It was brought up before that there is a range and variety of credibility among the women who have come forward.

She specifically says:
"Fuck" is a many-nuanced word. It could mean "have sex." It could also mean "do wrong onto/have revenge on."

Well I already see one major flaw in this in that if I read correctly some of the alleged assaults happened off the set so there would be no record of them anyways?

Also, it's fairly common for victims of rape and trauma to try to keep acting normal around their abuser and/or pretend it didn't happen, especially if it's someone they work with and fear repercussions from trying to avoid or accuse.

A few come to mind:
Caroline Pierce's unofficial "first anal" was in Rear View 2 with Ramon Nomar. She said later on her old Formspring account that it was not planned or discussed in any way and that she only let it happen because she's a pro and didn't want to stop the scene.
Then there's Chris Strokes and all the girls that he's tried to get some anal from during his Bangbros scenes. There's Noelle Easton, who clearly says on camera, "I don't like anal or butt stuff," before he sticks it in anyway. He does it again later on followed by an abrupt cut. His scene with Rylinn Rae is worse in some ways because I'm not sure that she ever says "No" but she's clearly annoyed when he keeps sticking it in her butt multiple times and she keeps pulling it out or pulling way. There's also an older anal scene with him and AJ Applegate where she gets him to switch to vag near the end after doing anal for a while, but then he puts it back in her butt anyway and she's clearly in pain.
The worst one that I've seen is one of Julie Cash's anal scenes (I don't know who the performer is but it's the one from Monster Wet Anal Asses) (Edit: it's Jon Jon) where they actually left in her shouting "Enough!", then pulling it out of her butt by wriggling away from the guy's dick and manually putting it in her vag. Then he puts it back in 15 seconds later anyway, and when she reaches for her vibrator he keeps batting her hand away and choking her. There's also a mid-scene anal creampie that doesn't look like it was planned either, It's not hard to see why she left the industry at one point.

^ Kylie Ireland described a similar scenario on a Jim Powers set. Difference being, Amber had Kylie's back on that set.
I still would question Casey's assertion that if all male performers who crossed the line were blacklisted, there would be no male talent pool. Derrick Pierce started in 2004, just like James Deen. On camera, he has performed many of the dom roles in rough sex scenes that Deen has. Off-camera is another story. Not only did he try to stop Deen in the scene he directed with Lily, but Chanta-Rose, who has come up for Stoya, IIRC, says he is the best and most respectful male performer there is.
As well, in over a decade, the only genuinely negative thing I have heard about Derrick (he can be a wiseass on BTS and on radio with Kylie, but that is just hamming it up for the audience) came from the guy hiding out from extradition in Thailand, and that was that Derrick stood by ChristianXXX when said expatriate from extradition hiding in Thailand ran his mouth about Christian.

Off the set rape isn't a porn-problem. It's a crime problem for the police to deal with as they normally deal with any crime.
And it's also a security problem that the facility owners and the organizers are responsible for. They are the ones to sue for a lot of money, if they don't provide adequate security.

In regards to your first point, I think it 's worth quoting Casey in full: "I’m not allowed to say that ostracizing every male performer who’s crossed the line with a female performer would lead to a business with no male talent. I’ve lost track of my own stories." Note that she does not contextualize the first sentence as referring uniquely to her experience. She only adds that she's lost track of her own stories. I think she's saying that besides her own personal experience, there are plenty of stories floating around in the industry - stories that she apparently regards as reliable - of male performers crossing the line.

Yes. That is Kylie Ireland for you. That is why she is the one and only Kylie Ireland, unique, inimitable and irrepressible.
That being said, it is important to remember her preamble/caveat:

Point taken.
However, if these are stories she has heard, it is still second-hand information. It is similar to Laurie Penny of Time hearing that Amber Rayne had commented on this situation, the difference being that Casey, to her immense credit, did not do what Penny did for Time and turn it into a specific falsehood about a specific individual being raped/sexually assaulted when the very same specific individual publicly said exactly the opposite.
Still, it is enormous to say as Casey does that "ostracizing every male performer who crossed the line would lead to a business with no male talent." She is implying that every male performer has crossed the line. The category of "every male performer" includes decent guys against who there is no credible evidence, or even any report/rumor/allegation/twitter-Court of Star Chamber accusation of impropriety.

why do you need it locked? if you don't like the thread, I would suggest you don't enter it. Pretty simple, there are dozens of active threads for you to chose from and enjoy. I don't think you need to be calling on moderators to lock threads you don't personally like. The best solution is self regulation and read what you enjoy and ignore what you don't enjoy. There are too many diverse people to expect all the threads to fall within your personal interests.
So, why are you still reading it?

Some of you guys need to douche every now and then because you have way too much sand in your vaginas. You might want to get hobbies or something because the excessive dwelling on this subject is just tireseome. The most telling aspect of this issue indicating that there might be some truth to the accusations is that 2 of the biggest companies; Kink and Evil Angel, have cut ties with the guy. Just because some girls are standing by the guy doesn't mean he did or didn't do, it just mean "THEY" haven't been privy to his alleged misbehavior. On one hand Casey Calvert could be reliable, but on the other hand her excessive, "I'm not allowed to say this" or "I'm not allowed to say that" rant becomes just that, a monotonous rant, kind of like half the posts on this thread.
The only one without credibility in this case is Farrah as she clearly comes across as one looking to stay relevant, but OTOH, she'd be the ultimate target of an attack because, she's on record as being full of shit on previous issues so who'd believe her.

Of course you would, to the surprise of no one.
The lengths you go to in your rape/sexual assault denialism should be an example for misogynists everywhere.
Bringing up unrelated cases, bringing up unreleated news bits (like with Kross), implying that women are lying (all the eight of them and counting) and on and on it goes with the justifications and excuses. Give it up already, this isn't the 1930's anymore where old white men decided the protocols for a women to speak up.

It's the logical conclusion, one can't hide their bias even if they try.
As I pointed out earlier, most of them like what Deen does on camera and don't care about the allegations, so the 'white knighting' will continue from their side. They can care less about the trauma these women had to go through, it's all about their fantasies.

Evil Angel "dropping him" was entirely about them trying trying to capitalize on PR, and not a decision that was really going to affect their bottom line. His DVD line left Evil Angel months ago, so they wouldn't have been "dropping" that. And there's only 2 Evil Angel directors that have shot/released a scene with him this year, and one of them was one of the first people to come out in support of Stoya (Dana Vespoli), so I doubt she was looking to shoot with him again anytime soon. And the other was Rocco Siffredi, who comes to America to shoot maybe once every couple years. So that whole announcement was basically just saying that Rocco Siffredi won't be shooting with James Deen anymore. And maybe Stagliano if he ever decides to do another season of Voracious.

A performer or ex girlfriend coming out and saying "he didnt rape me" or "I had no problem with him"......doesn't really make any case to say he is innocent.
It is highly unlikey he would have raped everyone and anyone, so using these women as reason to dis-believe all the accusers seems like a misguided way of viewing things.

Bad publicity. Even though they've toned their product down compared to what it once was, hiring a man who is widely known to be an alleged rapist to perform in content that is already inherently controversial would not be a smart move.

Not to mention that at the point at which their statement was made, one of the alleged incidents had happened in the Armory (since their statements, 2 more alleged incidents have been directly related to Kink). Truthfully, if what Nicki Blue said was true (about her writing about him to them and it getting deleted), they had to at least have seen/heard complaints about James at some point, and were just ignoring them because they said complaints weren't affecting business. That public accusation, in addition to what they should have already known, should/would have been more than enough for them to cut ties with him, at the very least for the time being.
And that is irregardless of the truth of any of the statements/accusations against him.

Did I strike a nerve? I do have over 3400 posts but over almost 7 years that averages less than 2 total posts a day and over 500 of those posts are reviews posted here. I'm not implying anything, I'm saying it outright. If someone is posting as often as some of the posters in this thread are, this is their social life. You have guys doing some serious research digging up obscure porn facts about something that happened or was said 10 years ago to help in their debate with other people about something that may or may not of happened to some people that they don't even know, and then they write 10 paragraph essays on said topic.

No nerves.. just found it a bit odd that an active poster would criticize other active posters for their frequency in posting. Message forums are a place to talk about things. You see very often on forums of all kinds that people will often say "get a life, you have no life, etc etc" if they don't like or agree with someone. I was simply pointing out that is not becoming of you. I have seen your posting and you can do better than that.
If people want to write 10 paragraphs on something they know nothing about, let them. I always say "don't read a thread or a post if you don't want to". :)
That's all.

I'd like to point out that talking only about problems, without any mention of possible solutions, is a way to lose hope and give up. And that's where this discussion about rape in porn is heading.
Any given problem you can see either as an opportunity to learn and improve. Or you can see it as an obstacle that makes you give up. And it's for you to decide how you will see it.
If we just say that rape and rape accusations in porn is a problem and leave it at that, then porn will head in the same direction as the mainstream society. Men and women will stop trusting each other. And this will lead to a lot of lost opportunities.
There is so much distrust between men and women in the mainstream society that now there are record numbers of single people, both men and women, who don't have any relationship for years and years. And that's where porn-making is heading, if this distrust between men and women is allowed to linger and stay.
Both men and women will stay away from porn-making, just in case.
I wouldn't be surprised if all of this controversy about rape in porn has made all the male porn-stars feel so insecure that now they can't get an erection going for their porn-ladies.
What's badly needed here is trust-building measures that increase trust between men and women in porn, rather than leave things as they are.
The big problem now is lack of trust between men and women in porn, regardless of whom you choose to believe or disbelieve.

It's not a question of "if you don't like the thread," although I'm sure that that's the way someone with your vast ADT experience might see it
Rather, I am concerned about the extensive number of industry people and talent that have been, and continue to be, pointlessly dragged through the mud here.
And, for what?
So that a few posters can continue their personal "did not/did too quote war"?
We've been down this road before, these threads always reach the point where they become more destructive than informative, and, finally get locked.
Like this one, for example:

Love this! I don't see " I had a great experience with James so he can't be a bad guy" relevant at all. Honestly i don't care neither about what Farrah says,a person with zero credibility and an attention-seeking attitude nor Lisa Ann -who stands beside her "friend" lol-

I agree with your assessment, even though I think the industry itself is part of the problem, by encouraging the male talent to be rough and not looking out for extremely vulnerable young girls who are too afraid to say no, and who often have nobody watching their back in these scenes. Like this latest girl who described Deen choking her out while Joanna was out shopping. Angel and Deen both acknowledge Deen was abusive to her, yet she goes out and leaves a girl who has never done a scene before alone with him. That's just stupid. I also think fans are complicit by seeking out and demanding harder and harder content. Countless threads on this board are about how these viewers love when the girl is geniunely uncomfortable, bleeding from their asses, etc. I think anyone who gets off to girls in genuine distress has problems.

What? Have you seen any of the rough gangbang scenes at Kink? They are explicitly rape scenarios. Very, very rough rape scenarios. It is extremely easy for a male performer to go too far, especially when the girl is known to enjoy very rough sex, as many porn girls do. This issue brings out people that are hardcore on one side or the other, but to me there are many hazy areas and various levels of blame.

Character testaments are used by people who:
1. Do not understand how crime or law works.
2. Protecting a guilty person.
Good people sometimes commit crimes in the face of mostly good character traits. The idea that a criminal is a ubiquitous horrible person is silly.

Do you think it's try to seem normal to reply to a tweet of a person since he wasn't talking with her? It's not like when two persons are in the same room. It would have been much more normal not saying anything at all. Especially in this case.

Would have been nice and more honest if you had quoted the complete paragraph.
Never denied rape/sexual assault happens. In fact, in my very first, unedited post on this thread eight days ago, I specifically said
Kayden Kross blogged at length on this subject. The fact that she has a criminal conviction for fraud, a charge she pleaded "No Contest," as opposed to "Not Guilty", to is not immaterial here, since fraud is basically a charge of illegal dishonesty. If Kayden had been convicted of drug/traffic offenses, that would have been another matter.
I have posted, not just once, but a couple of times that the evidence, as well as her character and past behavior, indicates that Amber Rayne is not lying. I have also posted twice that there is a range and variety of credibility among the women who have come forward.

No. It is not a logical conclusion, since there is a reason why "innocent until proven guilty" exists. Will Brown was lynched and burned to death because people "listened and believed" instead of asking for evidence of his alleged "rape" of a woman.
Here is what witness to the above events Henry Fonda, not exactly a champion of traditionalism, had to say about what "listen and believe" did to Will Brown:
