Paying girls extra, basically bribing them, to work with someone who has more melanin IS fundamentally wrong and racist.
As for Blacked, if they're paying girls extra then they're wrong and it's a practice that should cease as it perpetuates the notion that doing b/g scenes with Black talent is so different that it requires bribery to be accomplished.

Unless they pay more to beat the competitors and get the girl exclusively because she makes them earn more , or to get the girl for first , I don't think anybody pays more than her usual rates a girl with a few IR scenes under her belt already.

The problem is that sex with a black man is not treated by the industry as a regular b/g (as has been explained, there's a market reason for that). That is the illness. Performers getting paid more, putting off "IR", etc. are mere symptoms.

First of all, they are not girls, they are women, which is to say adults who can make their own decisions and are responsible for their actions.
Second, I think that we can assume that they are fine with working with black men because they do work with black men. So, what is going on is that they are demanding as much for their services as possible, which is no different from what mainstream actors do. Presumably, the producers are willing to pay more because they expect to sell enough product to still come out ahead.
Leaving aside what this says about society at large, or porn consumers, anyway, the only question I have is do the male performers also get paid more? If they do not then you may have a case of racism, but one can never rule out greed when analyzing what's happening in the marketplace.

That's not what's happening. No one is bribing these girls. These companies pay extra because they want the girls' first IR. Why do they do that? Is it because someone hates blacks? No. It's the exact opposite.
It's precisely because the value of seeing a chick have sex with a black guy is HIGHER than seeing her with a white guy that these incentives arise. If one company doesn't pay more, then another will. No one is paying to "bribe" chicks to do something they feel is beneath them. Most of these chicks have already dated black guys or even currently do. They just know the VALUE that 1st time IR has. I don't know how many times we have to reiterate this, but companies pay more because it's WORTH more. When something has more VALUE how are you trying to say it's racist? It would be racist if someone was saying the value is LESS. If would be racist if someone was saying we have to pay white girls less if they do IR, on account of some stigma or another. It would be racist if someone was saying pay black male talent LESS than the market value dictates, just because someone has a negative view of blacks. In actuality, DESPITE racism, all you have to do is look at the sales charts I've linked to see that value is HIGHER for IR than the typical vanilla.
You are a perfect example of the critics I was talking about who have this totally backwards.
It is not the companies dictating this practice. It is the market which is dictated by demand. There is a demand to see white chicks taking black dicks which exceeds the demand of seeing a white chick with a white guy.
This actually says that black guys in porn are more valuable, something I was pointing out in previous pages. If they were savvy enough, they could unionize and demand more. If a shrewd agency contracted all the major black male talent that is most in demand these days, which is not too many guys to be logistically unattainable for a single agency, then they could demand higher pay as well. As high as the white women in these IR flicks? Probably not, because women in general make a lot more than guys. BUT they could be making more because as has been explained repeatedly, there is demand for it.
But I somehow don't think you or these other critics who don't understand the fundamentals of how this very simple concept is dictated by the market would be saying it's racist if black guys are making more money than white guys, would you?

And is the industry sexist against men because women are paid multiple times over higher than men are paid? Is this misandry? Is this hatred of men? Are men oppressed? Economics always seems to be the root signifier of inequity or oppression. Women are commonly paid anywhere from 2 times to 5 times as much as men. Is this sexist?
NO! It's done this way not because porn companies hate men. Hell, the overwhelming majority of porn companies are owned and operated by men. They don't hate themselves.
So how is this sexist? It's not! It's just basic economics 101.
Stop blaming "the industry" and realize it's beholden to the consumers. Unless you are trying to say fans of IR or ethnic porn are racist, you should pump your brakes. The common practices of investment are all based on what sells and what's popular.

Okay I don't have a problem with you as a human being outside of porn, but I'm sorry your arguments are bs. It seems like you keep bringing up the fact that you're okay with directing/producing I/R porn and that you find the notion of some charging extra for it to be appalling as if that some how vindicates you from any accusations of racial prejudice? I mean are you kidding, do you actually live in this country? This country is littered with examples of ppl who would turn a blind eye/offer false support to another person engaging I/R activity as long as they themselves don't do it. I'm not quite seeing how you choosing to direct other girls doing I/R or refusing to pay them more for doing so is valid proof you don't personally have racial prejudice towards the matter? At the end of the day it would be another woman actually doing the I/R scenes not you, so how is you directing/producing it, proof of anything hypothetically speaking? You use the excuse that you just coincidentally retired before you had the chance to do I/R porn featuring a black guy, but come on that might be a sufficient enough excuse for your delusional racist fan base, but to anyone with even half a brain, it's just more bs excuses. Did the porn industry force you to retire before filming with a black guy? No that was a conscious decision that you personally chose to make so your legacy specifically as a performer could be seen as one that featured zero scenes with a black guy. No matter how many I/R porn films you produce/direct, you as an individual performer will always be seen as one that refused to film with black guys, which is exactly what you wanted when you decided to retire without doing so. You had plenty of chances, if you really wanted to film with a black guy, you would've it's honestly as simple as that, you're not fooling anyone who can even remotely evaluate the entirety of a situation. I love how you also actually tried to blame fans for girls charging more for I/R porn. Really? Have you ever taken a basic economics class in your life? While I'll concede the demand for bm/ww I/R porn is high, it still doesn't change the fact that the basic rules of economics tells us there can be no true demand without an equal level of lack of supply occurring BEFORE the level of demand is established. All these girls that charge more are able to do so not because of the fans demand for it, but because there are still a large amount of performers, agents, and top rate mainstream studios who still think its okay to treat black males as second class citizens, refusing to work with them, thus creating the lack of supply which then creates the increase in demand. Women who charge more for sleeping with bm get their power from the large number of top rate performers like yourself who refused to film with bm. I mean do you really not see that? If every girl, agent, and top rate mainstream studio decided to treat ww/bm scenes the same as any other, and filmed them as frequently as any other then the supply would be sufficient and the demand would not be as high, duh. Don't try to turn the blame on the fans, fan demand is a direct result of the industry producing a lack of top rate supply.
I'm also perplexed as to why you thought it was actually a valid argument to passive aggressively suggest fans who view I/R as bm/ww are the real racists? Come on stop trying to deflect the topic. There are plenty of ppl in the world who are fine with one race but prejudice towards another. I'm sick of women who try to use filming with one minority race of men, as validity that they don't have any prejudice filming with another race. There's no rule that states a person being accepting to one minority race means by default that they don't have prejudice towards another specific race. I happen to view I/R porn as anyone of a certain race/ethnicity hooking up with someone of a different race/ethnicity whether black, white, brown, or yellow. But the fact that you decided to criticize fans for their perception of what I/R porn is, shows that you know most in this thread are addressing bm specifically, so I'm not quite sure how mentioning I/R porn is more than just Bm/ww holds any bearings whatsoever on you or anyone else's racial prejudice towards filming with BM specifically? Filming with non black minority men in no way, shape, or form validates your decision not to film with black men, nor does it somehow shield you from criticism for not doing so, and vice versa. The bottomline is girls like yourself who chose/choose not to film with BM are no better or worse than the women who charge more for it. Both of you are treating the situation as if being being paid to sleep with a bm is somehow worse or more degrading than being paid to sleep with a non black male. Which no matter how you to try slice it or make excuses for it, at the end if the day is still racist ideology, end of story.

Year ago, like 10 years ago, I remember trying to hire a model for a group scene and she asked how many were black. I told her 2 were and also asked if that's a problem. She tried to get $100 extra per guy because of that. I told her no. I think that's silly. However, it's a marketing ploy by companies and because of that, it can drive the price up. We're doing it to ourselves as producers. If we treated interracial as normal, girls wouldn't expect more money to perform it.

Actually that's pretty much the textbook definition of a bribe. Paying someone money to do something they wouldn't ordinarily do. Or wouldn't do for their usual pay.
Now I don't know what the pay scale is for Blacked or other such scenes with Jules Jordan or those scenes elsewhere, but based on what's been said by Amy Reid and Olivia Austin and others, they're getting paid or offered absurd amounts of money to do scenes with Black men that they wouldn't do for the usual b/g rate of ~$1000. On the order of $3000/$4000 which is gangbang or dp levels of money.
As for the "consumer," there is demand from them, but not on the level of white b/g scenes. Because by that logic b/g rates should be even higher than they are given the demand. And if the demand was there one would have see even more such scenes instead of them being limited to sites like Blacked and a few movies a year from people like Jules Jordan. You'd see Brazzers and Bangbros do them regularly and that's not what we see at all. They're treated as niche scenes because while there is some demand for them it's not tremendous demand.
And so when you look at the women who've decided to speak out about the practice of paying more for such scenes like Krissy Lynn, Nikki Benz, and others and some directors even who realize it's wrong to pay more for these scenes since they're not physically more demanding like anal or gb's then it makes it clear that the issue isn't about audience demand or interest but a racially offensive practice that should have been stopped long ago.

^Pornstars get paid more for their "firsts" with black men because having sex with a black man is seen by the industry as distinctive from merely having sex with a man. There's no point in arguing that a regular b/g rate should apply when, on a business level, "IR" is not currently viewed within the industry as a regular b/g.

like to work extra-time?
Porn performers are people who get paid to perform a sexual act , the pay goes (or should go) according to the expected incomes , a renown star gets paid more because she makes the producer earn more, a renown star who does a first (whatever first /B/G , BBG , IR, Anal you name it) gets paid more because such first will allow the producer to earn more
A laborer of any kind when requested to perform unpaid something that would allow the employer to earn more is usually called exploited, Ir and especially first IR sells more thus allows much more incomes to the producer.to pay what's due is just fair not a bribe

But they WOULD ordinarily do this, IF the value was the same. If the value of having sex with a white guy was the same as with a black guy, then you could call it something ordinary. Then you could say it's a bribe because it's something they would ordinarily do. But the value is NOT the same. Sex with a black guy, particularly the 1st time in porn, is MORE valuable. You can't call that racism unless you are protesting on behalf of whites, which no one ever does.
Unless you are arguing that it is a racist practice against whites.
Trying to say something which has XX value only has X value is arbitrarily devaluing it. If so-and-so has sex with a black guy for the first time, that scene has a certain value. Knowing that value is all the difference. Some companies think it's 50% more than a regular scene. Some might wager 25% more. Others might wager 100% more. But the fact is almost all of them recognize there is MORE value. Insisting that there isn't is an arbitrary way of denying something's value. If you're trying to deny the value that a 1st time IR scene has, then it is YOU who are discriminating. You are undervaluing something which the majority already believe is more valuable, based on how the market responds. Even people who dislike IR cannot deny that a 1st time exclusive IR scene has more value than a white+white pair. This isn't about personal taste. It's not about prejudice. It's not about notions of superiority.
You are in effect saying, because the guy is black, her having sex with him CAN'T be worth more. But that's not the truth. The companies know it, because the market shows it.

^Even if a pornstar was having sex offscreen with multiple black men every day, that would not remove the incentive to treat "IR" differently within her porn career.

Actually one of those has to pay and of course would like to pay less, another (black male talent) would like to be paid more to do IR , the third performs very often as a dominant in BDSM scenes.
And all of them seem to be suspiciously unaware about the economics of it as if they don't know the company would earn a lot more having the girl perform IR . For example James himself said there he was seeking for first timers but didn't want to pay for it, if it was just an IR scene he could very easily hire another girl , someone new and relatively unknown for example he shot Yhivhi twice , she does IR and actually already did , plus she's with Spiegler she wouldn't charge more to perform Ir (no wonder all Spiegler girls are very present in IR productions) but no he wanted a girl who had never shot IR before , he knew it was more valuable but didn't want to pay, just that
last but not least I remember James Deen very comfortable performing those Pornstar Punishment scenes he starred in until they were attacked for being "abusive" for a while , all of a sudden he made a public announcement he would no longer perform such scenes , he found himself horrified or something like that by how they looked bad and lacked respect for women.
Of course he continued to perform for Kink
I would pick his saying very carefully , besides despite his words I'd be surprised if he reaches a solid 3% of black girls among those he worked with

Nothing in that article says he was specifically looking for girls who hadn't done IR yet. His site, in general, tends to feature girls who haven't been in the industry very long (and that's even excluding the ones who aren't in the industry at all), so his talent pool is going to include a lot of girls who haven't done it yet. And even then, all the article literally says is that two of the girls who said no hadn't done it yet, not all 4.
And I don't have any numbers to back this up, but I could probably make an argument that while a girl's first IR does generate extra revenue for the company (which is why companies fight for it and offer so much money for it), the ones beyond the first probably don't generate that much more revenue than a typical b/g scene.
Oh, and the Pornstar Punishment thing. There's a difference between having rough sex, and using rough sex to "punish" someone because they've done something "bad". His actual last straw was doing a scene where he was "punishing" a woman for being a lesbian. That was the difference between what PSP was and what Kink does. And that's not even mentioning the interviews that Kink does before and after their scenes to hammer home the point that everything is consensual.

^This is going OT, but there have been many, many Kink scenes in which rough sex was used as a punishment. Furthermore, the plot of Chasity Lynn's Hardcore Gangbang scene featured her being "punished" for being a lesbian.
Pornstars Punishment also began including interviews at a certain point, but frankly if someone is old enough to subscribe to a porn site they should also be old enough to tell the difference between fantasy and reality without the director and performers having to spell it out for them. Then again, those interviews were probably more about avoiding prosecution than anything else.

That, I think, is a rather incorrect description of the PSP thing... I don't agree with Deen about his arguments why PSP scenarios were so much worse than Kink scenarios, or at least I would argue that it always depends on the specific scenario. But I see no reason to accuse him that he wasn't actually following his own instincts/feeling there instead of an agenda or trend coming from somewhere else.

Just to make a point, PSP didn't start including interviews until after James left (and came back because they let him have more involvement in the plot of the scene).

Reading from that article, using IR to stretch a career has to be one of the stupidest things anybody ever came up with. << Hyperbole.
All you do by waiting to shoot IR later is postponing getting your money. I'll explain and I hope I don't confuse you. Waiting to do different acts with white guys or with black guys can stretch your career. Say a girl gets into porn and only does vaginal, she gets to shoot for a company that also shoots a lot of anal, but since the girl is new, they will settle for vag only. She gets one scene, let's say for $1000. If she did anal at that point, she will get that one scene plus her anal premium. But she waits and a few months later she adds anal, that same company wants an anal scene from her, so they call her again, she got two scenes plus her premium for anal, so over $2000.
By waiting a bit before doing anal, she just got herself a new scene and another paycheck. And if a company won't hire girls that don't do anal, then the same explanation for IR below holds true for anal as well.
That same girl gets into porn and shoots IR from the beginning, let's say blacked hires her and she asks more for her IR scenes, she gets her regular rate plus her premium for IR, she just got one scene. If she waits 10000 years and decides to shoot for blacked, it is still that same scene. No new scene were created. It the same opportunity she had in the beginning and she just decided to postpone it, whereas the other acts mean brand new opportunities.
Now of course a girl can shoot more than once for the same acts for the same company. The point I am trying to make is that anal scenes or DPS or DAPS etc creates new work opportunities, IR just does not.
I am not talking about the premium you get for the first anything here because that would make even less sense if people actually waited just for that first premium, the articles states it is about $2000, and if they are to be believed, wait 5 years to make an extra $1000 for one scene, pure genius.
That makes me ask if girls are not refusing to do IR for other reasons and we the fans are just being fed BS.

The premium for a first is more than $1000 for the majority of female performers (one of which has already come into thread and stated that she turned down a $4K offer to wait until later). The idea of it is that the longer you hold out, the more popular you can become in the industry at large, which will increase what companies are willing to offer you.
And one of the things we're starting to see companies/producers say is that they aren't going to pay an "IR rate" above the standard boy/girl rate (outside of firsts).

I implied he had an interest for saying so rather than following an agenda , he foresaw what was coming and pulled out loud from there to distinguish his "brand" from that . I'm not criticizing him for that, he did that in his best interest, I see nothing wrong with that.
I'm aware that kink scenarios and PSP set-ups are very different I'm also aware that PSP was staged but that at kink still shows degraded women.
I'm not against it mind you , it's role playing and I'd defend kink's right to keep shooting their stuff.
My point was this time he's a director and producer himself whose best interest is to earn as much as possible anything making him doing so would do i.e. paying less the stars and sell more his stuff.
That complain of his fits both

The performers are posturing. It's all about PR and PC. The practice literally monetarily incentivizes girls to do IR. It's not the industry to blame. It's not the performers. This all is a result of inordinate demand as dictated by the consumers.
Who in their right mind is going to just throw away money for no good reason unless consumers justified it? The market justifies it.
This would be like complaining that black athletes on average make more. Well yeah they make more, because it's what fans want to see. But no one in sports is posturing like it's a big scandal that these ball club owners are paying their black superstars so much. No one is saying how unfair that is.
The money goes where the fans/audiences/consumers put it. Smart studios and club owners are only investing in a smart way that they believe their supporters will reward, whether that's sports fans or porn fans. Probably a lot of overlap there too.

He did though
and
In both cases it was a first and he knew, the second his statement is used to compare the rates for firsts on a stardom point of view
If he wanted to shoot just an IR scene why didn't he hire a girl who already does it? He went to those who never did instead , yet he wasn't looking for more profitable firsts?
and I completely agree on the second part , but the whole article is stressed on firsts , to either stretch a career or in a planned career we have no figures about who regularly asks more for every IR she does , if any especially because those who are the most consistent as IR performers are spieglergirls who don't charge more even for their first IR.

It's not so cut and dry. For some girls it can prolong a career or at least give it a shot in the arm. For some, yeah it just means they're just putting off making money, having a bigger fanbase, and not working more often. If a girl's career is starting to fade then holding off on IR can be the thing that makes fans and directors interested in her again. Then there are girls who maintain their popularity and doing IR doesn't have much affect. There's no set formula for this. It all depends on how the girl's career is going and what she wants from it.

^ Do you know any pretty white girls that IR fans don't wanna see in an IR scene from the beginning of their careers?
What interest is there for girls to do IR after a few years into their careers that they did not have in the beginning? Not much, the level is pretty much the same as far as I can tell.
Also, directors become more interested when girls add IR to their cards because they can now book said girl for IR. Adding Ir to a girl's card does not make any directors hire her for more white on white, anal, dps etc. So no, IR does not do anything to anybody's career by either prolonging or giving it a shot in the arm after a few years, the girls are just getting money they should have gotten from the beginning.
I have no comment for girls who don't do IR because they don't need it. My point was for those who use it to stretch their careers.

Back up a little and look at the larger picture. Porn is a job, and we all like our job to last, and to provide a steady income. There is some demand for the new girl no matter what she does. If she does everything at once all that demand gets satisfied at once (more or less) and her earning curve resembles the start of a roller coaster ride - rising sharply at the beginning the rapidly falling away to almost nothing. On the other hand, by parceling out what fetishes she 'covers', a performer can change that curve so that it isn't as steep, and the trip back down to nothing isn't nearly as fast.
Sure, maybe her gross income comes out the same either way, but her taxes sure don't.

No, because IR fans want to see every girl do IR from the moment they start doing porn. So that means those fans will usually always be there and a girl can capitalize on them when her career is fading and she needs to give it a boost further on down the line.
Many girls can maintain a strong career doing just white on white porn. Many girls have more than enough work shooting only white on white porn and there isn't a strong need for them to shoot IR. So it's just something they can save for later if their career starts to slow. Not every girl has a strong desire to do IR but they would if they needed to. If they have steady work doing white on white and they're happy, other than fan pressure they might have no real reason to do IR. There've been hundreds of girls like that. Doing IR probably isn't that big a deal but they feel they're doing just fine without it so they don't go out of their way to do it.
Not all. Most don't. The directors who shoot mostly IR might. Some like JULES JORDAN, ELEGANT ANGEL, EVIL ANGEL, etc., might but since they shoot white on white also it's possible for work for them shooting white on white only. And as I've said before...just because a girl decides to do IR doesn't mean there's a long list of directors waiting to hire her to do it. Her standard rate might be more than they are willing to pay, she might not be considered hot enough, she might not be popular enough that anyone cares, or directors might not think she's a good performer. It's clear that companies like BLACKED have a type and don't just hire any girl just because she's white. Other big studios only hire the cream of the crop and there's a long list of girls they'd never hire.

That whole career longevity crap is getting real old and tiresome. Come up with a better excuse will you! Many many top notch stars have been consistently performing in IR scenes from the start of their careers and have had not problem getting booked in the long run. e'g Jada Stevens, Belladonna, Sasha Grey, Tori Black etc

^Draxxx is talking about rejuvenating a career that's slowed down by creating new interest through performing with a black man.

^You're referring to Megan Rain? I've seen maybe four of her scenes that I can think of.
I don't have "first IR" fever and am not uniquely interested in Megan compared to other pornstars, but since she hasn't worked with many guys whom I am a fan of of (actually, I can only think of Mike Adriano), I am glad that she's now willing to work with black men.
Hopefully Megan's Blacked scene was with Flash or Rob.

I hope you realize that what you wrote is no way a rebuttal for any points I was trying to make.

If by stretching we mean that these girls are using IR as a tax deferment plan, then point taken.

^Yes, I've seen. I like Jason, but just not as much as I do Flash or Rob. He's an overall weaker performer than either of them imo. That said, I'm glad Blacked signed him instead of Rob Piper. I don't want Rob to be exclusive to Blacked.

I always felt it was extremists on both sides that use the performers to fight battles. Stupid comments like "She is now ruined", "Worship that black dick", "Ewww, no darkies or no pay", "You guys mad we taking your girls cuz they love that BBC", etc. etc, are prevalent basically on every site and the festering hate, like legit hate beyond trolling creates these social media flame wars. With that said, not accusing anyone, I dont buy the excuse of not feeling someway but using a business model that shows the opposite. For example, I'd lose my family or clientele(feature dancing, escorting, etc.) if I did "_____" on camera. So they essentially are saying if their family or customers consisted of prejudiced unpalatable people then they are fully obligated to continue to support or enable their viewpoints without actually taking responsibility for continuing to let those types to get away with the divide they want to instill and maintain.

It's easy for a fan with absolutely nothing at stake to say what a girl should do because they want to see her do IR to wank off to or to impose their morals on to. Family is important. It's very possible for a girl to have racist parents but she not have the same type of feelings and not share their racism. However, I can totally understand why a girl wouldn't want to jeopardize their relationship with their family, spouse, or friends over something they might not have a burning desire to do anyway or need to do. Also, there might not be a need to risk losing clients to do something they don't have to do. Their personal lives might just go a whole lot drama free if they don't do IR on film so why bring grief when there's no real need to? This is basically fans insisting the girls choose giving them what they want over family or money. Who in their right mind chooses strangers online over family and/or earning money? Strangers who don't really give a crap about the girl other than a wanking tool.

I'd suggest that neither of those are common reasons for not shooting with black men. The "my racist family" excuse is rarely used nowadays, and the "losing racist fans" excuse only makes any sense for contract girls. That said, the latter excuse is closer to the truth. The choice whether or not to shoot with black men is more times than not made for business reasons, not personal feelings.

MimeFreak recently wrote something very interesting on his Appreciation Thread.
Some contributors to this thread have argued the opposite, namely that: "a huge fan base created the 1st IR 1st IR Anal theme and people within the industry jumped behind it."

Either way, the fans get all hyped up and make a big deal about it.
