Still with that same smug look on his face. Arrogance and money buy you a lot of white wash. I'm hoping BLACKED does NOT use this guy again. That'll be yet another DVD I will not purchase from them.

Didn't realize he was so short or at Chanel is wearing some 4" heels or something because she is even bending over it looks like in video. But anyways like I said in a previous post he'd either keep a low profile if he was smart or do the exact opposite which was: "On the other hand it might be in his best interest to keep acting like his normal cocky self and show up and act like nothing ever happened or anything is different than any other year?" Edited by - daviangel on 1/16/2016 4:32:48 PM
To be slightly fair, he's kept a low profile for the past 2 months. You couldn't expect him to keep doing that forever. Not to mention him (and Chanel) being nominated. All that being said, it probably would have been a good idea not to go because Stoya was hosting the award show.
NO SHIT! This world is full of idiot, simple-minded, and timid people who are politically correct all to the damned!!! I was accused of sexual harassment once and I screamed to high heaven that I didn't harass anyone. You don't keep a "low profile" if you did nothing wrong. This is America after all where we love to forgive and forget. Given some time, keeping a "low profile", that stupid smug smile, and some short memories, he'll be back in the adult industry sooner or later.

Ha ha just reminded me of a Doctor Who quote in a recent episode where he says: The Doctor: It's the human superpower: forgetting. My own corollary to that is: smart people that usually have superior memory also suffer from higher rates of depression because they remember all the stupid shit people do. So are you saying that JD going to the XBIZ awards (not keep a low profile) is an indication of his innocence ?
^ That's not at all what I said.... I SAID that he should be exclaiming, and rather vocally, that he is innocent and does not hurt or abuse women. This is still America and he can show up wherever the hell he likes.

He was accused of rape, so that is what he should be proclaiming innocence about (if that is what you think he should do).. His porn career is built on hurting and abusing people (consensual in scenes). He can't really say "I don't hurt or abuse women" Just a small correction for you. Honestly, keeping his mouth shut other than one interview was smart. It already is starting to blow over and drift away from people's minds. I am not saying that is right; it is how things are playing out. Edited by - Canadian_Cindy on 1/17/2016 4:11:50 PM

How is this case coming along? Blown over? Was really distrubed hearing about this around christmas time. All i can find is jezebel articles. And reading those and its comments gives me cancer.

^^ ^ I too do not side with him and I totally do not think that companies should hire him, however that's just me and though I won't watch any scenes he is in, nothing should prevent him from shooting for companies or his site as long as he is with in regulations. This sounds like a harassment complaint designed to bury his shoots and kill his ability to work, because this group doesn't, to my knowledge, arbitrarily go after people without tips. Curiouser & curiouser. Boycott James Deen, Silicone Is Evil, Razors Aren't Much Better
Jay Taylor shot her first anal scene with him as a content trade, but I can't find anything about him shooting for/with anyone after the accusations other than that. And as far as I can tell, every blog post he's made about shooting scenes since he started blogging again is a scene from before the accusations came out.
If nothing is done he'll just continue to think he can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants. This isn't a problem systemic to the adult industry.

Michael Weinstein AHF and the fed OSHA are a problem for the porn biz as they seek to impose rules that would severly restrict it , and with that ever present threat any airing of porn biz dirty laundy in public just strengthens the hand of those that would decimate it.

I wonder why Gloria Allred hasn't stuck her beak into this mess.
She needs to be approached before that happens. And this sort of spotlight on the adult industry as a whole if she got involved would be a massive problem. I mean super sunlight highlighting everything and everyone. Real names and such could get out due to public record. Yeah, could be a massive problem.

It's like throwing fish guts in the water behind the boat. Eventually the censorship sharks will smell blood. They would have better luck fishing in Texas or Florida, than California. I wonder how Max Hardcore is doing these days? I wrote to him while he was in prison.
Porno Dan got raided a couple years back right after they passed that LA County condom initiative, IIRC.

It's been bugging me for the longest time who he reminded me of, and this is in no way a matter of resemblance but of the way i saw him, the way he acted on camera and the arrogance he had. It finally cleared. He's Marc Wallace. Edit: And I thought that from the first time I saw him in a scene. Is rape on the same level as willingly giving people a virus that leads to death?( drugs back then were far more limited in scope, it was a much worse situation that it is today). That opens a whole other discussion!

The world is pretty quick to forgive. I remember reading reports that Cosby was still playing to sold out theaters in the wake of the first major headlines breaking about his scandals and allegations. It was months into the controversy too. In time Deen will be forgiven, unless he does something even more stupid.

^ If any of the allegations are true, and if nothing more comes of them moving forward, then I would be shocked if he doesn't continue his behavior. If anything I'd think he'd be even more emboldened to continue. Why should he stop when it's pretty clear that there are no real consequences for doing it even when he does get caught?

I have a profound repulsion against real life rapists for personal reasons. However, this case is a lot more complicated than some might initially think. I might risk to fall into a bottomless trap making vague assumptions about an incident that I don't know, yet I will dare to add a few lines based mostly on their "public" character as well as the history of this pair. Now I don't want to believe that James is a total creep. I think that behind the scenes he is a lot more friendly and tender than he looks like. I think he is just wearing the cloak of "Cristian Grey" and pretends the man above all women. Now, is not necessarily bad or illegal and many girls like that kind of behavior. That is why he continues to play with fire. But it becomes dangerous when you are crossing the lines and hiding behind the mask you cannot discrete what are you really burning. Because among the sticks you might burn something a lot more volatile. And Stoya happened to be the fuse for a nuclear reaction! I am afraid that James didn't just raped Stoya physically, he raped her psychologically. He didn't penetrate her feminism, he penetrated her entire world. And that is the most dangerous thing you can do to a person like Stoya. Stoya is a woman with the looks of an angel, the wit of an artist and the fragile psychology of a teenager. What happened between them left many wounds to her and I honestly don't know who or what will heal them. Call me whatever you like, but I would dare to say that probably James himself is the only one who can! Now, I will not try to analyze the incident. I will though mention the implications. I dont want to dramatize the case but as you can see for yourselves the clues show that Stoya is going for permanent retirement and emergency exit. She doesn't want to have any relation with the industry and she is really bad state. I dunno about you but I really don't want the name "Stoya" to have an end like this! She doesn't deserve this!

Why are you saying "if any of the allegations are true" and then making an assertion based on the premise that he was caught? How is this clear at all "even when he does get caught"? No real consequences even when he does get caught? Huh? There have been real consequences already even though he wasn't caught, but just based on the accusations. Did the companies that publicly condemned him and announced dropping ties with him publicly change their positions and I just missed it or something?

^ That scamp. Boycott James Deen, Silicone Is Evil, Razors Aren't Much Better
I haven't been inclined to visit this thread since before this post ^. So I'm just now catching up. You're saying that Wikipedia is to be scoffed at because it's not 100% unerring, but then others go on to say that no source is truly objective. So uh... doesn't that simply mean you aren't really saying anything about Wikipedia? As MissPornUSA says, they couldn't be considered more or less veracious than other sources of in formation in general. What I think Wikipedia does represent is the largest collection of annotated information and citations to active sources we have available to us. So let's stop with the impossible expectations of veracity and "objectivity." I mean, it sounds like the skepticism of "do you believe everything on the internet?" I am as healthily skeptical as the next person, but at the end of the day, you have to rely on information from someone else at some point. It's not perfect, but I'd say 99% of the time, the information I get from Wikipedia is credible. I honestly can't think of any time when I personally needed to use it for information and was led astray by some charlatan's entry. Have you been? How serious was the misinformation? Could someone muck around with an entry? Of course. It's been known to happen. But instead of dismissing altogether so casually, perhaps you should look specifically at the entry in question and tell us what is so misleading or skewed? It's decided that you can't refer any of us to a better source, or even a comparable one. If you could, then couldn't someone else just as casually dismiss it as biased? This is silly. Let's get into the entry specifically.
