What's surprising? That they would respond to people saying bad stuff about them that isn't true?

^Is waiting to shoot IR for a bigger pay day generally regarded as "bad stuff" within the industry? You yourself do not believe that it falls under the category of "bad stuff."
I expected that Carter would write a blog post on her showcase at some point, or perhaps that she would comment on her thread or Blacked's. Actually, many of the pornstars members seem to restrict themselves to their own threads.
Phoenix's visit was surprising because she was only mentioned in passing. Furthermore, she's one of my all time favs.
Speculation that Nikki waited to shoot IR for a bigger day was voiced early in this thread and has been prevalent since Jungle Fever was announced. I never expected her to speak on the issue. As far as I know, most other pornstars in similar situations, such as Amy Reid, have said nothing.
No one wrote any untrue "bad stuff" about Olivia Austin. Interracial4Life posted a blog entry of her's and she in turn stopped by to place her words in their proper context.

From my point of view, no "waiting..." isn't bad but I think there has been some fairly unkind things said here in regards to "waiting...". You know.., the whole they do this and that awful sex act before they'll do a black man. How they somehow don't know what's best for their career by waiting. How "waiting" is going to ruin porn. How immoral it is to want more money for having sex with a black man. The word racist being tossed around in regards to all this...Yep. I call it bad stuff and would be totally annoyed if I read that kind of untrue stuff being said about me. I think most people would.

^No one on this thread called any of those pornstars a racist. Carter wrote about receiving e-mail messages and other harassment from trolls who labeled her a racist. She never wrote that she was called a racist here. Neither did Phoenix. Neither did Nikki. Neither did Olivia.
None of the pornstars who have participated responded to the question of whether or not "waiting" will negatively affect porn, nor did any of them express offense at the belief that it will. Actually, they wrote nothing about most of the supposed "bad stuff" that you mentioned. To the contrary of one of your points, Nikki even stated explicitly that it is indeed wrong, ie. immoral, to get paid more for IR.

At the risk of derailin this thread with a postive outlook...
I think the whole BLACKED thing has spurred a new interest in IR as the other studios look at their success and try and jump on the bandwagon. I see more and more studios placing emphasis on "firsts" of any type regarding IR. I just saw a cover that had a girls name proclaiming it was her "first" IR B/B/G. Other covers have listed "first" IR anal. I think in the upcoming months it will be good times for IR fans. Also, good times for studios because right now it's the lastest "hot" thing. Good times for the girls who do or will do IR and black male talent. While some of you are convinced the sky is falling I think we're gonna see some good stuff from porn when it comes to IR. I'm looking forward to it.

That isn't a "Blacked thing". It isn't even an "IR thing". It's a web/DVD traffic thing, and it will/would apply to basically every first that a girl is going to conceivably do. There are some companies that will only talk about major firsts (i.e. first IR, first anal, first DP, etc), but some (smaller ones especially) will focus on whatever first they can get a girl for, and it doesn't really matter whether it's IR related or not. Theoretically, what Blacked is doing that is good for IR fans is showing that their is a demand to be met in today's market for IR scenes that wasn't being met before, and it looks like their are other companies trying to capitalize on that. You seeing someone advertise a girl's first IR B/G/G scene isn't because of the existence of Blacked or a rise in popularity of IR, it's because of companies realizing that having any first, whether or not it has anything to do with IR, is something that can be used to drive traffic. To the point where "first scene with a certain male performer" can literally be an advertised thing if the male performer is popular enough (James Deen, Manuel Ferrara, Lexington Steele, Prince Yashua, etc.).

I agree that calling a pornstar racist for not fucking black men on camera is kinda silly and wrong. That just doesn't help the conversation at all when fans do that, I don't think it stops girls from doing IR but I do think it could give some girls another excuse.
I didn't say it was the truth, I said that it's the perception. What is the normal pornstar career ark? They start soft and get more extreme/hardcore has there careers go along right? So if a girl does anal, dps, or gangbangs before doing a black guy, she's basically saying that IR is in fact the most extreme thing you can do on camera. To me, that's fucked up.
I don't care about a girls personal life because it's not my business. All I care about is that she's doing black guys on camera before doing all the real hardcore stuff and with in the first 2 years of her doing b/g and if not I won't watch or think about them.

Thanks. Jon Jon is very hit and miss as a performer imo, but I'll probably watch this anyway.
EDIT: Happily, this was a hit rather than a miss for Jon Jon. HOT scene and Nikki looked better than ever.

for years and years I have read and seen everything on interracial porn to the point that hardly anything about it surprises me anymore. yet I am still amazed at some of the so-called logic and rationale that some people can come up with, especially when it comes to racism in this industry. the statement about doing scenes with black guys ruining your career has long since been debunked yet that perception is still prevalent in porn. as far as those who are waiting for a period of time before doing black men the rationale is questionable such as this statement: "it is too soon". another statement said more than once: "i want to build a fan base first". as proven over the years the race of the people you have scenes with has little to do with how popular a pornstar becomes. how you market yourself can be a factor but you either have it or you don't.

Actually it is detestable for these women to want more money to do a scene with someone of a different ethnicity. And the directors/studios that do it including Jules Jordan etc... should cease as it only further makes those kinds of scenes seem anomalous instead of what they are: Standard b/g scenes that should be treated like any other.
As for waiting, that's perfectly fine. Though if it's a situation where a girl does every extreme scene possible and then decides to work with Blacks then it's pretty clear that they think that category is extreme and that's part of the continuation of a pathetic industry belief system.

Like this video, I saw this a few weeks ago and I'm laughing me ass off of this. Now that if Alexis Texas does an IR showcase for Blacked.com or Jenna Jameson shoot her 1st IR scene for Dogfart, they will get the same kind of hate like Carter Cruise did because she did anal, gangbang, and other wild stuff before IR.

^^Rightly or wrongly, what they would be criticized for is having waited so long. The "wild stuff" that Carter Cruise has become known for is not the kind of content that either Alexis or Jenna made their names in.

Well, it's simple supply and demand. Take away the moral platitudes and it is someone charging more for something that someone else is willing to pay more for. They aren't treated as standard b/g scenes within the industry because they aren't treated as standard b/g scenes outside of the industry. Again, this phenomenon ultimately falls on the shoulders of the consumers because they are creating the demand for it.
No, it isn't pretty clear at all. You're making an assumption that all of these performers are exclusively deciding what order to shoot various scenes in, based on a common, very specific, myopic view of their careers. There are dozens of reasons why a girl might shoot one scene before another, and I' not even sure that "A is more extreme than B" even sneaks into the top 5.
But even if that was true, a handful of performers (or more likely agents) thinking that IR is more "extreme" than fill in the blank sex act, doesn't make it so.

^ If just one girl does it, then you can say it was something that was not planned and we can give her the benefit of the doubt, but this is a playbook that the majority of porn girls follow. We know that it is considered the most extreme act the girls can do, maybe not by the girls personally but at least by the porn industry. And I will quote an industry insider who posted on page one of this thread, see how IR is last on the list below, this is why we know it is not a coincidence.

No we don't.
I never claimed it was purely coincidence, nor did I ever claim there wasn't a noticeable pattern. What I did say is that people who continue to claim that it is the most extreme act, or more extreme than some other type of scene do so without any sound logic to back up their statement. That conclusion is based entirely on the premise that women shoot porn exclusively from "less extreme to more extreme" and I've seen nothing but circular logic to back up that assertion.
As already documented pretty heavily in this thread it seems pretty clear that many women wait to shoot various things because they think it is more financially lucrative to do so. The demand for IR would imply that IR is considered less extreme, not more.
Plenty of performers never even attempt to shoot DAP or DPP scenes, yet they'll shoot IR scenes. Others do DAP and DPP before they ever get around to shooting IR if ever. Those things don't mesh in a world where IR is more or less extreme than any other type of scene. You may have your opinions on what is more or less extreme and I'm sure plenty of performers do too, but to try and state conclusively that one type of scene is more extreme than the other, you're going to have to bring a helluva lot better case than "Well, some girls shoot these types of scenes first" because that is a pretty poor conclusion to reach from that evidence.

It's real simple. Our demand means special bonus payments happen in the biz. If IR wasn't so in-demand, there would be fewer hold-outs. These hold-outs, what folk kneejerk and call "dodgers" without hesitation, hear about some girls getting special movies, features by big name studios, to do 1sts.
As we sit and type and complain, producers are actively trying to secure rights to 1st time exclusives.
1st time anal, 1st DP, 1st IR, etc.
It is what it is.
There is a huge demand for anal. So chicks play games.
Big demand for DP.
Big demand for IR, and the demand seems to be rising.
It's just business, and the market dictates it.
We shouldn't be so eager to witch hunt.
Besides, what is better to you? A chick who is not racist, but she plays the game, trying to milk it for all it is worth, which often means holding out and waiting for the optimal time to debut her 1st time whatevers, OR a chick who IS racist but does IR right away cuz it's just a job?
Be careful who you demonize. Personally, because the industry is the way it is, I am inclined to give a grace period for most females, depending not just on how long she's been in porn, but based on how often she works, and how much BG she has done.
If a chick has done 100 scenes in 1 year with no IR, but almost all of them are lesbian. I am not that bothered by it. If a chick has done just 50 scenes in 2 years with no IR, depending on how many of those scenes are BG and how long she's been doing it, I may not be that bothered by it. There are other factors at play.
But if a chick has done like 200 scenes in 3 years, and has been doing BG for over a year, and no IR, then yeah I would say that's BS, although I still don't dismiss all other factors.
It really doesn't even matter how many scenes total or how long total. What matters is how many BG scenes, and also sometimes her body type matters. Black and IR fans don't tend to prefer super skinny plastic chicks.
So I guess I tend to give chicks a grace period of their rookie year doing BG. It could very well be that even if she WANTED to do IR, she may not be getting offered to do it in her rookie year. Maybe she's just not that popular yet, or maybe we aren't even checking for her, or maybe there just aren't enough opportunities. There is only so many IR scenes produced in a year. I don't think thats mostly because of chicks being unwilling to do IR. It's just economics. Supply and demand.
Say there's 1,000 IR scenes produced in LA in a year. Say there's 2,000 female performers. They aren't ALL going to be able to star in an IR scene in this given year. And we also know that some producers will re-use a chick already doing IR instead of getting a brand new chick. So that narrows down the opportunities for rookies even more.
It's never as simple as just someone demanding some girl do IR.
On the one hand, high demand for IR is good for us because it means more companies want to produce it. On the other hand, it means they will be competing with each other to get a girl's first IR, driving up their rates. It's inordinate demand which causes a discriminatory premium.
It's something that only a universal porn commissioner could rule against, but we don't really have one.
I know Lisa Ann said she refuses to pay girls extra to do IR. But that's her prerogative, and maybe it works to her advantage in business, but maybe it limits her gains.
It really makes you wonder how much it pays off for those producers who invest the extra dough to secure exclusive 1st times. Always risk in business.

I'm at a disadvantage here. I don't know who that girl is and don't know how popular she is. While I defend her right to wait to do IR and perhaps get a big payday, I totally acknowledge that not every girl is deserving of a big payday and some girls may wait too late into their career to fully capitalize on it. Is this a girl who lots of fans have been wanting to see do IR? If the fan demand isn't there then she'll never get that big payday. There are probably girls out there thinking that because they're white that big payday for IR is waiting for them but the reality is that without that fan demand there's no reason to pay a girl anymore for IR. Also, if a girl has been around for awhile and her popularity has faded to the point that not many people care about her she probably isn't going to get that payday she was expecting.
I respect a girl's right to do whaever they want with their career but sometimes their decisions aren't always practicle.

It was the same thing with Nikki Benz who waited 12 years to shoot her 1st IR but that is a different story, you should read the comment the video because some people are getting sick of those business move. Justin Long was the only black man in porn to stop doing IR because of this, I guess he got blacklisted for that, and he is out of porn. Ever know her not a big name like Lexington Steele but would Lex do the same thing like Justin Long did. It would be a bigger story because Lexington Steele is a big name, and it would be on TMZ or other mainstream media. How would that impact the industry, as for Karlie she will end up doing IR B/G when her money run out, and will demand a bigger paid check. Would Blacked.com or Jules Jordan paid big money her for her 1st IR?

This. I am not even familiar with her to begin with, so how can I complain about her?
And this is only typical because she did lesbian only for 8 years. But no one is out there campaigning to criticize these female performers if they so choose to only do lesbian work.
In this hyper PC cultural climate, I'm surprised no one is complaining about "sexual orientation discrimination" saying that lesbian-only performers are being sexist.

That's the slippery slope we go down if we follow all of the criticisms to their logical end. And it is an inherent problem with an industry that makes money off of very, very personal things. The performers have to balance between making business decisions and personal decisions and different people are going to balance those things differently (as is their right) but for most of us there aren't thousands of twitter [strikethrough]stalkers[/strikethrough] followers criticizing our every decision.
The single biggest thing I've learned about the posters on this forum from reading threads on The Porn Pool is that people use sexism, racism, and whatever other PC ism they can think of to justify their own wants. And the louder they cry about whatever ism it is they are using the more likely it is that they don't care about it at all and are just using it as some cheap bargaining chip.
I find it interesting that people on here are generally thrilled to express their dislikes as such. you can find tons of people complaining about things they don't like. Yet you'll be hard pressed to find people posting about what they do like. Instead they post about how things should be done, what performers should do what types of scenes, and so on. People are reluctant to admit they love watching midget porn, but they'll stand on the highest mountain they can find and scream about midget rights and how unfair it is that midgets aren't being represented equally, and how the world would be a much better place if midgets were in more porn.
That's not to say that most of these people don't care about racism, sexism, midgetism, or whatever else.... they just don't care nearly as much as they'd lead you to believe. It isn't a cause they are interested in so much as it is a means to and end for them. "If I support midgets in porn, then I should be able to see more midget porn"
As noted above you generally only see outrage over performers not shooting IR if it is a performer that people want to see in IR scenes.
Everybody just wants to get off to whatever it is that turns them on but most don't want to admit it. It's easier to frame it as a social justice issue than a "I like to punch my crotch to it" issue.
Enjoy it 1

It's kinda like what I think about people who own tons of guns and when asked about it start spouting off about "the right to protect themselves...", "civil rights...", "the right to bear arms...", etc...when in reality they couid care less about those things and they just like owning a bunch of guns....but they'll never just admit that.

It's probably not as black and white as I'm making it out to be. If I were a director/studio playing the big bucks for 1st IR game, I'm not going to shell out big bucks to a girl just starting who hasn't bulit much of an audience yet. The last thing I'd want is to pay her a bunch of money, put her on a cover cover saying it's her first IR and have most of the audience say "Who?". But if she's new and it's very obvious she's gonna be a big deal, maybe I take a chance on her but I don't pay her big bucks. On the other hand, if I'm a director/studio and my thing is putting out movies with a steady string of IR firsts, then I'd be more likely to pay new girls more for their first IR but it probably wouldn't be big bucks unless the girl was just amazing. My prediction for this whole thing is that right now there's that big demand for "firsts" and people are willing to pay but after some of the directors see that most girls aren't worth the extra money and it'll go back to the truly worthy girls getting more money and even they won't make as much later down the road.
As a consumer, I could care less about "firsts" for the most part. If a girl I wanted to see do IR did her first IR at DOGFART and I found out she was going to do an IR scene 2 or 3 weeks later at JULES JORDAN or WCP I'd wait for her second or third scene because I know I'd probably like the JJ or WCP scene better. But I'm a DVD guy. If the DOGFART DVD had a "stronger&quotthan JJ or WCP, I'd go with the DOGFART DVD. If I had to choose. I know there are fans who get all caught up in the whole "first" thing but I'm not that type of fan. I'm also not a IR fan for the sake of IR. If I'm not into the girl, I don't care if she does IR, I'm not going out of my way to watch her. BLACKED is the hot new IR company with lots of firsts but I haven't bought anything from them yet because they haven't put a DVD with what I consider a strong enough cast that makes me want to buy a DVD. They have some scenes here and there I'd like to see I haven't seen a DVD with what I'd consider a strong line-up yet. That's not a knock on them, that's me liking certain types of girls and/or girls I'm familiar with. I'm sure at some point I'll buy their stuff.

I think part of the problem with the supply/demand argument is one doesn't know what the demand is until it's supplied. Blacked is a good example. There was a lot of space for high quality black/white content, but no one knew how great it was until they supplied it.
So now the supply is there to satisfy the latent demand that producers didn't know or care about fulfilling.
Concerning the "career progression" theory. That's usually how it goes with girls. Whether pushed by agents of the girls themselves as others have noted. B/g ---> anal--->Black ---> gangbangs/dp/orgies
That's actually the way it's always been with people who wanted to see performers do b/g, anal, or Black/white, or any other kind of scene.
So with Black/white scenes the aforementioned issue is part of it but also legitimate concerns about generalized bigotry that the industry brings with it from society that affects how those in the business act towards Blacks et al.

What do you mean? Do you mean it's okay to demand pornstars have sex with people of a color that they don't want to, but it's not okay to demand pornstars have sex with people of a gender or orientation if they don't want to?
This is why I can't support forcing porn stars to engage in sex they just don't want to. If a female is being picky, or ostensibly discriminatory, she is attacked on the basis that "it's her job, so she has to." The moral argument is, all the male performers, regardless of how they look, what race they are, are still men and equals. The moral argument is also that all male performers, regardless of their orientation, are still men and equals. So we should expect them to work interchangeably, as they are all equals, gay and straight alike.
If you make demands that a performer does something he or she does not want to do, under the guise of morality, claiming you are for equality, then you should be able to make demands that a talent of a gender not be allowed to discriminate based on gender, even if they really don't want to engage in homosexual acts.
Let people do what they are comfortable with. This shouldn't be too hard. This is a fine place to practice laissez faire. Far be it from me to support any racial bias, as I am a huge IR fan, and I don't approve of performers who discriminate on race, but I will tolerate it.
I think the marketplace will soon be dictating that performers who discriminate on race, or "hold out", do so at their own expense, and are by and large just missing out on opportunities. Overall I think it's just their loss right now, and as IR becomes more popular, it's just going to limit their exposure/reach, thus lowering their potential.

It's stupid to me because all "Slippery Slope" arguments are stupid and lazy to me. Who saying girls should have to fuck every single guy in the industry all the time? I never wrote that, I'm saying its fucked up for black and white performers to be treated differently based on race. Why is it OK for a white female performer to demand more money to do with black performers, the samething they've been doing with white performers? That's all I'm asking. I understand why a girl would get paid more for her first b/g scene, first anal scene, first dp scene or first gangbang she really is doing something new so she deserves a little more money.
Why? You telling me you are still willing to spend your money on performers and companies you don't approve of? I don't get that at all.
Hopefully you're right but it's not looking that way right now.

Not sure what you mean. I only support IR-friendly companies. I don't recall ever supporting any brand that did not feature any IR at all.
JulesJordan, WestCoast, HardX, BangBros, ArchAngel. I approve of them, but you have to recognize that even they will sometimes pay extra for a first IR. It's just business, and consumers make it worthwhile usually. Consumers like seeing 1st time IR. Look how popular Blacked is. I'm sure they have spent a pretty penny getting all those exclusives, and consumers have rewarded them in a big way.
If other companies want to restrict their total potential audience by not doing IR, like Brazzers, then it's their loss IMO. I don't like vanilla only brands, but it's their business.

^My bad I was confused, I thought you were saying you support companies even if you don't approve if there content.
Do we know for sure that's true though? If it is then sure EVERYONE should make more than they usually do, but we don't know if IR makes more money then vanilla does.
I think first Ir scenes might make more then the average b/g vanilla scene but not IR in general. You know like I do that the reason girls get paid more for IR was because there was that lame rumor that doing IR would destroy a girls career, so they wanted to be paid more to do it because they thought there was a risk to it. Now in 2015 that theory has been proven false, so why do girls still have to be paid more to do the something they do with white guys to do it with black guys?
guys
That is a great question there, what did happen to all the Latina girls that do IR? I don't even know who the hot, new Latina girls are now because none if them do IR and that's a real shame.

^Like you and Melvyn, I'm confused about the seeming decrease in the number of Latina pornstars who are willing to shoot IR. I think that Mimefreak mentioned in his thread once that some Latinas have told him that they won't shoot IR due to family pressure, but if that's the case then I wonder why this was less of an issue in the past.

This thread is about girls waiting to shoot their first IR be and the main focus is white female performers and the thing is that that is the easiest of the ethnic groups to find a scene a black performer nowadays, hell it seems you can even say BM/AF is pretty easy to find. It seems like quite a reversal doesn't it. At one time finding bm/bf and bm/lf porn was quite easy now bm/lf scenes are basically unicorns. Being that most new Latinas seem to be based in Miami rather than LA and IR being shot in Florida is a scarcity anyway well there is industry invaders but I would not recommend that site that's a strike against the cause. Then you have those that are based in LA or willing to travel don't seem to want to shoot with black men for whatever reason.
I believe that MimeFreak also briefly addressed this a couple months ago when it was brought up in his thread about shooting Latinas with Black Men. In short he stated that LF/BM doesn't sell in addition he also addressed the issue of Latinas not shooting with black men.
His exact words were.
"Also, you have to keep in mind that when it comes to certain Latinas, they have a history of their families not wanting them to film with black guys. I have been told this from three of the girls that have been mentioned here often."
The issue of it not selling well I get being that the primary consumers of it would be black males and we are just not a sizeable enough consumer base so I get that. As for the girls reasons they are what they are so no point in dwelling on them.
To the issues of Latinas that do shoot IR the most prominent I can think of off the top of my head is Alexis Rodriguez although he IR credits are few. Then you have a couple of new girls just breaking into the industry available for IR but haven't been shot yet like Blair Summers she is mixed Latina, Emmi Blake as mixed Latina. Checking out some of the modeling agency sites there are more new Latina girls in the pipeline coming in available for IR in the next few weeks but if the producers feel that it wont sell then the guys like us that would love to see it shot more are gonna be outta luck.

I agree, the best way for IR fans can do make a request to these directors like Mimefreak, Lex, Dogfart, LT, Blacked.com ,and Jules Jordan. All of them have thread on here so that is the best way to do. It sad that not too many Latinas don't shoot IR like it was back in the day. Olivia O'Lovely, Alexis Amore, Monique Fuentes, Ice LaFox, and Mercedes Ashley did a lot of IR. I think the only Latinas is open to do IR is Mercedes Carrera, ever said would do it without a big paid which is cool.

Maybe it says something about cultural stigmas unique to America. Hispanics are already a minority that has to struggle, and probably parents worry that if their kids get involved in a relationship with black partners it will only make it even harder for them. It's sort of a tragic, vicious cycle the way the stigma can perpetuate itself. But I bet if their son or daughter became involved with a white person they wouldn't feel as averse to it. I actually know a friend whose family has such concerns. I don't want to give out any personal details, but my friend and his family are a minority, and while his parents are not too bothered that their daughter is with a white man, they were leery, worried, even upset that their son was with a black girl. It didn't start a feud thankfully, but it did get dramatically heated for a while.
But porn isn't relationships or family raising. It's fantasies. So maybe this stigma and cultural pressure does not explain it, but I do think insecurity has to be a factor.
Also more related I think is that violence between Hispanics and blacks is possibly the most prevalent type of interracial violence in America. I think it's not as bad as it used to be, but it was outright war for a while.
Why can't we be friends? Maybe porn can form an IR coalition to break these barriers down!

^Everything Chanell said in that interview was 100% correct but she didn't tell us anything we didn't already know. I thought the most important thing she said though was at the end when she said that black guys have to pay for porn more.
^^But wasn't that true before? Blacks and Hispanics have always had beef in real life but we still has sexy Latinas doing IR, but now there aren't really any and I'm not sure why.

^You should even mention his name then. If he don't pay for porn, his opinion doesn't matter.
