^ I wasn't trying to imply that he doesn't pay for porn. I have no idea if he does or doesn't but he's very opinionated on matters regarding who does and doesn't. (And I don't think he's on the same page as Ms. Heart, hence my comment)

Well I'm surprise that this thread is still here, we got to here from Carter Cruise, Nikki Benz and Olivia Austin on there take on this topic. We have one director on here but I would like to here from a another director beside Kevin Moore on there take on it because porn directors are different on the way they paid girls. Is it the white director who paid girls more for IR?

^^Oh OK. I thought you were saying that he didn't pay for porn buy still wanted to be heard like everyone else. To me, if black men or anyone for that matter doesn't pay for porn your opinion doesn't matter.
^I don't think any of those girls really advanced the conversation. I wouldn't mind hearing from some more directors though. Remember, IR is a complicated issue to some and I like seeing all the different opinions on it, even if I do agree with some.

Interesting conversation, thanks for posting. I appreciated Chanell's candor in it. The very first point she made is what sticks out in my mind the most, that as long as minority performers of all ethnicities are "categorized", their careers will always be restricted-as Chanell stated, more often than not, the only work she can get is for "black movies". Same goes for Latin and Asian girls, who are usually relegated to movies that are ethnically-themed. As for black males, most of their work is relegated to fucking white girls. Another interesting point she made was about the interracial double standard, where white girls can hold out on having sex with a black man on camera, but black girls (not to mention Latinas and Asians) are pretty much required to fuck white guys from the start of their careers. It was also interesting to get her take on the "mixed" black girls in the industry; it's remarkable the animosity that some black girls hold towards "mixed" girls, like Teanna Trump. Actually, it's not just a matter of black girls, but some black folks, in general, despise "mixed" people-those who are half black, half white.
The one part of the interview where Chanell makes herself look bad was when she made the comment stating that because she drinks Kool-Aid and eats chicken "a lot", that means she's a real black woman/person. When I first read the comments on the You Tube section regarding that, I assumed she was being sarcastic/funny. But having just watched the interview, unfortunately, it looks to me like she wasn't trying to be funny, she was actually being quite serious.
Anyways, while the subjects covered in that video might not apply to this thread, it did bring up some interesting discussion points.

Chanell is preaching to a deaf audience. The industry knows what it is doing but it can't change now if it wanted to. She would be better served creating competition in the industry. The demand for Black women is there and it is growing stronger everyday some entrepreneur who is not color struck will fill it sooner or later.

I have no idea where the notion of more demand = paying them more idea comes from. Because if the demand was that high for such scenes the girls wouldn't have to be basically bribed to work with someone who has more melanin than them. Because the demand for scenes would be so great they wouldn't need to be.
And I mentioned this before but on the topic of supply/demand, the demand existed for high quality Black/white scenes but until Blacked came along that market wasn't served. So until someone supplies the demand, one can't be sure how great it is.
As for bribing these girls to work with Blacks, it's detestable and only furthers more racism in the industry by allowing the notion of Black/White scenes being different enough to warrant extra pay to continue to fester.
When in fact they're just like all other standard b/g scenes and should be treated as such. And for the "it's a fetish so they need more pay" arguers. If that's solely what it is then it'd be treated like white/asian or white/latino scenes which don't get extra pay even though they're fetishes to some.
And the "my family is against it" argument some Latino women are using is obviously false. Their families wouldn't be fine with them publicly doing porn with every man in the business but draw the line at Blacks. That's just the socially palatable way they can excuse their personal distaste regarding working with Black men.

You're looking at it the wrong way. They aren't being "bribed" so much as incentivized. That incentive comes from the fact that studios feel it's justified. And the studios feel it is justified because - dur - it must pay off for them.
Why would ANY studio pay for 1st time IR if it didn't pay off for them? I don't know what kind of economy you think we're in where people will just set fire to money cuz racism.
You may it seem like the porn star who holds out on IR must be doing so out of personal bias. But how much simpler could the reasoning be in truth, than that they do so as a business move? It's all business. If someone is willing to pay extra for the same thing, then you're telling me you'd refuse them?
The fact is, as long as IR "matters", it will be regarded as justifying a premium rate for a performer. The only time this practice will stop is when IR no longer matters, but I honestly don't see that happening any time soon.

I'd argue that premium rates for first IR will always be a thing, because premium rates for first B/G are a thing, too. Firsts sell better, so companies are willing to pay more for it. What needs to not be a thing, and that's the one thing we've even had the performers that came into this thread agree on, is getting paid more for non-first IR scenes than normal b/g scenes.

You're hopelessly naive if you think this statement is true. Of course, doing porn at all carries some degree of stigma for a woman, but among some (White/Latino/Asian) families, having sex with a Black man is a far far worse disgrace. That's how many people think. I'm not saying those attitudes are correct, but cavalierly dismissing them as "obviously false" is just delusional.

This whole "waiting to shoot IR for more money" just does not make any sense to me. Maybe someone can clarify.
Doesn't first anything pay more no matter how long someone has been in porn? How much more money do you make if you wait?
As an example, I will use one of my favorites. Anikka Albrite did IR very early in her career, I would guess she got a premium for it. If she had waited to shoot IR a couple years after she started, how much more money would she have made for that first IR?
I am curious because the few performers who have contributed to this thread have said they did not wait because they wanted to make more money with their first IR.

^Well you gotta figure that an established star in the industry could really make a lot of money for there first IR if they do holdout and shot it at the right time.
Olivia Austin said she received a 4k offer for her first and with all due respect to her, she's basically a nobody right now, so you would have to think a girl that is more known in the industry could make twice that.
I've heard stories of girls like Amy Reid and Jenna Presley getting anywhere from 6k to 10k for there first IR scenes, so the money is there but I don't know if that money really offsets what they could have been getting if they just did it from the jump since now there are a bunch of studios really putting an emphasis on shooting IR early now.

I don't know how many of you watched the Vladtv interview with Nikki Benz and Lex but something in it stuck with me. They weren't talking about IR in particular they were talking about no lists actually anyway Nikki goes into how she does not have a NO list at this point in her career really because she really does not have to have one the reason being that its more expensive to shoot a scene with her than most girls and companies don't want the scene to be bad and so don't hire bad male talent. That got me thinking how many other recent IR first timers have waited until their personal rates were higher.
We have all been assuming that the basis for the waiting strategy is to get one big payday, but what if some girls are now waiting to shoot IR until their rates per scene any scene she shoots are higher. If you're a performers that can charge 2-3 times or maybe higher than what the normal rate for a standard bg scene and you waited a year or 2 that higher rate can help make up for not doing IR in those first couple of years.
Obviously most girls who do wait are one big payday (maybe?) and done after that if they continue to shoot IR its for most like whatever the standard IR rate is, but it seems that there could be a select few that maybe waiting for this reason as well.

I know what you're implying but Brazzers actually puts out IR content(sparingly) as compared to the other Manwin/Porn Portal sites such as Digital Playground, Reality Kings(they finally put one out after about a year or so), Twistys, Mofos(completely shut down all their IR sites), et. al. Plus Brazzers normally gets the big names(Jada, Phoenix, Romi, Riley Reid, etc.) and they've shot about 10 IR DP's/Gangbangs. Again, I say sparingly because we're talking like 500/5000 scenes but that ratio blows out almost all of the other Manwin sites. I wish ZZ would step it up though for two reasons: I enjoy their production and high budget shoots and there's only so much Keiran I can tolerate

But I think it is understood that Amy and Jenna were grossly overpaid for their IR scenes and they used the fact that they were soon exiting the industry as leverage against the studios. Also, when it comes to it, Jules is flooded with money as I believe he paid for and IR scene for both of those girls and he also is one of, possibly the only, to cave in for a Rachel Starr anal scene. So I'm saying that those two rates may be huge aberrations. These days, the girls have to actually have demand/longevity to demand such exclusivity. Plus, most of the newer girls today(for the most part) are doing as they please to keep their fanbase as wide as possible because they deliver good scenes. I'll never watch a bad performer do a 1st time scene over a solid/excellent performer doing a 50th IR scene. From what I see and read, it's only the popular girls(like Alexis Texas, Bonnie Rotten, Ava Addams) that are constantly begged over and over.
For example, Elegant Angell is planning to shoot an IR Film and they asked fans who they wanted; at least half the comments were for Alexis Texas and then out of the other half, half of those(so a quarter of the full total) were for Kelly Divine. Like I said, only the good performers can have that pull and even then, I think most fans(or at least me) would prefer to see Kelly because I know(or feel like) she's not doing just for the check and has plenty of experience/chemistry already and basically is a raunchier performer than Alexis. Not saying Alexis is bad but she basically does B/G all the time unless she's married and then she goes to the same moves everytime: cowgirl and doggystyle where she controls the penetration, so many other PAWGs out there that work it better imo

Brazzers had three IR sites but they shut them down one by one ,mofos too did this, I believe their customers weren't downloding content enough , fewer new customers joined from there so it wasn't worth it any more, at least for them , Reality King recently launched Teens Like Black Cock but I don't know how good is it.

It's a tricky thing to do. First and foremost some of these girls will be waiting a long time because just being a white porn girl doesn't mean you'll get a big payday offer for IR. Gotta remember that these girls have to actually wait for someone to want them bad enough to even offer a big payday. Just because they've made their minds up to wait doesn't mean that that offer of a big payday will be thrown their way. Secondly, if a girl holds out and turns down her first offer(s) hoping that once she becomes more popular she can get even more she's taking a risk because she might never gain the popularity she thinks she will or this whole paying girls big bucks for their first IR might fizzle out in the future and that girl may have missed her big money window.
Then there are girls who I think aren't waiting for a big payday at all. I tend to think that Amy Ried really had no intention of shooting IR and JULES JORDAN just asked enough times and just eneded up offering her a price she just couldn't turn down and decided to do it. But that's me speculating.

This kinda touches on something I mentioned before. The reason we don't see some pornstars do that much IR has to do with the fact that there are only a few companies that can afford to pay them their rates. There are some girls who've only done IR for JULES JORDAN, ELEGANT ANGEL, EVIL ANGEL, etc... because the smaller studios can't afford to pay them. Nikki is one of those porngirls who gets paid well and mostly only does work for the bigger studios. So even though she's doing IR now don't expect her to show up any and everywhere doing it. I think she'll do a few for awhile because it's a new thing for some studios and after the newness of it wears off it will become less common for her because the studios who can afford her will have done it and don't think it's a big deal after a time.

I feel for Chanell but as been said here repeatily most of the stuff she doesn't like or agree with are a direct result of what type of scenes/movies/girls a sizable chunk of paying porn audience wants to see. I also think it's strange to hear people complain about "catergorized" porn when pretty much every porn viewer wants their porn catergorized to some extent. It's crazy to think people just want a movie to just be labelled "PORN" and it be a grab-bag of whatever and may include sensual girl on girl, some hardcore gaping, cuckold, foot fetish, and big butts thrown together in one movie. Porn will always be catergorized and some genres will always sell better than others and those that sell better will be made more of. Perhaps not fair in some people's mind but at some point you just have to accept it.
Also, another hard pill to swallow is that black girls with certain types of features will be more popular and work more. It's true in porn, it's true in Hollywood, it's true in the real world. When you ask most (not all) people to name the hottest black women most of the time they'll name lighter skinned black girls with more caucasian features. There of course are some very beautiful darker skinned black women but they don't get props or recognized the way fairer skined black women do.
This is another sad state of affairs with some people. They tie being black with certain cultural things or the way they talk or what they like to eat or do. But realistically, being black is mostly all about skin pigment. I'm black and know lots of white people who are much more into the hip hop culture, ebonics, music, and things seen as "black" more than I am

^ Maybe some people need to understand that having "white features" is not the only thing needed to be successful, otherwise Shemar Moore would be a bigger star than Morgan Freeman. I really think some people just have what it takes to succeed in some fields and their looks just happen to be a plus, even in porn. I also do understand that one can be limited by their looks, but an average looking girl that is a great performer is more likely to be successful than a prettier girl who can't perform.
Even though the majority of the people they are supposed to work with, won't work with them, how do you explain that a black male is more likely to be a successful pornstar than a black female? that most white guys would rather see a black male with a white female than a white male with a black female?

I'm talking about what many people deem attractive not successful. Although, for some people can and have used their looks to find success.
I guess your statement of "an average looking girl that is a great performer is more likely to be successful than a prettier girl who can't perform. " may depend on what you want from your porn performer. I personally think great looks can get a girl a lot further in porn than great performances and there's a long list of contract girls, big boobs girls, etc., to back up that opinion. Of course there are exceptions but generally good looks gets much more attention than great performances and allows good looking girls to get away with doing a lot less in many cases. Studios like VIVID, DIGITAL PLAYGROUND, WICKED, ADAM & EVE, etc., are catering mostly to fans who care more about looks than performance in general. Unless a girl is just flat out awful a good looking girl appeals more to that audience.
I don't know if I understand the question but if you're asking why black males are more likely to be successful than a black female, there are a few reasons. There's a sizable part of the audience that likes to see white women ravaged by BBC because they get off on things being done to white women. There's another part of the audience that's into the whole taboo aspect of IR sex as something "wrong" and forbidden. There are black males who better indentify with seeing black males on screen as opposed to white guys. There are people who just like watching certain girls and don't care if the guy is black or white as long as the sex is good so IR doesn't really bother them.
On the other side of the coin, white guys doing black women doesn't carry the same types of fetish aspects. The big part of the audience that likes seeing Black women with white men are the white guys attracted to black women and that's it. I would imagine black males would rather see black women with black males. I'm sure thee are black men who like seeing black women with white guys but I can't imagine there's a lot of them. There are people who will buy/watch WM/BF porn based on what studio or director puts it out because they are a fan of that studio/directors output. So when JULES JORDAN, EVIL ANGEL, or whoever puts out WM/BF porn it sells well mostly based on that studio/directors fanbase moreso than that skin color match up. That's why we don't see that much WM/BF done by smaller companies. Because the audience for them is considerably smaller to begin with. And lastly, most of the black pornstars aren't as extreme/hardcore/freaky as their white counterparts. With a large part of the audience being into the harder edge type of porn and so many black pornstars not doing the extreme stuff there a sizable portion of the audience that has no desire to watch them perform.

^ I think I had misunderstood the first part of your statement, and I mixed up the perception of beauty and success, sorry.
There is definitely a number of girls that do not look that good that are very successful as well, even though beauty can make thing easier for others. I actually watch many girls ( that I will not name of course) that I don't find that attractive. I only watch them because they are great performers. If black women were willing to do as much stuff as the white women, maybe they will find more work, maybe they won't. I guess we need more black women that are willing to do more, then we'll see which way it goes.

I'm surprised that BRAZZERS IR sites weren't popular enough for them to keep them going. Despite the thread on this site saying how bad their content is I actually think they put out good stuff...although I have no idea if their IR content back then was as good as their more recent stuff. I wonder if the girls that shoot IR at BRAZZERS these days have to specifically request black guys if they want to shoot with them or the directors just decide to shoot IR every so often and ask girls known for shooting a lot of IR to do it.
Also surprised that BRAZZERS has/had all that IR content and didn't try to make some money off of it somehow. They should've released it on DVD or sold it off to other companies. I'm sure there was/is an audience that would like to see it.

I'm kinda curious about something. "Firsts" may sell better for a studio but does that mean a "second" or "third" can't be a big seller for another studio? Just to throw a random example out there...BLACKED has had success with many of their firsts but I'd have to think JULES JODAN having those same girls after they've done their firsts at BLACKED might still outsell a BLACKED first. JJ has a different audience and even though it's not a first IR for the girl, it's a first time at JJ and that audience. It seems to me in some cases the smarter move would be to let another company make the big payouts to some of these girls for their firsts and then grab them at a cheaper price for their 2nd and/or 3rd IR scene.
I personally believe that BLACKED content and style is so different than some of the other companies that shoot IR that there really isn't that much crossover and for the people who like both they don't really care who gets the "firsts".

It can, but I would say it depends on how big the companies involved are. What you ideally want to be is the first time most people have seen a girl do a certain act, and sometimes there are instances where a girl does an act, but it happens for a company or in a scene where it means most people wouldn't have watched it. For example, IIRC, Tori Black's first anal scene was actually in a POV/interactive movie, so when she did her scene for Elegant Angel most people still hadn't seen her do it because a lot of people don't watch/ignore POV.
To extend this to IR, If a girl did her first IR for a site like Industry Invaders, and then did her second for Jules, her second could be just as successful or even more successful than her first. I do feel there is crossover between Blacked and Jules, if for no other reason than Jules' company is who distributes their DVDs. So basically, another company can shoot her second and it would still be a bigger seller, but it would more than likely be even more successful for said company if it were her first.

I'm all over the place when it comes to girls I like to watch. Some girls I like because of their performance and I don't think are that goodlooking but their performance skills makes them sexy to me and sexy is often as good or better than good looks. There are girls I watch solely because they're goodlooking and their looks make up for not so great performances. Then there are girls who I don't think are that goodlooking or are good performers but I can't get enough of them for some reason because just appeal to me in some way that I don't quite understand. And on the flip side there are plenty of girls who are goodlooking and great performers that do nothing for me...like Tori Black. I should've been a huge Tori Black fan but she does nothing for me for some reason.
For me personally it wouldn't make much difference. For me a girl doing anal is about as hardcore as I generally like to see them. All the other over the top stuff doesn't do that much for me. And to be fair, the vast majority of porn doesn't call for the girl to be super hardcore or over the top freaky. I think a black girl with good looks and willing to do anal should be able to work almost anywhere for the most part. It just seems that the demand isn't there and porn tends to grab on to 1 or 2 black girls and pretty much ingore the rest. Right now and for awhile it's been Skin Diamond. Misty Stone had a short run. Before that it was Jada and Marie Luv. Within the black porn genre there are more than a few standout performers but they never seem to have much crossover success. There have been plenty of black female stars that could easily go toe to toe with their white counterparts in looks and performance skills if all things were equal.

Reading 15 pages gave me a headache, but who really cares if a girl wants to try and get a bigger payday for IR?
As was mentioned on the first reply, they do it for other "firsts" including B/G, anal, DP, gang bang, etc.
I say good for them if they're able to command more $$$ for their work. Not sure why some have to get so damn touchy over when or if a girl chooses to do IR.

Arina Marie, Audrey Bitoni, Kianna Dior, Rachele Richey, Whitney Westgate, Carter Cruise, Sheridan Love, LONI EVANS all have neverr done black dudes on film. It'd be cool and gr8 to see all or any of them do that, and I hope they cash in big and have a blast when or if they do dip into the IR pool.would be a great career move and sexually exhilarating I'm sure. Wait and see, the day any ofnthese sexy ladies do ir, will be a good day in history!

Well, there's a difference between categorizing the sex act (i.e. B/G, anal, DP, gangbang) and categorizing the female performer (i.e. black, Latina, Asian). To Chanell's point, you've never seen a category/niche called "white".

^
You sure?
PAWG = Phat Ass WHITE Girl
Up that White Ass
also Interracial is mostly focused in black men fucking WHITE girls , the categorization counts both sides , I really can't see why it is considered racist only on one part.
Also maybe not in western porn but in Asian porn White is a different category while Asian isn't , categorization labels what is different than the majority

^ Yes. And what about the infamous "WHITEZILLA" series? Or "Big WHITE dicks in black chicks" in Plus, I've seen plenty of titles like "White girls got ass too", "Big ass white girls" and such because the catergorizing becomes more and more detailed to exploit and make it easier for a fan to find and identify the fetish they like. So yeah, there were some poor smaller package white guys out there who couldn't get work in a WHITEZILLA movie. Some thinner butt white girls who couldn't get work in PAWG movies. The reality is that everyone in porn misses out on work at one time or another because of who they are and what they look like. But on the flip side, there are plenty of girls who are able to work and have success because of who they are and what they look like. There was a time that many of today's big butt girls would've never had the sort of career they enjoy now because they would've been thought to be too fat or heavy during the time the thin VIVID girl era. There was a time when looking like a teen wasn't as popular as it is now. There was a time when there were far less black men in porn because there simply wasn't that much porn with black men being shot. There was a time when lots of the BBC guys would've had trouble getting work because the BBC destroying little white girls wasn't popular back then.

Because working with a Black guy shouldn't require a bribe. And when they work with their first Asian or Latino guy they don't get extra $. So it's evidence of a backwards view on race.

^ If by "working with" you mean "sitting in a cubicle across from" I'd agree, but I don't see how that has much bearing on the conversation.
If you mean "fucking" then things are significantly more complicated than that. And while I agree that people shouldn't require a bribe to work with someone of a particular race, I don't necessarily think that it is a bribe we're talking about.
I am an independent contractor. I don't always charge the same rate for every job because I recognize that some jobs are more in-demand than others and that I can command a premium for doing certain work. Porn performers are doing the same thing. They recognize that they can command a premium for certain scenes (be it who they are performing with, what they are performing etc) so they negotiate accordingly. Is it their fault their is a demand for IR such that they can charge more for it? No. That issue is purely on the consumer end. Are they taking advantage of that set of circumstances? Absolutely, as is their right.
Are there performers that would prefer not to shoot IR that see the extra money as a bribe? Probably. But unless they've come out and said that they don't want to shoot with black guys, we have no idea who, so it would be incorrect to paint all performers who hold out as some sort of racist (which is exactly what you're doing when you claim the have backwards views on race)
Not everyone that buys IR porn is a racist, but some of them sure are, and some of them have really backwards views on race (I'd argue... and have argued that it's most of them) but I bet you wouldn't appreciate being called a racist just because you insist on segregating performers by race so you can enjoy your porn more.

Please stop insulting people, not cool. I know you said most, not all, but that is just to give yourself some wiggle room. In case anybody calls you out on it, you'll say you did not say all. You just insulted the majority of IR fans just because of their taste.
The same way we can't say a girl is racist because she won't do IR, you cannot call someone racist for liking IR porn. This is just uncalled for.

Nothing to do with it being a "bribe." It has everything to do with the girl trying to earn as much money as she can. When anyone thinks of "IR Porn" they do not think about Hispanic and white, or Asian and white. They think black guy, white girl. That is because it has been played up that way with sites that are all about IR being black guys fucking white girls. Implying that a girl is somehow racist because she wants more money for her first IR is really insulting to them. Sites like Blacked and Dogfart play up the "first IR" or "first BBC" all the time so why shouldn't a girl try and maximize her profit when at the same time, the site is getting the benefit of the headline and video of her doing something a lot of people have been waiting to see?
This is the one reason why IR porn annoys me; it always gets turned into a fucking debate on racism.

^ I have no idea why the girls would refuse extra money when the porn industry is willing to pay them more. I am black, if I was in porn, and people wanted to pay me more money to fuck black girls, I would gladly take it.

Exactly, and I think most people realize that. Seems like some just want to make an issue and argument where none should exist.

It would be very easy to rewrite murdock's comment to refer to straight porn in general "Not everyone that buys straight porn is a sexist, but some of them sure are, and some of them have really backwards views on gender (I'd argue... and have argued that it's most of them)." Gender stereotypes in porn are just fine while racial stereotypes are considered beyond the pale for some reason. It's a laughable double standard.

I think you missed my point. Because it does seem acceptable for IR fans to call a performer on here a racist because of her (alleged) racial preferences, so I see absolutely no reason why I can't call some IR fans on here racists based on their racial preferences. Those guys set the bar, I'm just holding everyone (including them) up to it. The point is it's bullshit to sit there and cast aspersion on someone because of a preference, especially when it is coming from someone who has the exact same preferences.
And the reason it should be frowned upon calling performers racist, isn't because it's rude. It's because we have no idea of those performers are racist or not. If Suzy McArian shows up on here or in an interview and talks about how she thinks white folks are better than black folks, then absolutely she should be called a racist. But all of the allegations here are based purely on speculation. We have no idea if any of these performers are actually racist or not. That is why we shouldn't say it about the performers unless we know.
Having said that, are you saying that IR fans don't segregate performers by race, or are you saying that segregating performers by race isn't racist? Because if my statement isn't true I'll rescind and offer an apology, but if it's true I don't see what's wrong with calling someone who segregates people by race (even if it's just to jerk off to) a racist.
