Sorry bro, didn't mean to come across that harsh. But what someone else said, maybe stoya(or kayden) doesn't handle the tech aspect of the website.

One way to stop people making $$$ off of the back of Deen's antics is to boycott his scenes.
Unfortunately, for my part it's impossible to contribute less than zero, since I have found him unwatchable for some time now (thereby, among other things, missing some recent career-significant Riley Reid and Sara Luvv scenes).
The fact that, generally, so few rapes are reported and successfully prosecuted speaks to a wider insidious rape-enabling culture, including a large measure of victim blaming. Little wonder that pornstar victims are leery about coming forward.
Deen is some sort of hero to the socially, economically, and culturally powerful middle-aged perma-frat boy demographic - what can one say...

Boycott?
The rape freaks are out hoarding his scenes as we speak.
Deen will get $10,000 per scene, his vids will suddenly be priced at $100, and everybody be happy!

+1 God, just look at all the sycophantic responses to her twitter. Blind, unquestioning acceptance of an allegation; no apparent concern for niceties like the presumption of innocence, hearing both sides of the story before drawing any conclusions, or the right to an impartial trial; no doubts at all that there could possibly be anything the least bit questionable or inappropriate about waiting some unspecified amount of time after being allegedly victimized in one of the worst ways possible, then using a social media platform designed for the exchange of brief, vapid thoughts to announce, in effect, "I'll be offline for the next month, but oh hey James Deen raped me."

This should be taken seriously... he should be charged... he should be blackballed. Mr. Marcus got blackballed for good reason. This is worse.

It would be really nice if the "I need more than just a tweet to convince me" crowd would do everyone a favor and just stop pretending they'll ever be convinced at all.

I happen to believe her, but agree with those saying that a few twitter messages and the resulting dog-piling onto the guy, is not substantial enough evidence that the man's rapist.

It would really be nice if you stopped pretending you're a mind reader. I'm convinced that Jack Veniceis a rapist. You know why? Because the girl he raped reported the crime to the police, not to fucking Twitter. And he was arrested, tried, convicted, and sent to prison.

^That's a contradiction though. Knowing how severe a rape accusation is, too many people are already branding this guy after only a few twitter comments and this thread is only some hours old.

While I've never liked Deen since he comes across as a class one asshole, I am always leery of believing any out of the blue accusation without some kind of proof.
If he did this, she and anyone else he did it to needs to report it to the police.
This is one reason a lot of people do not believe the Bill Cosby accusations. The women waited sometimes 30 years to say anything and at the time never went to the police.

Not surprised to see the sentiment that it's not rape if it's not reported. Yes, people can be falsely accused. But the "not reported-didn't happen" argument is for pure shitstains. The ugly truth is a porn star would have an uphill battle to climb to report a rape charge. Hell even just a simple promiscuous women has her personal life dragged through the mud when she makes a rape charge. What do you think would happen if a porn star or prostitute made the claim. The way it should be, even if a woman consents 99/100 times, the threshold still has to be 100%. But, there's a lot of shitstains in this world (this thread is evidence) who don't see it that way, and that's going to be a problem for a porn star making a rape charge.

You may not be aware of this but prior evidence of bad behaviour like convictions (much less accusations) are not admissible in American courts to prove that the defendant did a similar act.

^^Again, this is one of the worst stigma's that could ever be put on a male today, and if all it takes for one to do that after a couple of twitter posts in a thread that was made a few hours ago and nothing else, then they showed their true colors which is that they're on the same level as people who automatically think anybody who claims rape is lying even if it goes to court.

Real talk though, I think rapist should fucking die a horrible death, BUT is this all it takes now is some chick to send out a tweet and then a man is automatically a fucking rapist??!! Like, for life... Like, his life is ruined... That's all it takes?

^ Sadly, in this day and age, all a woman has to do is make an accusation, and the man is guilty. Even if it goes to trial and he is found not guilty (hell, even if it is found that the accusation was a complete lie) he will be tainted for the rest of his life as the man who was accused of rape. Remember the Duke Lacrosse case?
I guess I just still believe in innocent until proven guilty, and I don't mean guilty by social media.
And I would fully support the death penalty for rapists, but the idiot Supreme Court says we can't do that.

I have followed Manuel Ferrara for many many many years. He seems like the only sane, normal person in that industry sometimes.
Manuel Ferrara was just hanging out with him recently. Look at Deen's instagram. https://www.instagram.com/p/-SuMrIoNac/?taken-by=therealjamesdeen
I think this is just Stoya frustrated for some reason and trying to destroy a guy's life.

We are supposedly fans and supporters of porn - or to be more specific, in terms of the posters contributing to this thread, 'straight' porn. I would assume this effectively means we support and value the women who perform in 'straight' porn (and, yes, this does include g/g, which is produced with the male gaze and male fantasy in mind) - without the women there would be no 'straight' porn.
While I have not followed Stoya as a performer, she is well known as a literate and well-balanced individual.
Furthermore, one of our fellow members (Gore Gore Girl), who has credibility not only as an intelligent contributor but also as a person with professional academic links to the industry, gives credence to Stoya's claims on the basis of personal conversations with at least one other pornstar.
Yet the outrage is not directed at James Deen but at the fact that unsubstantiated claims on social media could ruin this poor mans' life.
Really?
It does not take lot of imagination or empathy to see the numerous pressures and difficulties in Stoya laying a complaint with the police - mainstream victim blaming, industry backlash, social media abuse, outrage on ADT that one of their heroes is being targeted...
It does not take a lot of imagination or empathy but it does take some - hence the aggrieved tone of the hand-wringing posts worrying about how poor James is coping with this.

^Yea, although false rape claims do happen, they are so rare in comparison to real reported incidents of rape, that I question anyone whose first instinct is not to find out the truth but to actually side with the alleged rapist over the victim.

we have a problem with sexual assault/rape in this country.
we cannot solve it by attempting to brand any woman (or man) who makes an accusation of rape as some sort of crazy person who has an ulterior motive.

^^^of course they aren't. My comment pertains to credibility issues, reasons for being supportive of Stoya and querying the knee-jerk outrage on behalf of one of the bros.
But obviously all this had been prior rebutted by the impeccable evidence of Manuel Ferrara's instagram account (per TrumanBurbank's recent post).

so the question is, how many performers need to come forward before you start to believe them?
2? 10?
50?
I mean shit, close to 50 people (or is it more now, I'm tired) have come forward against bill cosby and some of you still don't believe them. He has ADMITTED to getting prescription drugs in order to give them to women, and you still don't believe them.

it's sick really.

To be fair there is only a single allegation so the alternative is a conspiracy of one and a bunch of people who trail along blindly believing an unsubstantiated accusation , on twitter of all things.
GoreGirl herself acknowledges the applicabuility of Innocent before proven guilty.
Refusing to judge a person guilty on the strength of a few twitter posts does not make them sympathisers with the accused nor make them defenders of rape , it simply makes them defenders of the notion of justice as adopted by civilised society.

I think it is no surprise
This guy, like many in porn, get this wierd sense of entitlement. THey think that because they film rough or degrading porn all the time, that every woman wants it. When a woman says no, they ignore it, because they can not comprehend how anyone could possibly not like the stuff they dish out.
Porn has built up James Deen way too much, and that has affected his ego and the way he perceives women and their desire to be with him.
I think most porn observers would consider him a piece of shit; however, the studios will continue to employ him.
He is a porn male in a sea of porn males. Not beacons of light, we should not be looking for a moral ground from porn mopes.

Although we only see one allegation here, there are also several pornstar comments in this very thread that imply that this is not an isolated incident. Now I get that we can't presume him guilty by this alone but if he is doing this he needs to be stopped. I suspect that if he is doing this, there have been other incidents that have happened within the statue of limitations time frame and hopefully Stoya's posts will help prosecute the rapes. If none of them decide to do anything then the cycle will continue. Of course if he hasn't done any of these things then bad on the false accusers. My personal opinion on Mr. Deen is I don't particularly like him as an actor although I do like rough porn. Like many others here have stated, there is a scumbag vibe the he eminates and I wouldn't mind if he never did porn again.

Right now we can't say for certain exactly what happened between Stoya and Deen, but I read an article from late last year. Towards the end of the article Deen goes into a rant about the "yes means yes" law which was enacted last year in California. It was designed to make it less difficult to prosecute sexual assaults on school campuses. I found it interesting Deen goes off about the law. [invalid URL removed]The article.

This case would be just about impossible to prosecute. A pornstar has consensual sex, and then says that her partner disregarded her safe word? The NYPD, for instance, would send her home from the precinct without even taking her complaint.

Has he tried to defend his actions or has he stayed silent about it so far? As far as I'm concerned he should be guilty until proven innocent. Rape is a serious accusation and what reason would she have to make that up? Its people that say things like "how come she didn't go to the police?" Or "why should we just believe her because she put it on twitter?" that's the reason why so many rapes go unreported. People don't just say they got raped. Of course he deserves to have his side heard but how can you believe he's innocent when the facts haven't even come out yet?

LOL The saying is "innocent until proven guilty" not the opposite. Come on dude. Women falsely accuse guys sometimes. Not every women realizes the consequences of their accusations in the moment.
He's probably hiring a lawyer right now and the lawyer will go to her and say, "You are alleging serious accusations against my client. Where is your evidence."
Now if she has evidence, then he deserves to go to jail for life.
But until then "innocent until proven guilty".

Ok now the feminazi stances are getting way out of control. "Guilty untill proven innocent" because a woman is making the claim on twitter while she still has videos of the guy on the front page of her website, and this thing supposedly happened a while ago. Saying that if this is true, JD should get the death sentence? Only looking at the difficulties of reporting rape while ignoring all the women who cry wolf and get away with it. etc. Maybe it will be proven true later but right now people are jumping to conclusions way too quickly(Case in point now I'll probably be called a woman hater who claims stoya is lying. knee-jerk reactions ftw)

Safe word isn't a punch line, and the fact that she used her safe word indicated the level of fear she felt. It is irrelevant if she had engaged in the activity 1 or 1000 time, each encounter is a new situation. Taking her at her word, and until the other side comes out, the second she says her safe word he is obligated to stop. All that being said, this is impossible to prove UNLESS Stoya has video, I'm guessing she does not either that or her feelings were/are deep enough to prevent her from using it. I seriously doubt any prosecutor not looking for a spot light would go anywhere near this case were a complaint to be filed. It appears he was "seeing red" for lack of a better term and either couldn't or wouldn't stop. Either way, he was wrong if the events are as depicted. And yes I'm boycotting untill more facts are revealed. Why? If you support the product a person or company puts out, you agree with what they do. I've been trying not to do that.

I wonder how it's possible to find any evidence of a rape when a woman for any psychological reason decides to speak after a long time.
I don't think it's possible, and I don't think that this means that he's innocent.

MOD:
The rhetoric needs to go. Using the term feminazi to describe members here is inappropriate here. I am sure that you know that this is a derogatory term which serves nothing in a discussion. Stating that many guys in porn are rapists is not acceptable either. If that is your belief then fine, but keep it out of this discussion. Baseless statements designed to mislead serves nothing in a discussion either. These types of posting need to cease now.

Well I always found scenes involving him unwatchable and as a consequence I simply steer clear. With the excessive exaltation that is blown up his backside, an obvious narcissist like himself probably can't fathom that anyone would say No to them and mean it. It does make you think of all the other known and lesser known names who must have similar or worse stories involving other actors or directors but sadly the acceptance that it is just part of the job completely pervades the industry.

I've never found his scenes to be sexually arousing. I've never supported his work and I never will.
In regards to Stoya's allegations were there other people (director, makeup artist, camera operator etc.) who were aware of her safe word, heard her use it and just stood there and did nothing while James Deen continued to bang her? If yes then I hold the production company as just as guilty. I agree that you can't throw someone in jail over "he said / she said" without proof of guilt but let's be real about this: all you need is the accusation and you might as well walk around for the rest of your life with "RAPIST" tattooed on your forehead. That's not how I want it to be but realistically that's how it is. If his name wasn't already besmirched before Stoya called him a rapist then his reputation will probably suffer even more so now regardless of his guilt or innocence. But then again there is a market for rape (rape-y?) porn. At this point in time some porn fans may love him even more (let that marinate for a while).

Heh, I always felt he was off somehow. He's actually the only performer where if I see him I'd stop watching the scene.
Now this thread pops up. I believe in innocent until proven guilty as well but at the same time I've had the same creepy vibes when it came to Jared the Subway poster boy and the dad from 7th Heaven TV show and both those dudes ended up being exposed as Pedos. Creepy.
