^Why would I remember the names of Alexis' lovers from years ago?
Alexis Ford did not "neglect" IR. She was under contract.

^^Let's also keep in mind that porn is work, and that what a person does or doesn't do in porn doesn't necessarily reflect her or his personal, offscreen preferences. You want to have it both ways, writing that "The fact is many females in the industry who have shot a lot of IR only date white dudes in their personal life" while also stating that "Alexis Ford didn't work with black men for five years" as if that is evidence of a preference.

Well if you haven't got the evidence why say it as if it's a fact?
Wel i'd say the man she married gives a tiny hint about her "preference" wouldn't you? And tbh i'm not trying to have anything "both ways"..what we're talking about here is female talent who put on a facade just to gain IR fans....Riley Reid has done a lot of IR but her guy is white...is anyone dogging her? Nope because she's not trying to fool people with fake talk.

If I can't remember the names of these guys, they didn't exist? I can't remember the names of Kim Kardashian's ex-husbands, so I guess she didn't have any.
Of course you're trying to have it both ways, writing that "The fact is many females in the industry who have shot a lot of IR only date white dudes in their personal life" while also stating that "Alexis Ford didn't work with black men for five years" as if that is evidence of a preference.

Well "Special Dark" was just put out by JJV with Manuel directing, but yeah they are comparatively rare, maybe 1/10th of the IR volume these days. One of my favorite BF/WM scenes was with Jada Fire and Vanessa Blue with Marco Banderea I think was his name. It was an earlier scene from Jules Jordan. One of the best ever.

Well actually i didn't say "Ford didn't work with black men for five years" i merely said that her limited IR scenes, coupled with who she eventually married simply doesn't comply with her apparent comments about being "weak for bm"....isn't that simple logic?
Also what i said about the other Ir females is merely a fact!!..with or without Alexis Ford.

Just look at the best selling titles here:
http://www.xrentdvd.com/Top_Adult_DVD_Sales.html
Granted, Xrent is not the most trafficked vendor, but it is one of the most popular. And BM/WF is dominating those charts. It's literally more than half, and the rest is showing a lot of lesbian movies by Girlfriend Films.

Actually I don't know and I said that, the rest is wild speculation that matched what was in the post I quoted, in truth she abandoned any porn and related activities in a crucial time of her career with her popularity increasing, that too has a meaning

Wow...that's some incredibly concrete air tight evidence. She fooled us all (except you) and grabbed that crucial IR demographic and probably made millions from her lies. Now that she doesn't have to fool porn fans anymore she was able to marry a white guy and stop that rapping nonsense and go back to singing Carrie Underwood tunes (off camera of course). If she ever decides on a comeback she'll probably claim to be having an affair with a black guy and rap Kendrick Lamar songs.

I would and I honestly think that there is a market for it,the first with a WM would be kinda difficult unless they hire fresh girls all the time most known BF have already done scenes with WM women like Montana starr and victoria cakes etc are the only ones that I can think of that haven't
As far black men and women holding memberships to such a site its hard to say I'm sure a few black men probably not very many though and some black women would hold a membership to a site like it

not to digress the stream of "who's real and who's fake?", but can I be pointed to where these recent Rachel Starr comments came from? As much as I cant stand her sometimes from her past comments and contrasting off set ventures, I would lie if I said I still did not cherish the day to see her bouncing up and down on Lex, Mandingo, Rico, and others. I'd assume that she figures that it is either IR or more anal and her anal rates are insane and no one is biting? This is one porn fallacy I cant stand... how anal sex with non-black guy = regular b/g sex with a black guy, in terms of the "extreme" scale.

I have a HUGE weakness for Redheads, yet I didn't always fell in love with them only , actually only two of my old girlfriends were red.
Am I a liar? Was I fooling people when I fucked some black girl (yes I did , go figure the farthest women from redheads )
You can't control love , my current girlfriend was a schoolmate, I knew her since forever and never found her sexual material, it was like a sister in my mind , might be beautiful still a sister , it changed one evening at a party she was rolled on a couch with her then boyfriend with her head on his shoulder and I was hit right then , right there and it's not even a redhead

This would apply to her too, so unless you or anybody else can't provide the name of the black father of her first kid there is no evidence ,so according to your reasoning we have to assume it's a facade , the kid could have been adopted to fool the black audience

As most IR threads do this one has definitely got a bit silly.
To try and shift the talk back OT in her recent interview for the Captain Ashley Fires says she didn't charge more for her first IR scene.

The reason for my sarcasm and everyone else pointing out to you your thinking is flawed is because your opinion/theory hold no water because it all seems based Alexis marrying a white guy. You find out she married a white guy and created this thing in your head that because she married a race different from the one she dated or was attracted to before she was lying to attract fans who mostly could care less. Countless examples people not marrying the type of people they dated. Dating and marrying are two completely different things. Does anyone only date people they see as marriage material? Her career choices had her under contract with a company that didn't have their contract players doing much if any IR. She mentions in an interview(s) that she personally prefers or mostly dated black guys. It's not like she was going around proclaiming it or jamming it down fans throats or trying to make it a thing. Even if she were trying to make it a thing, do most fans care about what a pornstar does in her private life or what she does on film? It would be like a porn girl bragging she's an anal queen in her personal life but not doing much of on camera. What would be the point? Lastly, porn has plenty of girls who date black men in private but don't much if any IR scenes. The reasons they don't vary from black boyfriends who don't want them to do other black guys, being under contract or being advised not to, mostly working for companies that don't shoot much IR, or simply not getting offers to do IR.
All the above is reasonable and factual. And here you come with the theory that Alexis was lying about dating black guys based on she married a white guy and didn't shoot much IR. If you knew her and/or knew for a fact that she didn't date black men that would be a whole different thing. You're entitled to your opinion but I'm surprised you didn't think anyone would call you on this or dismiss your opinion/theory.

This isn't a big mystery. Porn is filled with people making their own choices for there own reasons. Some girls will take advantage of the current IR climate and have their big payday from it and some will choose not to. Some girls will seek out getting a big IR payday and may not get it. Some girls might not be thing of IR and a big money offer to do it gets thrown at them. Some girls would happily only do IR if they could. Some girls only do IR for business reasons. Some girls will feel comfortable shooting any sort of scene with a black guy. Some girls will have problems with the content/context of some IR scenes. Some girls with shoot with pretty much any black guy. Some girls prefer to only or mostly shoot with certain black guys. And oh my God...some white girls don't want to have sex with black men.
I personally don't think more or less of the girls who don't do it for more money. It actually baffles me that so many people (or at least in this thread) actually care. I get fans wanting to see girls or certain girls doing IR but all this other stuff like how much they make...why care? How ridiculous is it that people here complaining how wrong charging more is yet are happily gobbling up the benefits of it.
I saw a preview of the Ashley Fires DVD. I'm sure I've seen Ashley before but she never registered with me. But after seeing the preview she has my attention. I'm probably going to buy that DVD at some point. I'm sure there are other IR fans just like me. I can't remember which studio is putting out that showcase but I'm sure it will be profitable for them. I actually think that Ashley should get paid more for it because she's the reason for it's success. That success just happens to be from an IR movie. I'd feel the same way if it were a successful all white movie, an all lesbian movie, an all anal movie, a gangbang movie or whatever. Because I'm not looking at this as a racial thing and looking at it as business thing. In this case that big business just happens to be IR. Tomorrow it could be midgets, toe sucking, banging old dudes, or whatever. If something is hot and sells well and the studio is reaping big benefits from particular girls doing it I will always feel the girls should be paid more. If they choose to more power to them and it's deserved. If they don't want extra money for their involvement in making more money for a studio, I think it's a mistake but their mistake to make but if they're happy with their decision I'm happy either way. And in the end I really don't care if it means everyone's getting what they want.

^ Thanks. It looks good and well done...IR or not. But the fact that it's all IR pushes it over the top and makes me want to buy it. So they accomplished their mission to sell more product and make people unaware of Ashley take a look at her. That's what it's all about.

Correlation does not equal causation. The practice of charging a higher rate to work with black men existed before the genre's current hotness, so it's a poor excuse for the practice.
And I feel the same way about this topic as I do the "pink" tax. People should not be subject to discriminatory business practices based on being a member of a marginalized group.

Years ago a girl charging more may have been for different reasons. But today with current demand for IR, IR firsts, and IR showcases, the landscape is different. Perhaps some girls may want to charge more for some of the reasons that existed years ago but most just want to maximize their profits and do what they feel is best for their career.

When was IR not hot? Must have been way before my generation. Cuz as far back as I can remember from my first exposure to porn, IR was pretty popular.

In previous decades there was a definite progression of career steps that ended with anal and/or IR at the top. The old (and still somewhat prevalent) nostrum is doing IR hurts a white female performer's career, and that may have been true in the past. Thirty years ago it seemed like there was a checklist of what starlets would do beginning with either boy-girl or girl-girl. Then their next step would be to do the opposite of that, then threesomes of both kinds, maybe group next, then anal and/or IR toward the end. Of the classic era, Ginger Lynn is the only major porn starlet that pops to mind for breaking that pattern. She did IR before becoming a breakout star, then became a porn legend, and only then did she go back to on-screen IR. Of course there have to be other exceptions, but the rule was that list of steps.
Things are way different today. It does not end a white porn girl's career to do IR and some of the highest-demand WF names in porn became major porn stars doing IR out of the gate or soon after. Sasha Grey, Tori Black, and Jada Stevens are three names I can think of off the top of my head who became major stars doing IR out of the gate, and in volume at that. Tori's career was not that long ago, and most ADTers should remember her big first was anal. Most of the other bankable porn stars are doing IR within a year of their debut where in previous decades it might be a year or more before a female star who started off boy-girl did her first girl-girl scene (and vice-versa). Society has changed so IR is more acceptable, but the business has changed as well because there are easier and many more ways to sell and film porn now. Looking at Christy Canyon's IAFD record, she did about 20-25 original scenes in her first year in the business. When she started, all porn was filmed and home VHS was just gaining traction. Taped porn was soon to follow. Today an actress can do 20-25 scenes in two months easily, and some do that many in a month on occasion. That's due to more outlets for porn, but also much quicker processing of content. Editing film properly is a supreme bitch. Video is slightly more forgiving than film. In today's digital age, editing is far easier and quicker, not to mention you can do live streaming now.
I don't think today's starlets lose much doing IR unless they are only featuring in the most redneck of redneck strip clubs. The question is whether to tease it out like the traditional progression of porn acts, or do the types of scenes they want to do from the start where IR & anal are part of the repertoire that can make them big stars. It seems to me like the girls who enter porn from the artistic/erotica sites are teasing their stuff out, where the girls entering porn from the usual strip club circuits tend to be more willing to do whatever from the get-go. As far as bidding wars for firsts, that is a function of economics. There's only so many starlets in high demand at any one time and now more companies wanting to advertise firsts. There's more customers who want to see IR too. I'm not surprised to hear starlets trying to get bid up what they can for the Big Two of Porn Firsts (anal & IR). But that's runs the risk of the customer base losing interest in a starlet among the great number of actresses and ways to watch them in the 21st Century.

Not sure the IR hurts your career claim has ever held water. One of the biggest and earliest stars in porn, Marilyn Chambers, did IR with Johnny Keyes in her first film Beyond the Green Door. And in the Resurrection of Eve too. Never seemed to dampen her box office, the opposite in fact.

Those were different times when porn was seen in theaters by many and porn was by itself the forbidden thing which included taboo sex.Furthermore those were featured movies with a story where the IR part wasn't the main argument with few exceptions.
In gonzo era it changed there are stars who have been almost confined to IR Sara Monroe was one as if they were tagged "IR Star" and hired almost only for that . April Flowers never reached the prominence she deserved , if you ever saw a scene of her you know what i mean, she was beautiful, a body to kill for and nastier than the average star back then ,she liked black men, her first scene was an Up 'n' Cummers with Mr Marcus with a creampie . It could be for different issues , we'll never know for sure , still there was superstar material who never become it.

True to a degree but have you seen Beyond the Green Door? The scene with Keyes is the central scene and imagery of the entire film, often the only part many remember, beyond the psychedelic money shot sequence.
It is iconic and Chambers had a fame because of the film and the fact she was the Ivory Soap model that pushed her into the popular culture in a way that probably surpasses any porn performer since.

From what I can gather doing IR years ago could hurt a career. But as I've repeatedly pointed out in this thread, different girls have different types of porn careers so the results of doing IR back then would have different effects for different girls. For some girls back then doing IR didn't have much of an effect because they weren't big name girls with big porn careers. So any outrage with fans that they did IR was probably minimal. They were "B" and "C" listers who didn't have much of a spotlight shone on them. Some girls back then who did a lot of IR probably found a niche with IR fans and were able to find success mostly doing IR and didn't have to a whole lot with the negative aspects of doing IR porn. But the thing to remember is that porn had a long and successful era of the contract girl. Contract girls have less control over their careers than typical Gonzo girls who jump from studio to studio. Contract girls had agents and studios that believed doing IR would make a girl less popular and because they were the ones controlling the girl's career and giving/getting her work their IR beliefs became reality for the girl. So if they decided IR wasn't a desirable thing they treated it as such and may pass on giving a girl certain roles or company backing or back off spotlighting her. So it didn't really matter that a small percentage of fans objected to her doing IR the studios/agents were mostly concerned with the negative response and reacted accordingly. After hearing it so often and seeing how the agents and some studios reacted most girls just saw it as truth. Also, that was a time when contract girls were the big deal in porn and lots of girls wanted to be a contract girl or copy their success. remember the era of whenever you asked most new girls who the look up to or want to be like they'd say Jenna Jameson? That was the blueprint for many girls back then. And that blueprint didn't include IR (among other things). Contract studios will probably never embrace IR or anything extreme or remotely controversial because they cater to a very middle of the road couples friendly audience that they don't want to upset. That's why we almost never see some of the new porn trends reflected at some of those studios. They happily stay in the more safe "vanilla" territory.
As far as the Marilyn Chambers era of porn goes...wasn't porn composed of a different type of audience back then? When I see old doc about porn back then the audience seemed to be composed of mostly hippie types. Hippies seemed to be more opened minded, free love, less hang up types who didn't get upset about sex or skin color. They were the ones who would go to theatres to watch porn and not be embarrassed about it. When porn went to video and more uptight conservative types starting watching is when IR started getting looked on negatively. That's just my theory.

That type of thing is hard to say or guess at. I have no idea who April Flowers, or Sara Monroe are but it's possible IR saved their career or made her more popular within the IR fan community and gave them a bigger fanbase than they would've had otherwise. When you look at someone like Sara Jay who I'd guess is considered an "IR STAR" you have to wonder if she didn't do IR would she be as popular and had as a successful career if she only did white on white? I would think she wouldn't. Sometimes for some girls being a big fish in a smaller pond (niche) is better for them that trying to compete with all the other fish in the big pond.
In porn a big part of success is finding your niche. Jenna Jameson found great success as a contract girl doing that type of porn. Jenna doing Gonzo probably wouldn't have made her nearly as popular. Kelly Divine: Great Gonzo performer. Kelly Divine: As a contract girl doing VIVID or DIGITAL PLAYGROUND type movies...all wrong.

They're both long gone, and they did IR from their very first scene , Sara Monroe was niched to IR or so it seemed , might have raised her popularity among the IR fans that's all she had, and it wasn't much at her times.
April Flowers was active around the beginning of this century up until 2003 I believe, when dogfart begun she was already gone

^ That's one of the unfortunate things about porn performers...sometimes they just aren't in porn during the time it would really suit them or have a sizable audience to appreciate them more. There were some great from years ago who would be very popular if they were in porn today because there's more of the type being produced that they were good at but didn't have the outlets for it back then. There are girls who were more extreme but the extreme stuff was a smaller niche so they never go the chance to live up to their potential. With some girls their body type was a liability but today was be an asset. A girl preferring IR is a plus today when back then it wasn't nearly as accepted.

"Everyone" being er three people? Wow i've been told!!. And like i said before actions speak louder than words. There are a plethora of "IR queens" who bark loudly about "loving black men" but their personal lives tell a different story. So what separates Ford from them exactly? Absolutely nothing. Like i said if she didn't constantly try and ram that lie down peoples throats then no-one would say a word because we all know porn is all BS at the end of the day...but she spouted it to gain fans in a different market IN MY OPINION...that's it.
In closing you talk about "factual" then come out with the feeble line about "porn has plenty of girls who date black men but don't do IR"..REALLY? Who? Please give me a laugh by trying to name some!!! :D .

Isis Taylor was in a relationship with a black performer in RL who didn't want her to shoot any IR on camera.

It is what it is. Personally, it may just depend on the girl and what kind of career she wants to have/how long she wants to be in the industry. Even then, it wildly differs from actress to actress. To be fair, there are still girls coming out the gates doing IR and being highly popular/successful. Aria Alexander comes to mind. I'd be lying if I stated that as a black man, and fan of IR porn in general, that I didn't take more of a liking to girls like her than I do others that would hold out. I'm not going to be disingenuous here and tell you that I would find someone who did IR right off the bat and someone who did IR years later to be equally as desirable for me to follow and invest my time in. That would be an outright lie.
At the same time, I don't speak (or type) for every black man (or person), so obviously there are going to be those that feel differently and that is perfectly fine. It's more of a time investment thing than anything and is purely psychological. Obviously the longer something is familiar to you, the more you will grow attached to it. I have no issue with girls waiting to shoot IR for a bigger pay day. Like I said, it all depends on the individual girl whether she should hold out for a year, for a month or not at all. For some it may be too much work, too soon. For others, maybe they aren't getting a ton vanilla work and want to work more. Others might be getting more work than they can handle as it is. I really have no idea.
I do feel a lot need to realize, though, that not every girl can get a big showcase. There just aren't enough given out. Sometimes a girl may plan to shoot IR down the line, but real life happens and their priorities change. Some girls never reach the point in their career where they could best take advantage of an IR first. It also seems like a lot of girls make a choice at some point in their careers between first anal and first IR. Obviously I would prefer first IR being the IR fan that I am, but I understand the choice. From what I've seen, it seems like when a girl chooses first anal and follows it with first DP, first gangbang, etc it rubs a lot of (hardcore) IR fans the wrong way. Some will call these fans IR watchdogs. Perhaps.
From their perspective, they think the performer looks down upon IR for choosing it last after all the other 'circus acts.' This may or may not be the case. Either way, I think there are a couple ways to avoid this stigma if they so wish. A performer can either do IR first over anal and then save anal first as well as everything after it including all of the other IR stuff as well like first DP, first IR anal, first IR DP, etc. This easily solves this problem (if one even exists). They can also do anal first and IR closely behind it (or at the same time) but save everything else for later. Personally (and obviously), I would prefer IR first. No one can say anything about you really if you do that (the watchdogs, as you'd like to call them).
Now, if you wait too long to do IR in the first place, this all changes, however. Best case scenario is to start off IR and save everything else for later. It's the most politically correct way to approach things and won't hurt anyone's sensibilities too much (if you care about any of that stuff). I mean, I'm sure there are anal enthusiasts as well, but I doubt they would feel you're somehow a bad person or a bigot for not shooting anal from the get go. Anyways, none of this matters unless you really want to make a small subset of hardcore fans happy. Any performer can start out doing whatever they want or make whatever choice they want at the end of the day. I'm just pointing out what is most likely to occur by making said choice.
I'm conflicted on this issue a bit. On one side of the coin, I feel like some girls who wouldn't have shot IR otherwise might possibly be shooting it now thanks to sites like BLACKED, DarkX, etc. But on the flip side, it does incentivize more and more girls to hold out for a bigger pay day. I just hope they realize that not everyone is created equally and everyone's worth in this business is different. One girl being able to demand a large pay day and showcase doesn't necessarily mean another will. I would advise these women to confer with their inner circle and group of most trustworthy advisers to help guide them in the right direction and evaluate their individual situations with a trained, unbiased eye. And even then it's not 100% one way or the other.
I liken it to writing (or any other activity that can be assessed vastly different from person to person), I may think what I wrote is the most exquisite, insightful thing ever. Someone else might think it is, too. Someone else might think it's awful. Someone else might think it's mediocre. You have to take in all advice and criticism before weighing it all to come to a proper and reasoned conclusion on things, and even then it's mostly a shot in the dark. But yeah, I don't know. 'Waiting to shoot IR for a bigger pay day.' It's both good and bad, it can be the correct decision or the incorrect decision and anything in between. No one girl is the same, so no one answer makes sense here. Each performer needs to look inside themselves and decide what is the best possible choice for them at the time. That's all there is to it.

I'm not sure I believe the "black boyfriend doesn't want her doing blacks on camera". If I had a porn girlfriend why would I be ok with her fucking white dudes on camera but not black guys? She either does girls only or b/g regardless of skin color. I'm sure there's some insecure black dudes dating pornstars but I don't think it's that common.

^Aren't there are a couple confirmed cases of that excuse being true though? LCF might have some examples...

Isis Taylor is one that specifically comes to mind. I want to say there was a point in time where Leya Falcon wasn't doing them because of a boyfriend as well.

It seems to me that the paradigm described by Kevin Moore in my OP is increasingly a non-issue. The newer crop of pornstars thinks differently due to the Blacked effect. First IR is increasingly preceding first anal. I'm not going to exaggerate and pretend that most young women are entering the industry with IR on their ticket, but it does seem that the prevailing wisdom that one's first IR should only be shot after several other firsts has really began to change. Now, perhaps newbies still want/expect "first" money, but I don't get the impression that many of them feel the need to wait forever for a showcase. I have no doubt that Megan Rain, for example, could have held out longer for a showcase and done so to great success, but she didn't. On the Blacked thread we recently discussed Alison Tyler not shooting IR yet, and I couldn't help but speculate that she hasn't shot with a black man because she entered the industry in 2010 when the old model still reigned supreme. I really do think that if she started her career now in 2016, she would likely shoot IR in 2016 or maybe early 2017. It's the new paradigm.

^^I also believe that Leya took a hiatus from IR at some point because of an offscreen interracial relationship that she was in.

About Blacked...does every girl that shoots for them still have to sign an IR-exclusive contract with them?

Okay, so what if a porn girl "hypes up" her love for black guys? It's no different then when a girl exaggerates her love for anal, DPs, older men...you name it. I just find it amusing, how you go out of your way to find something that you can use to hate on a pornstar, whether she's done IR or not.

I don't think so. Alexa Tomas has enough IR scenes coming out soon that I don't think that she did, and when Cassidy Klein's Blacked scene came out, she had one or two IR scenes come out within a month of that as well. I think that most women do, if for no other reason than it means more money for the scene (they have to give you some incentive to agree to exclusivity, and that's the most obvious one).
