the most interesting threads in the site, because it has many many different subjects for discuss...
I dunno what exactly James did and I dont want to be unfair to anyone but the way he acts sometimes can be convincing about his guilt. I mean if I was a member of a jury and I had to take a verdict, it wouldn't be nice for him. You see... I do know how easy to cross the lines is, especially when you create and maintain a certain "macho" image and have several male and female fans to support it. These lines become even more blurred when you often hired to play the role of the "rough" perpetrator, a role which you might risked to play it beyond the camera lens. But, what happens in the controlled environment of the porn stage should stay there and should not be transferred in your real life because it is easy to misinterpret the messages who come from your companion and become more "man" than you should be. There are women who like excessive treatment, I meat a few in my life, but you should not conclude that all women are alike. And I am not only talking about James but also about every other lighthead male performer or viewer who is trying to imitate malicious behaviors. You do not need to show her that you are a man, you just simply need to be a man, nothing more, nothing less. At least this is what I have learned until now about my relations, besides the numerous mistakes I have done.
Flac I know you are upset about James, I am too, because he should be more self restrained. But that doesn't mean we have to take the torches and burn him to the stake. The problem is a lot more deeper than him and this is what causes actually Stoya to get depressed. Besides, Stoya already took her revenge (if we are allowed to say that) and it seems was a mighty one. The bad thing about this case though is that it had many collateral victims and I am not only talking about sweet Chanel Preston, James current companion, who is taking of course the side of her mate, but in the end she is not to blame about anything. There are even more serious implications. The viewers don't care much about what is going on behind the cameras but the female performers do, especially the new ones, who are reading what is going on and they start to doubt about their decision to join the biz. And this is serious. Very serious! I really think that the industry needs an urgent face lifting to react to these accusations. I don't know exactly what it could be. Perhaps Stoya's vision is more appropriate than ever. I think it is time to become a little more human, more pure, more realistic, more sensual if you like. It is not about hardcoreness or intensity or even extremeness of sexual actions it is all about final presentation.
Now about James. I think he has no other option. He needs to come forth and apologize. Especially to his ex gf Stoya. For both persons sakes. He can say something like this: "If I did something wrong to you I am really sorry. I lost control and I fucked up." and she should be very honest with her about why he did that in order for her to understand that it was a mistake and he is not devil in disguise. This is the only way to save his image and the industry.

Meanwhile... Explore Sexuality!

That quote says nothing about the context of the incident. Just from that article, we don't know if that was something that happened on set on in his personal life (the only thing they say about the question is "most interesting sexual experience"). And it says nothing about what he did after he tied her to the water tower, so the threatening to leave her is just an assumption on your part. Truthfully, it sounds like something he could have done for one of the couple of Kink scenes that he shot outdoors.

What I find most amusing about this situation is that FlicFan is making a bigger issue out of this so called event than Stoya. Just for shits and giggles tonight and even though I don't see the big deal about Deen as a performer, I'm going to watch 3 different Deen scenes from 3 different companies. I encourage my porn viewing compadres to join in and have their own Deen mini festivals.

JD has been in the biz for 12 years and has made over 2000 scenes. I would expect that he has established enduring relationships (freindships) with people over that length of time and that those people are just sitting tight waiting for the hysteria to subside and continue business with him as usual in due course.
I wasnt impressed the way Kink leapt to disassociate themselves from him - i can understand why them did it to deflect the tide of critiscism coming their way as witnessed by Nikki Blues accounts (Nikki was a virgin who got non consensually anally fisted by Princess Donna a Kink Director)
Aside from JDs work schedule I would be interested in knowing if this has impacted upon the demand for the services of the female accusers involved (those who are still active). The wisdom of hiring performers who so willingly engage in this kind of public mudslinging and who are liable to blow out of all proportion simple harmless misunderstandings such as occured in the Kink communal bathrooms (ashley fires) is obviously a judgement call for the individual producers, but it is a consideration - nobody wants to hire a hysterical blabbermouth and wake up to damaging twitter speal.

Ben, don't presume to speak for all men, because you don't. Just check the 'recently retired' thread to find loads of male posters here caring when certain performers retire or many other threads where male posters express excitement when a performer returns from a hiatus. Hell, we've seen some people get outright pissed when a performer like Alina Li retired 'early.'

The fact we live in a world that an uninvited cock in the ass can be dismissed as a harmless misunderstanding, makes me think that Weinstein asshole might be right. If this is the state of the porn industry, maybe it should be shut down.
I'd rather go without another new scene of porn ever again than to accept ^ that bullshit as harmless.

AHF as an organization does good/great things for people who have HIV and some people at risk. But between the condom crusade and his crusade against Truvada, I thoroughly believe he's the wrong person to be leading that organization.

Well, I have mixed feelings about this.
I do not doubt Stoya's but some things doesn't add for me, in my world if someone is rapped, there's usually a policial investigation, and depending on the case most ends in a court room, here we only have some accusations from one part and silence from the other wich is very odd.
Why she did not press charges against him?, only Stoya can explain that part, why JD did not sue her in return if this is all false?, only he knows the reason.
Asking for a public internet execution is not fair, we are not judges nor juries to tell without all the facts, and this story has lots of gapes in it from all the parts involved, and anything we can think around is only a theory, not the real true story of what happened between thos two.

Your world sounds nice. In the real world the opposite is true. Regardless of who's numbers you want to use, the majority of rapes and sexual assaults go unreported to the police, and even fewer are prosecuted.
I haven't seen anyone asking for an internet execution, but just out of curiosity if I was to ask for such a thing what would be the end result? It seems unlikely that he would be executed in any sort of literal sense, so what should one expect from an internet execution?

In the real world (not your world), most rapes go unreported, people do not believe them, and very few get a police investigation and end up on court mostly because people don't believe them or dismiss the victim. (which is why most victims don't come forward).
The argument "why didn't she report it sooner" or "why didn't she charge him"... is a decades old victim blaming defense and has been proven to be a worthless argument for well documented reasons. It is sad that people still trot those lines out when questioning these claims. If you don't believe her (or any one else), that is your choice. Just use better reasoning than a discredited argument that doesn't hold any water.

Honestly don't know what world someone is living in that is surprised most rapes aren't reported. That hasn't been news since the 70s. I guess ignorance is no reason to not have an opinion on the internet.

It would cost him >$100,000, there is probably a very poor prospect of actually being able to collect any significant amount if he were to obtain a money judgment against her, and very few of the members of the public who have already decided that he's guilty because they always knew there was something shifty about him, or because they really like Stoya's public persona which they have no way of knowing bears any relation to her private persona, or because all women who claim rape should be unconditionally believed, or because it's just so much fun being part of the Twitter pitchfork mafia, would be swayed at all if he were to win at trial.

it is crazy how many people still defend\ support him on here. it really is a mans world. 12 women have either accused him of some sort of rape or abusive behavior. that is more then a coincidence or sour grapes. also it has been already said i am sure but the reason no police investigations , unless a women reports a rape or assault that night it is nearly impossible to prove\convict. by the time a lot of women get the courage or over the shame it is weeks , months , or years.

I did not said that I do not believe her, neither i defended him, and I would appreciate that you do not put my words into a context you find confortable with, is basic ettiquette or understanding.
What I simply posted is that no matter what everyone says here, the only people that really knows what happened that day are thos two, and one of them talked way past long the event and the other so far hasn't spoke anything regarding those accusations.
BTW, In my world,( which is the real one) I have a few friends in the police department and law/social divisions so I know what I'm talking about, and there are people that doesn't denounce for several reasons, but the majority of victims talks to the force one way or another, and they do not take lightly these kind of matters, In yours I do not know how thing works.

I'm talking about mainly the EU, North Merica zones, in some countries like India or Pakistan rape is another story.
An my coment about an internet lynch mob is quite explanatory, there are lots of coments on people taking sides on a story based simply on personal simpaties.
Usually if thing are serious like these, a discrete investigation can be done, and "if" that happens, lawyers follow suit pretty soon.
The fatcs is that qe only have an internet accusation from one part, silence for the other, and everybody now is an expert on the matter, all this uproar has made someone guilty just like that, perhaps is true in which case he deserved the ignominy and more, but if not........ No one should be punished unless proven guilty, is that all what I wanted to say.

Not true. He denied the accusation the day after it came out on Twitter, and then denied it again in an interview with Aurora Snow later. Because there's no real evidence he can bring that he didn't do it (the video he showed to Aurora wasn't evidence of anything except how that scene played out on that day), any other time he talked about it would just be him repeating that he didn't do it. Which probably isn't going to change anyone's mind.

It is studied fact that the majority of rapes and assaults are not reported to law enforcement. This is irrefutable at this stage of our society's development. You can chose to disbelieve that if you wish; however, it is the fact of the matter.

An interesting article to read for those who have an academic subscription and are interested in more than winning a message board argument. What's interesting is that the study oft cited in the United States is based on survey data that is 20 years old and that the method they chose to perform the estimate is questionable. It is an estimate after all if things are not reported. Do they still hold true today?
Edited because I forgot to link the respective articles....

^ I think that is pretty well known, obviously it is hard to track and quantify something that is under-reported. And self-reporting surveys dealing with sexual issues (which by definition are always going to be self-reporting) are going to be flawed and provisional.

^Remember, Evil Angel is only a distributor (except when it comes to Stangliano's own work). Directors cast talent, so unless the scene not only featured Deen but was directed by him, your problem is not with Evil Angel but with the director of that movie. I don't know what the scene is, but it's also possible that it was shot before Stoya went public with her allegations.

Rocco is the director. Slutty Girls Love Rocco #9. Dont know how long it takes for them to put their finished work out, but Deen has been on EvilAngel(Via Rocco) twice since december 30th. Well, at least that puts Rocco on the No-Go list. Even if he made the movie before Stoya came out with it all.
And EvilAngel has to have some say on what they put out on their network?

^Other than the usual credit card processor and obscenity worries, EA leaves directors alone. Dana Vespoli has confirmed this.
Since Stangliano and Rocco are friends, I'm going to assume that Rocco shot those scenes before Evil Angel publicly distanced themselves from Deen.

There will be many James Deen scenes that were filmed before these accusations that are still waiting to be released.

How many companies have blacklisted him to date? At least 3 right? Someone must be keeping track of this. Also, has anyone been following him on Twitter? Has he lost followers? I figure that even despite all this, he must have gained hundreds if not thousands of more followers.
Since it has been over 2 months now, I'd be interested to know what his total follower count was at the end of Nov to compare with where it is at now. Also, how have sales been for his movies or those featuring him prominently?
I don't claim to be an expert, but it seems guys like Manuel and Lex can typically churn out 3 or 4 flicks every 2 months. I wonder how the sales of Deen's last 4 flicks have fared.

I completely agree.
I don't believe him and I hope his career in porn is over. His image has been seriously damaged and it would be in the porn industry's best interest to avoid him like the plague, because his image as an unpleasant person will rub off on any company that still hires him.
