Do you mind explaining this a bit further? I've followed this pretty closely and I don't see how you could draw that conclusion.

James Deen reminds me a lot of TT Boy near the end of his feature performer years (before he created Evasive Angles and started producing IR movies). Him and Peter North were doing a lot of scenes for the big companies like Vivid, Wicked, VCA, etc. He was banging lot of popular contract girls and he started to really rough them up in scenes and got a reputation for being a dick because of the rough sex stuff. When asked about in an interview he said he hated the contract girls because they were stuck up spoiled whores.
So I'm thinking James Deen is a lot like TT Boy used to be. At some point he got jaded about banging these women and became a dick. But there is big difference between being a dick and being a rapist. So I'm wondering is the word "rapist" is being thrown around to easily here.
I just hope Kink.com doesn't pull the scenes he has performed in from their site. They would end up removing some of the best content on that site.

Comparing Cosby's situation to this one is completely off base. Cosby's situation is a case of revisionist bad decisions, where as this one sound fairly credible.

Sure.
It's mostly been said by others, but here's where I'm seeing it:
-pinned tweet at the top of Stoya's page -- TrenchoatX. (She's still been active on twitter since this exploded.)
-latest scene that comes up on TrenchcoatX -- a James Deen sequence with an iffy theme
-the scene remains up on TrenchcoatX nominally for artistic completeness, despite said theme and said performer's appearance in that scene
-Kross's blog post heavily references TrenchcoatX
-Cosmopolitan article -- more TrenchcoatX
(I'd never even heard of TrenchcoatX before this...but I'm sure as heck aware of it now...as is everyone...)
Now...Don't get me wrong. I get potentially riding a wave of publicity to the dollar signs, but--totally my feelings on the matter--it would appear far more altruistic without the scene remaining up there and the references being all over everything.
Maybe I'm off-base...but the thought process isn't unfounded.
(Again... Definitely not minimizing the enormity of the alleged acts--nor questioning their veracity...just feeling that there's quite possibly a capitalization aspect that's now at play...)
*I'm not going to keep mentioning this, as I don't want it to distract from the primary -- and more important -- discussion here, as it's something of a sideline item and might cause some to call into question how I feel about the larger issues...*

The reason Trenchcoatx came up during this whole mess, as far as I can tell, were people casting doubt on Stoya's credibility regarding her accusations, e.g., why did she leave the scenes that feature Deen up on her website then? (I don't agree with that sentiment, by the way). Kayden's blog post was largely in response to that specific criticism.

^^That's the pretense, but it's difficult to not see more to it than that...in total and as it's all progressing...at least for me.
Especially with all of the publicity and so much mention of the site in it...and everywhere.
Agree to disagree, I suppose.

No I do not mean that. If there is police case reported, there would be a proper follow up and procedure to investigate the situation. Twitter expose is street justice. If someone damages your house or car, you would report him to the police, you do not go to his house and beat him to death. Not a good example but I hope you get what I mean.
The best situation would have been reporting it to police. Then the other women coming forward(like in Cosby's situation) when the news picks up(or even if she had tweeted about it) would have actually been the best possible situation. Even if he was not convicted, the rape accusation will go on record which would be very relevant when another accuser reports him. I believe something similar happened with Jian Ghomeshi's case in Canada. I wouldn't have bothered to even post on a thread if that was the case. Huge fan of Stoya and Kayden. And never cared about the guy.
I came across this video while looking at some articles regarding such cases..
https://youtu.be/gfc3XIZ4Fo8?t=146
So, it does looks like you are fucked if you get accused of rape in college.

The idea that people are using "she hasn't changed her pinned tweet" as some sort of argument to undercut her motives strikes me as beyond silly. I feel like you have to work at weird logic to see this as a promotion of a site. The idea that during the course of talking about choices made the site gets talked about naturally makes so much more logical sense. And by the way the Cosmo and other pieces are just rehashing Kayden's blog post. She's just written about it in the one place and yes the site, in a pretty natural way, came up. Any other sites writing about it are just copying her words in that 1 place. A pinned tweet from week+ ago and a blog post responding to some points and suddenly this is a marketing endeavor..... I'm not buying that.

^ What the fuck is wrong with you?
Why would they be intend on ruining someone? And not just one person but lots of them coming forward now?!
My god this reeks of the same shit people said about the 50+(!) women who came forward to tell others about Cosby raping them. No matter how many women have been the victim there is always someone who thinks the girls are in the wrong. Sick, sick, sick!

I believe the porn industry is pained one of their male stars is tarnished, but unfortunately the evidence is growing. Seeing Amber Rayne mention her bad experience is pretty troubling. She has taken on some of the roughest scenes and although she ended up in the hospital she has managed to develop a friendship with Deen. Amber from what I read is not the kind to throw dirt on someone, but I feel has decided to mention the incidence to throw some perspective on how Deen is not exactly who we see on the screen.

Yes and you dont see women to do this?Women are the most complicated creatures in this planet.Haven't you seen a woman because being jealous or because someone rejected her to take revenge? You can't be in the mind of a woman buddy and you cant think for what she is able to.And if it was rape on set like stoya said then the director was blind and didn't do anything? And all this woman now they remembered to tell their stories because Stoya made the start?Or it is a conspiracy?I don't know and I'm not defend anyone.Maybe Stoya and the others telling the truth but maybe not.I don't know what really happend and I'll never know. I'm not on the side anyone neither Stoya neither James Dean. But I am suspicious and I am not a silly guy and believe everything they say to me.Thats all.Thank you.

Actually that happens all the time, so yeah, that is pretty normal. I'm glad you brought up that analogy. The punitive measures are usually quite minimal, a fine can be assessed, at worst they get banned. But they're never accused of a crime, or at least I've never heard of such a thing. And we're talking about blows to the head. Again, not only is what you describe more common, it's more dangerous, and the punitive consequences are less severe.
Definitely doesn't excuse his going past her saying no. Definitely doesn't make it alright. But it does bring perspective to the situation.
Like I said, for all we know this happened frequently in their private sex life, and while that may not be usual for us, for some freaks that is just what they are into. The whole danger element. But yeah, I could imagine him having gone too far with her before, perhaps repeatedly. So not only could what she be reporting be true, it may have been just one instance of many. And for him that just makes it normal, so in his mind it's defensible as "well that's what we're into. she knows the deal with me."
I think there's a certain level of enabling going in all relationships. Bad behavior gets reinforced. It wouldn't even be just on her part either. The industry seems to have enabled this guys bad behavior as well. But on the other hand, for him to keep getting away with it, in the presence of producers and so many other major players in the industry, and undoubtedly having developed this reputation which would be nigh impossible to hide, he must have maximum level charm for nobody to have checked his punk ass. You would think some beef happens at some point, a brawl or something. People are always looking for an excuse to fight, and James wasn't giving anyone any?
That's what makes this situation so confusing. It's like people are trying to have it both ways. It's like things are being redacted now to present this Dr Jekyll / Mr Hyde story. If everyone thought he was a monster, how'd he last this long? I swear, as of just a week before this Stoya story broke, I was still hearing porn stars in interviews talk about how amazing James Deen is. It can't be me being selective either, cuz I never ever check for this dude. His name just pops up frequently in interviews and programs like the Lex Steele Live show.
Truth be told, I have selfish reasons to actually want him being taken down, and yet I have to acknowledge how inconsistent and inconvenient the narrative is. Women have to stand up more, and everyone has to quit denying their power and recognize they are not helpless. So far nobody is coming out of this clean.

I hear you. But at the very least, if it says nothing about a pattern of abusive behavior, then it does still establish a pattern of earning the scorn of several women. Not just one or two, but several. Big names too. And clearly with Stoya he finally pissed off the wrong woman. I believe she's telling the truth, it just may not be the whole truth.

Drecksau, believing the detailed accounts of abuse at the hands of James Deen does not mean one thinks all women are saints. If you don't know James Deen then not believing ANY of them suggests you have an issue with women. There has to be a motive for a conspiracy. Why would all of these women want to bring James Deen down? It only hurts their own careers to get involved.

One woman lying about sexual assault? Maybe. Five plus victims with that number increasing by the day? I'm beginning to recognize a pattern. How about you? Read Joanna Angel's interview; it's more than evident that this guy needs some professional help...

Besides arguing what is more dangerous I was not talking about a few extra punshes I was talking about NOT stopping once the bell rings, the opponent is KOed and the referee has intervened. That is akin to saying 'no', then saying 'stop' and then using your safe word.
So no, this is actually not a common occurence and the punitive measures would not be mild at all.

By this point, does it really? It's pretty clear that Deen is paying the biggest price right now. Already being blackballed and this is just the beginning. Not feeling too sorry for him though. I see an army of his own fans, many females on Twitter, being galvanized over this. He's definitely going to be hurt the most out of this scandal, but with nothing being proven, he's going to withstand. Over time America can be a very forgiving place, even for proven offenders. It's dark days for Deen right now though.
But how would any of these other women piling on be hurt? No one can really take anything away from them insofar as their supporting stories cannot be proven or disproved. They're just getting attention, and more people are going to be checking out their work now.

as I said it is all about how easily someone gets convinced. I've made a fool out of myself so many times by believing people blindly. I am not going back and be one of that guy ever again. What Stoya said or 5 others said dont matter that much to me. I need proofs and evidence so that a crime can be proved in court beyond any reasonable doubt. If it is kind of the crime which can not be proved in court then sorry for the victim (if they really are victims) but I'd treat guy as innocent.
The justice system we have is not perfect but it is the best we could have. Anything else is much much worse.

I think I live on a totally different planet than yours. women would not have conspired to do something like this in 1515 but they are more than capable to do that in 2015. The reason you find that hard to believe is because those feminist's shaming tactics worked on you.
I hope it is not some kind of insult. I am not sure we are allowed to use word feminist in here.

See, this is what I'm talking about. Enabling. More than once she wakes up with him on top of her choking her?! If to be believed, which I don't see why not, then it just means some of these women are out of their minds.
Why would you stay with a psycho like that for so long? They like playing with fire. They give it oxygen and it burns brighter.
This has all the makings of a prime time miniseries.
But think about this now. With all we are learning about Deen, let's assume it's all true, then who here believes he raped Stoya only once?

Porn is about masturbatory fantasies. These stories are disturbing. They do not help anyone's porn sales. Yes, there are a select few who will seek out some of the scenes discussed but the majority of people reading this are not driven to sexual fantasy.

Well again, i don't think that's quite comparable unless we're talking about Deen having brutally battered her into unconsciousness as you describe. So far out of all these accounts we haven't heard anything comparable to that. Rape is awful and heinous, but when have to grant that just 1 millisecond of continued sex which is unwanted or uncomfortable qualifies as rape, well... do we have to set up a hierarchical litany of heinous offenses that vastly eclipse this in terms of savagery? I'm pretty sure he would be in prison if he battered any of these women into unconsciousness and continued beating them while they were knocked out. That's attempted murder.
We need look no further than War Machine v Christy Mack. That dude is a true savage and I don't see how anyone in their right mind could argue Deen is worse, unless there's a lot more shit we don't know yet which hasn't yet been alleged.
Now if you want to compare what War Machine did with your KO overkill boxing analogy, ok.

Now we are actively measuring what abuse trumps the others? Also, from where do you get the milisecond bs you are now spouting?
And did you not read the multiple accounts of him abusing women including the hospitalization of one???

It's interesting you say that because some of these stories actually sound like the synopsis for scenes in which Deen starred and we know many women love. And if women love it, surely there's a lot of men who do too.
50 Shades of Grey anyone?
But come on. Attention isn't hurting them. You never heard the saying "no such thing as bad publicity"? Again, these women have nothing to lose. What's going to happen? Is a producer going to be dumb enough to say "I hate that lying bitch! Raawr I hate women!" and not cast them out of some absurd misogynistic bias? Look how Lansky fielded that question. Not only is this story getting the alleged victims attention, now it's a prime opportunity for all figures in the industry to grandstand and gain attention and approval for dishing out platitudes.
Now I'm not saying speaking up and telling their story is going to net them some windfall profit or anything, but this story is the biggest buzz going in this industry right now, and just look at twitter, you'll see loads of followers being galvanized about this. It's drawing major publicity. All I'm saying is this is undeniable, and I'm not picking sides or pitching in with any camp. I'm trying my best to be circumspect.

Well duh lol
What he means is for the period between when the event in question happened and when she decided to tweet about it. This is a critical aspect which unfortunately doesn't seem to have been explored in any greater detail available to us. The timeline.
I still think it's really important to know when did this alleged rape happen, and when did Stoya and James break up? If it was at the same time, it's safe to assume this was the cause for the split. But if she stayed with him for significantly longer after it happened, it can easily suggest that theirs was likely not the most routine sex life. Nevermind their work. Their personal sexual relationship was likely more hardcore than your grandparents. It would be very unusual for her to remain in a relationship with him after this rape and for that to have been the only time he took it too far with her.

for all those who are saying that we need proofs, there's one thing that should be noticed: we can't have any proof in any case. So just think for a moment that you've been raped and you would never be able to demonstrate it. I think I would have done exacly what Stoya did. Even because I wonder how Deen could sue her for libel: it's the same, there aren't proves.
Of course, without proof it's possible that Stoya invented a story to ruin his career, but what about all the other performers are saying about him.

Kek, I appreciate you and others for being critical in your analysis here. I also think it's a low blow to call your opinion demented. Don't take it to heart. Hyperbole is the dominant language on the internet. I can't keep track of the times I see posts opening with "this is the most amazing" or "that's the most awful" typically punctuated by "ever seen!" "ever heard!" or "ever read!"
I trust almost everyone in this thread is willing to grant that either of two possibilities, or at least the main two, could be true. I trust that you wouldn't mind conceding that she could be telling the truth.
So let's assume she's telling the truth. You also must recognize that there's a daunting futility in her having reported this and seeing any substantial consequences. Assuming it's true, imagine the frustration she must feel about it. Is it really so easy to criticize her method of venting this frustration?
I can't claim to know how it feels to have been raped. Can you? Is there anyone else out there who has been raped who would question Stoya's behavior? I'm sure there must be some. But I'd rather hear from them first before being overly critical. I'm sure even if they would question her, they would still understand if not everyone avails themselves of the same recourse and formal procedures.

exactly. To say that she shouldn't have said that on Twitter instead of reporting this to the police don't have the point of view of someone who KNOWS that she's been raped (if that happened) and who knows that now she would not be able to prove anything.
If this story is true, her point of view "I can't prove anything but I have to inform those who work with him and those who consider him a feminist who this guy really is".

Yeah, pretty much this is where we are at in a nutshell. It could be true or it could be untrue. Or it could just be partially true and misleading, somewhere in between. Reality always has shades of gray.
I think it will be interesting to see how both camps sort of mirror the other. TeamJames is saying Stoya's credibility is undermined by the fact she didn't go to police. But now with this allegation being in the open, and clearly it is having the impact of defamation, a term which Deen even clapped back with, TeamStoya can say if he doesn't proceed with legal action against her, then he's basically undermining his credibility.
But how can he sue to prove something which is unprovable either way? At this point it appears he can't do anything but absorb it. And every story that comes out will hurt him, even if it's just exaggerative pile on, even if it's confabulatory, or even if it's just patently false.
I just hope the inevitable docudrama about this comes out quicker than the upcoming OJ tv movie did.
