Not at all. This incident came to light after Sabrina Rubin Erdely's now very well-known and very well-discredited Rolling Stone rape "story"hoax, which has a lot of people asking, "If Sabrina Rubin Erdely can make up a story about rape and get a total of zero consequences as a result of doing so, why should I be ready and willing to believe the next woman who comes up and claims she was raped?" Erdely's hoax is what poisoned the well, since her fraud is what creates, or reinforces, doubts in some people's minds when a rape is reported to the public.
Rape does occur. There is no such thing as "rape denialism/rape denialists," as some with an agenda have claimed. There is just an atmosphere wherein we do not know whether or not we should believe publicly made (as opposed to prosecutorially made) accusations of rape, thanks to Sabrina Rubin Erdely.
Also, some very significant differences between the Stoya/Denn incident on the one hand and what happened to Cytherea and Christy Mack on the other are underscored here starting at 22:10.
Again, I am not saying anything one way or another about the Stoya/Deen situation per se since I do not have enough information and I do not know enough of either of them to be in a position to comment on that situation with any authority. At the same time, it is no use sweeping under the rug the fact that false claims of sexual assault/harassment do indeed occur. One such claim of sexual assault/harassment was made against none other than extremely outspoken feminist icon Richard "the Dick Coughlan." Likewise, none other than another outspoken male feminist icon, Kevin Logan, has conceded that it is theroretically possible that women make false accusations of rape, especially when they accuse his fellow outspoken male feminists.

Saw Greg Lansky said on a Reddit AMA he wouldn't be working with him again. From the other spectrum there is X-art's twitter going full retard with a series of polls from which ever slack-jaw runs their social media.

take these 3 scenarios:
-he likes or is friends with James - In that case he will not say anything against James.
-he is neutral - In that case too, I believe no person who is part of the industry will say anything against James. At most they would say - it is unfortunate. lets see what happens but instead he kind of attacked James. Except crazy fans, no neutral person who is part of the industry will make the kind of comment he had made.
-he doesn't like James - which seems to be the case. (Pls don't counter that by saying James has worked for TUSHY)
One thing I am sure of is that there is a lot of people in the industry who dislike/hate James. And most of them are not missing this golden opportunity to kick him when he is down.
I think there should be some IQ or any other kind of test before people are allowed to sign up on twitter. Right now it is full of retards.

^ those certainly aren't the only viable scenarios.
You're implying that Lansky's personal feelings for Deen are the only thing that will dictate his behavior, and it is an utterly preposterous assertion. You might want to look up "False Dichotomy"
As far as people kicking him while he's down... So? If they're lying then they are deplorable things to say, regardless. If the accusations are true, why the hell would it matter if they come out while he's "down?"
Oh and nice work there complaining that people are anonymously casting aspersions on the internet as you anonymously cast aspersions about those people on the internet.

Also, At least I am not trying or helping in any way to destroy someone's life without knowing all the facts. That's the difference between them and me.

You're never going to have "all the facts". What we have right now is, generally speaking, the facts we're going to have on the incidents that have already been alleged, outside of maybe someone else on set corroborating an incident (for example, and I said this earlier, but what I would assume is the most recent and last anal scene Kora Peters shot with James Deen, Tim Von Swine was supposedly part of the setup). At this point, it's up to you to choose who you want to believe. If you're going to choose to wait for more facts, then you're going to be waiting for a while, because many of these accusations have been made in such a way that there's not going to be any more facts or evidence outside of the testimonies of the people involved.

^ I have no problem with people believing what they want to believe based on what is out there. But please don't try to ruin someone's life only based on those "facts". Don't attack him on twitter like you are 100% sure that he really did what they are accusing him of. Just because this might not be proved in court and we might never get solid facts doesn't mean you should believe every word that comes out of the mouth of accusers. for me that is not enough to call someone a rapist.

What I have said above about UVA and other hoaxes/shaky claims aside, I believe there is truth to what has been said here, on Twitter and elsewhere about police "not doing anything/treating the victim like a criminal."
Specifically, New York City and other police departments have been using this egg-head managment REMF-created wonder-toy officially named "CompStat," to "measure the level of crime in their city."
IRL, street cops call CompStat "FUDGESTAT," because it has been diverted as a means of a ticket-punch to an Inspectorship/Deputy Commissionership by house mouse (police REMF) white shirt careerists who will advance to their next promotion if the mayor sees that "crime is low" in their area of responsibility. In 2010, the Village Voice interviewed and NYPD Officer, Adrian Schoolcraft, who told them that the white shirts (Lts, Captains, Inspectors) screamed at ordinary patrolmen who refused to "disappear" reports of certain crimes.
Specifically,
One very way to combat the very real crime of rape/sexual assault is as follows:
1) write and keep writing your mayor/city councilman/county executive/elected sheriff/state representative/Governor/whoever controls the Parks Police and any other federal police that engage in patrol
2) tell them all to issue direct orders, in writing to every and all police chief/commissioner/deputy commissioner/assistant deputy commissioner/superintendent/inspector/captain/lieutenant/sergeant in their jurisdiction to fully investigate each and every single rape accusation made REGARDLESS of ANY impact fully investigating each and every single rape accusation made may have on the CompStat numbers/the City or County or State's image, or tourism.

"Stoya Breaks Silence on James Deen Rape Allegation: Adult star tells The Guardian 'If I don't say it now, then, when am I?' "
(AVN)
"How Stoya took on James Deen and broke the porn industry's silence"
(The Guardian)

From The Guardian piece:
[She was in San Francisco when it happened, Stoya said. She and Deen were not at work. I asked her what words she would use to describe it now. “If you hold someone down and fuck them while they say ‘no’ and ‘stop’ and use their fucking safeword, that is rape. But when it first happened, I felt numb. And I went to work the next day. And I went to work the day after that. And I did a scene with him two days after, maybe three days after, I’m not sure. Then I felt like I’d been violated by someone I trusted.” She said this was relationship violence. She said she would try to bring it up with him: what happened, what had he been thinking? He would tell her, she said, that her tears were “abusive”.
“It took me months and months and months,” she said, “over a year of months to be able to be able to call it what it was – which was rape.”]

So, you get to present your scenarios and that's it? End of discussion? You're no better than all of the people on twitter that you continue to cast aspersions upon. Get off your high horse.
But maybe you're right. Maybe all of those industry people are just going to make their business decisions based on whether they like Deen or not. Great news for him as that means his career should be completely unaffected by this incident, guilty or not.

Accusations that can easily ruin someone's life doesn't strike you as intimidating? Lives have been ruined time and time again over social media. In this case, we're seeing the consequences immediately. You've heard of the bully pulpit right? He's being pilloried as we speak and it's not going to stop any time soon. Maybe he deserves it. Maybe he doesn't. We don't know, but it's happening whether he likes it or not.
I'm sure some would be eager to reply it's only fair, and how this is a fitting revenge. Do we know she never inflicted pain on him during sex? How do we know the incident she tweeted about wasn't his idea of a fitting revenge? Every feud devolves into, well he did this, but she did this, then he did this, and she did this. Who can decide where it began?
This is why I cannot approve of revenge. Justice is not revenge.
And I am still of the mind that he may very well deserve all of this flack. He may honestly deserve worse for all we know. But I'm not assuming anything here as the end-all fact.

Yeah I agree with that. I was just saying many people are also only assuming Stoya's being completely honest. I think Lisa is taking a risk here with her statement, and an even lengthier post she put up on Facebook, in which I fear she may have to packpedal a bit. But she's a very strong character and doesn't seem like the bending type.

Problem with this is she says Deen punched her in the face-that is a physical assault. She says he then rammed his dick in her ass so hard she bled & it put her in the hospital for weeks-that even if not rape as they were doing an anal scene is at the very least sexual assault. Chico Wang was the director-well a year later he murdered his porn actress girlfriend before committing suicide, he probably enjoyed seeing that shit. Rayne obviously has issues-she is on friendly terms with the guy who did this to her, all messed up.

She's on friendly terms with him because she doesn't believe he did it out of ill intent, just inexperience (the point of the scene was to be rough, and because he was new, he wasn't aware of how rough he could or should be). And because she says that every experience she had with him after that one went very well. You can call her naive or too trusting if you'd like, but I wouldn't jump to immediately saying that something is wrong with her.

Chanel's been the president of APAC for well over a year. James was chairperson. Chanel's taken that role now as well.
Conner Habib is Vice President, Veruca James is treasurer and Ela Darling is secretary.

They're probably just going to ask Chanel to resign at this point, even though she's done absolutely nothing wrong, just to avoid facing a backlash.
Though the ironic thing is that, IIRC, they actually asked Stoya to be on the board when forming the APAC and she declined.

Only problem is he had been around for 2 years-he wasn't some newbie in his first scene. Seriously if some guy hit you in the face then made your ass bleed on purpose & put you on the shelf for some time then meaning you lose money you wouldn't want anything to do with them. She has one of those attacker empathy deals going on & is making excuses for him

Either she dumps him or resigns/is fired-how can you have somebody on a board for performers safety who is dating a guy where woman after woman are saying he sexually assaulted, physically assaulted or raped them? The fact the guy who behaviour was the 'worst kept secret in porn' was allowed to be on this board shows what a joke it is.

He's not asserting an ad hominem against anyone. The reference he made is hardly irrelevant, because the very topic pertains to our belief. There's reasons to believe, and reasons to be skeptical.
Early on people were already talking about probability of rape versus probability of false accusation. From the beginning I've said I am inclined to believe her, and I maintain this position.
But it's not poisoning the well to keep other possibilities and precedents in mind. And what he said isn't only factual, it's important. Because of hoaxes, people do doubt genuine cases, and it is sad. Sad is an opinion, but I think everyone on both sides can agree with this much.
No, poisoning the well would be like going after Stoya personally with either bad info, or possibly even true info that is still not pertinent. But because the very nature of this discussion leads us to speculate, pretty much any and everything to do with rape is pertinent, and yes, bringing up the Cosby story is fair game too, which has already been done. I think claiming poisoning the well is a bit reactionary.
Poisoning the well is accusatory or attacking.
It would have been more like muddying the waters in this case with Dodge, and yet that also doesn't quite work because he's not simply adding irrelevant info. It's very relevant. I still think the Cosby case is worse because he was accused of drugging women. IMO that's worse. There's just something incredibly low about that. Even low by comparison to rape which it already is. I know that might sound weird, but I have the deepest personal contempt for drugging someone.
But back to the Lisa Ann thing, since we brought Cosby up again, the "he has sex so much sex already why would he rape" thinking could also be said of Cosby. He's so rich and powerful, why would he resort to drugging women? So many women out there less than half his age would be throwing the pussy at him. But that seems to be the case, which is even more despicable that he'd resort to drugging them.
Did you guys see this? I wonder if it poisons the well for the Cosb:

In all honesty, it would make sense for her to recuse herself from this matter and all related items.
People won't be able to help but question her objectivity, and the integrity of the organization might well be put at risk.
(...and this from a huge Chanel Preston fan who hold nothing but respect for her...)

I didn't seem to get how that ex employee thinks that because Stoya was a drugged out and shitty boss (part of her story telling), that means there was no rape. Even drug addicts and criminals can be victims of rape and still deserve the right to talk about it.
What a mess this has turned into.
Which is more dysfunctional; the James Deen stories or the Charlie Sheen stories. hard to pick.

Amber Rayne recently addressed Hailey Page and Chico Wang as follows:
I do not know Amber Rayne personally. That being said, I have been a fan of hers for over a decade now, in the sense of both her adult entertainment work and her social media postings. She is a very multi-talented person who excels at a number of things outside of the adult industry, as well as someone who has a reputation for being thoroughly professional and kind-hearted.
As far as her having "issues" and "attacker empathy," she regularly flips off/disses assholes who give her any kind of shit on social media. She has never, as far as I can tell, been hesitant to call an asshole an asshole. Just because she is not drama-prone as many performers in the pre-Measure B era were does not mean she is any kind of pushover.
This right here says a lot about the person that is Amber Rayne. Not exactly the poster child for Stockholm syndrome.

I wish that I thought it would be that simple. I feel like people are going to argue that because she's involved with him, she can't take the advocacy of performers that are against him seriously, and they'll ask her to step down from all duties. Which doesn't seem fair to me, because it reduces her to being "James Deen's girlfriend" instead of being "Chanel Preston, female performer", but I just don't think you can get away from how bad the optics of it looks if she's involved with the executive board in any capacity right now.

What is this Fox News? 'lot of people asking'.
I bet though that believing any of the Bill Clinton rape stories is much easier for many guys here!
And I am well aware of the story, it was a complete hoax and they are very rare. A pattern has been established with Deen (and something one could have very well have guessed noticing his behavior in the videos) and has been corroborated. This is Bill Cosby type story, not Sabrina Erdely kind.

We are discussing a rape/sexual assault being reported publicly in the very near aftermath of Sabrina Rubin Erdely's hoax, which makes that hoax part of the climate that rape/sexual assault in being publicly reported in, and which thus makes Erdely's hoax relevant, as is the fact that football player Jameis Winston is suing the woman who accused him of rape and is considering
suing CNN for defamation, as is the fact that the man who Emma Sulkowicz alleges raped her is suing not only Sulkwowicz, but also Columbia University for going along with Sulkowicz.
